suh_fan93
This one hurts too. The Cardinals to top it off. Ugh. 1 Quote Link to comment
desertshox
Whoa, Correa fails physical then comes to terms on a 12 yr $315 million deal with the Mets, pending physical. Mets payroll for 2023 will be $350 million with the luxury tax pushing the total over $400 million. Just crazy. Quote Link to comment

AZRaiderH8r
This is the stuff that just drives me crazy about the MLB today. I understand that teams can do this and pay the luxury tax, but when I'm the commish, I will be instating a true salary cap that cannot be exceeded, and a salary floor that must be exceeded. No more huge market teams using their TV revenues to buy championships, and no more teams that don't give a crap and won't invest at least the bare minimum to field a decent team. Granted, the players union will hate me and I'll probably be fired within a year, but what a glorious year it will be. Quote Link to comment

admo
That money ball video was pretty amazing. Never was a fan of Vin Scully and compared him to Al Michaels in the NFL holding on for too long. On a side note, it looks like the Texas Rangers are beefing things up to try to win 65-75 games this year! Quote Link to comment

But, he did have an incredible career there. Their fans loved him and that’s all that mattered. You could say the same thing about Harry Carry. He stayed to long….but I loved listening to him on the radio right up till the end. 1 Quote Link to comment

I agree they both had amazing careers (Scully and Carry) and great for the game. Quote Link to comment
