  1. The story was on The Journey episode that profiled him. Absolutely love that Bell is on this team. Looked real special from his high school tape as an athlete, and he just keeps improving.
  2. Clapping keeps the Center looking forward at the defense instead of having to look between his legs. It also seems that since we've gone to clapping, the amount of bad snaps by Jackson has decreased.
  3. Seisay rolled his ankle a couple times during fall camp that put him behind. Also Rose played and I think started as a Freshman at Auburn.
  4. Evans is a Junior, never redshirted. We also have Jonathon Rose that will probably play anywhere in the defensive backfield.
  5. While I want to win out, it would be nice to have some room to breath.
  6. Northwester just marched down the field on Michigan easily. Now I don't want to back into the B1G championship game, but I would like the breathing room.
  7. Turner will take one to the house, either a Kick or a Punt.
  8. The whole team, this is the game where everything comes together and we have a dominant performance.
  9. I'm going with it's 20-20 at the start of the 4th Quarter, the Nebraska offense takes over the game and scores 2 tds and wins 34-20. The game will never feel that it's out of our control.
  10. He was impressed by the pull ability of our O-Line, but didn't like the fact that we're not consistent. Also wasn't very high on our defense. He did have some in depth thoughts on our offense and how some things are similar to what they do at Oregon.
  11. Do you really believe this? He rolls once he get's going, but his first three steps are ChoiLike. Probably should qualify it as one of the fastest first 3 steps, Thomas up at Oregon is pretty damn fast. He gets up to his top speed really fast, but seems like he slows a little after 40 yards or so. It's when he's picking his way threw traffic that he's not as fast, but when he finds the hole, he's through as fast as anyone.
  12. Martinez probably has the fastest first 3 steps in all of College football. Also when he sees a hole he's one of the fastest through it. Now if he could get over the ankle injury and be 100%, we'll be set for the rest of the year and beyond.
  13. Think MSU fans should stop bringing up the Johnny Adams PF on the INT return. It's clear from that video above that Bell wasn't really running that hard to get back in the play and got ear holed for it seems no reason outside that he's our leading WR or he was facing Adams all game. It was targeting and they should ask why Adams was even making that sort of play in the first place. But nope, let's just blame it on the refs.
  14. I think on the 2nd Martinez TD run it was supposed to be a pass. At least that's what it looked like after he got done with the PA he saw a lane and hit it. Overall a beautiful play.
  15. It was a bend but not break day. They bent through 3 quarters, but in the fourth quarter MSU ran 11 plays for 30 yards. That's how you win football games.
  16. They were calling DBs tight all game. There was enough contact that according to how the refs were calling penalties warranted a flag. It sucks for MSU that it happened with under 20 seconds left in the game, but it did and they still have 2 games to play to get bowl eligible. If they keep looking at this they will be liable to lose those games. Also the Adams penalty on the INT return td has them up in arms to. What it comes down to is don't put yourself in a position for the refs to call that penalty. You're completely out of the play, there is absolutely no reason for you to lay that type of hit. Also was surprised there wasn't a holding called on the play as they were going up the sideline, oh well. Would need to watch the game again.
  17. More than likely the Rose Bowl will look for the next available Pac 12 team, seeing as they only need to take a non B1G or Pac 12 qualifying team once every 4 years (they took TCU after '10). I have absolutely no clue who we would play if we get the the Rose Bowl.
  18. Eric Martin was suspended for a game for less than that. They want to protect players bla bla bla. Well, that's when you do it, when a guy tries to legitimately knock someone out who is 30+ yards from the action. I hope the punk gets suspended him self. Just reading the quotes on the MSU publications stories and they absolutely hate this call and are calling it BS. Also saw a few mention that Stafford should have pulled up on his late hit. It looked like after he was pushed he lost his balance trying to stop himself.
  19. MSU fans are complaining about this call about as much as the PI call at the end of the game. Call it a legal block all you want, it was still on the other side of the field and about 30-40 yards behind the play. Don't put yourself in a position that it could be called and there wouldn't be a problem. We had the same arguments against aTm in '10. It was a poorly reffed game with a ton of questionable calls.
  20. Watching the highlight on ESPN and Turner was freaking jacked after he caught the ball. Probably jumped 4 ft into the first person to him (don't know who). Great to see him get the TD, great way to start your scoring career.
  21. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/michigan-state-fantastic-flop-looking-penalty-video-213852185--ncaaf.html If it is what I think it is, this is posted on the front page of Yahoo.com
  22. Props to Smith today, 12 tackles including a couple in the open field for losses or no gains that could have been big plays for Sparty.
  23. I'm with you on this, but Martinez got hit in the chin right under the face mask after he threw the ball. There was a lot of movement in the helmet, and that's why it was called.
