TGHusker
I anticipate that there will be some nutty, unreasonable and frustrating words and actions coming from this session of Congress. There may also be some good ideas floated that are worthy of debate. I thought I would start a thread reserve just for their honor. Post the Good, The Bad, and The Ugly happenings as you see fit. Ok we had the battle over the speakership in which the GOP leaders looked like anything but. Now we have one of the new leaders (her take) speaking idiotically once again. MTG, aka Marge, says she will not sign the debt bill. Well, we have already established the fact that Marge thought NYC elects the Senator from NY (I'd be a bit peeved if I lived in Albany, or Rochester, etc with that uneducated statement). Now, Marge thinks she signs bills. Only the President signs bills. Miss "I want to be Trump's running mate" Green thinks she has the power to sign. What lunacy. Link to comment

funhusker
The correct answer is to go after corruption no matter the party. especially if one of the folks had a role in the government. 1 Link to comment

Trying to ask what the answer to the question was that the politician gave. The question isn’t the news, the answer is. This ain’t something you need to get combative with. If he said no we won’t look into any potential Kushner corruption then it’s a bad answer, if he says yes they will look into any potential corruption then it’s a good answer. 2 Link to comment

Scarlet
I'll wait until I actually see the 118th Congress investigate Trump's and Kushner's influence peddling before I consider Comer's answer as "reasonable" rather than bulls#!t. 3 2 Link to comment

Archy1221
Agree that this is a pretty dumb place to put a flag down in the budget negotiations. I’m quite sure there are plenty of other gov agencies that have massive amounts of fraud and abuse to cut vs food for low income. 1 1 Link to comment
