  1. I think more notable than Trump making s#!t up, simply because his supporters will believe it, is that he apparently has had no real contact with any of his predecessors. Who else has done that? Why wouldn't you seek advice from those who have held this impossible position? I know the answer, but it helps paint the picture of just how insane this administration has been. I still can't believe anyone voted for this twat.
  2. Has anyone ever seen a more ill-advised fake FG before? My lord. Clemson's got a base defense and you try to run it with a 3rd string QB on 4th and 6?

Then naturally Clemson turns it right into a TD. 37-16. Well timed SEC SEC SEC commercial following on my broadcast.

Saban is getting schooled by Dabo and Venebles.

  3. Do not want Biden to be president. I'd take him over the current situation, but that's an indictment of the situation.
  4. Who didn't roll their eyes watching that POS say he knows more about everything than anyone else?
  5. I'm not sure of the end result, but people will die if he disputes his loss.
  6. At a prior job you had to press 9 to dial out and the 1 was real sticky on everyones' phones. I worked there about 18 months and I think the cops came about 10 times. I did it two days in a row once. I did not realize you should report drunk drivers with 911 though. Makes sense.
  7. Please get rid of the electoral college. The Midwestern states have way too much influence on the presidential elections and get more than their fair share of representation in the senate.
  8. Again, basketball and other sports have so many more games, so each one individually doesn't mean a whole lot. How do you feel about the NFL? Do you have no interest in the regular season? There were several games today with playoff implications. The top teams are fighting for home field advantage, many others simply fighting for their lives.
  9. A lot has changed in SD on that front, specifically the last 10 years or so. Sioux Falls finally has facilities that could actually draw events and both large state schools finally moved up. Cool to see a big time recruit cropping up now too. Mors is a freak of nature for his age.
  10. Every single other level of football has an actual playoff, and I think you'd have to go way down to high school to find a division that has a bracket with as few as 8 teams. 8 teams in a 130-team division is dumb, though not quite as dumb as 4 or 2 has been.
  11. One game in any of those sports is a much smaller portion of the season, and the tournaments go to a neutral site. I've watched the FCS model of 24 teams for years now, it makes the regular season way more interesting when the games actually count for something.
  12. The regular season is more valuable as every game is for either a bid or jockeying for seeding to get home games in the playoffs.
  13. The Sanford Pentagon is a very cool facility. It's designed to replicate a gym from the 1950s, tiny capacity and all. Sanford Health has paid a bunch of high-major teams to come over the years. Wisconsin, Iowa State, Colorado (twice), Wichita State, Oklahoma State, Minnesota (twice), Vanderbilt, Iowa, Memphis, UNLV and more have all played there in the past 5 years. Tim Miles and Greg McDermott were actually just at the Pentagon a few days ago to watch Matthew Mors play, so there's at least one recruit who could be interested in this one.
  14. If that's the type of fun you are looking for then you are going to be sorely disappointed. The night life is pretty bad in Sioux Falls.
  15. 8 would be a start. Imagine how fun (and profitable) the March Madness version of college football would be. I can't believe the NCAA hasn't implemented a real playoff yet. I really like the FCS model of 24 teams with the top 8 getting a bye, and home games through the early rounds. Regular season games mean a lot more when at-large bids and seeding are constantly in play, and the playoff games would be significantly more watched than comparable bowl games. For example - I can not muster any reason to care about Washington playing Ohio State in the Rose Bowl this year, but I would absolutely be watching if the winner went on to play Oklahoma or Georgia in the quarterfinals. Same with Texas-Georgia or any other "marquee" bowl game. All of them are pointless exhibitions and it's amazing they've been kept around in this capacity for so long.

The system is the obvious issue. A one-loss power conference champ missing the playoffs should never happen. Can not believe we are still at 4 teams.
  17. If you want proof of this being a hype award, look at Manti Te'o. One of those very rare defensive players to be a Heisman finalist. I'm sure it was complete coincidence that he happened to play for Notre Dame, during their best season in many years, in which they were set to play for the national title, while he got plenty of headlines for having a dead girlfriend (that didn't actually exist). I'm sure his stat line on any other team that year without the personal headlines would have gotten him to New York. (please know this is sarcasm)
  18. I have similar thoughts, but I also have to wonder if the "ball park" of the best this program has ever had is good enough. No one else has ever had the support that Tim Miles has had. This team might accomplish more than any other in program history, but it still begs the question of whether one (hypothetical) tourney win in 7 years is good enough. Take into account that since Tim Miles took over that 11 of the 14 Big Ten programs have won a tournament game. That puts Nebraska in company with Rutgers and Penn State as the only ones who haven't won a game. Seems to me like anyone should be able to clear that bar with the amount of support UNL has put behind Miles. Maybe he has learned how to win at a power conference level and will make us proud in the coming years, but there's legitimate reason for doubts.
  19. If the sitting Democrats don't move to impeach then I'll view them as having failed us and would like them removed. On the flip side, Republican voters won't give a s#!t one way or the other and will stay the course. Why wouldn't you move for impeachment if the president has committed a crime?
  20. Pure sarcasm on my part. But someone out there is giving those very well laid out facts an eye roll instead of actually trying to refute them. Mr. Eyeroll is a great microcosm of what's wrong with this country.
  21. Wait. If I hire an unqualified rube and they hurt the company it would come down on me? I don't believe you.
  22. How many other guys have coached in a facility with their name on it?
  23. Iowa State is playing Drake today. A literal non-scholarship team. It's 27-24 at the start of the 4th quarter, Drake with the ball looking to take the lead. They were 40+ point favorites. I watched USD beat this team by 70 last year. This is just unfathomable.
