  1. Love the use of the word here. Thank you for reminding me to put that word back in my daily verbiage.
  2. The ego of our fan base is so misplaced considering the performance over the past ten years. The only program that has the right to this kind of ego is Alabama. s#!t, we're a three win team and look down our noses at talent. I can't wait to see the torch and pitchfork mob after a few games where we don't score 77 points a game. I'm with you in your analysis. I'm just sitting here laughing/crying at how ridiculous some folks are.
  3. I've been getting a kick out of these "No Rattler" posters on this and other forums. They'd be foaming at the mouth to have the #1 QB in his class even remotely interested in Nebraska. To all of a sudden act like he's no good is just classic Nebraska fan crimson colored glasses. Seriously, how can anyone be above a former 5* qb considering we're coming off four losing seasons in a row? It just mind blowing.
  4. Do transfer portal guys have to commit to programs on the major signing days or can they sign whenever they want?
  5. I was thinking about this same thing today. We need a RB's coach but with the development we've seen under Beckton over the last few years, I'd be nervous to move him to a different role. That group is about the only group on Offense that has seen any kind of improvement. With Fidone coming up, I'd want the guy that I trust to develop TE's working with him every day. Maybe Beckton is such a good coach that he develops players regardless of position. Now I'm just talking in circles. That's the result of reading like 150 pages of threads the past few days.
  6. This the best take I've read through this whole process. Classic Nebraska fan.
  7. Not sure how high anyone else is on this kid, but I really like Chubba Purdy. Whipple was with him yesterday before the news was breaking he was coming to Nebraska. Based on HS stats alone, he could be an impact player here. No matter what, if we bring in a transfer qb, Smothers is likely gone. Still leaving us with only two scholly qb's.
  8. I keep seeing KSU mentioned as a potential landing spot. What's this speculation based on? I'm missing something as to why that would be a good home for Adrian.
  9. He's going to graduate from UCLA after playing seven years of college football. I'm gonna miss him. He was a warrior but I don't think this really surprised anyone.
  10. Frost knows what he's going to do...
  11. I'm about to drink 13 barley targets today after work.
  12. What about Pat Narduzzi? He's 48-36 at Pitt. He knows the B1G and is only making 3.2mm/year.
  13. There's no way Campbell or Fickell will take this job. They're too much of a commodity right now to lower their standards to that of Nebraska.
  14. Jesus I hate Minnesota fans. They've all inherited the traits of their weirdo head coach. If I was ever going to row a boat, I'd like to use this person as the oar. Ugh.
  15. I was thinking about this same thing on Saturday. At the end of AM's career, he'll lead every major offensive QB category and will have only won 14 games. The play designs are still creative and our stud receivers get open. Manning on the 2nd play of the game, Toure at the end of the half, Betts in the middle and almost ran the wrong way, Allen again and again and again, it goes on and on. The offensive system works we just have a stooge at QB that can't get the job done. What concerns me is that we don't have any pocket passers with accurate arms that can throw consistently to these open receivers. As much as we love the running game, you can't really do that with our line right now. They need to keep a defense honest by throwing the ball down the field. I'm curious about Smothers but like Martinez, he was recruited as a dual threat so that leaves us with Haarberg and the kid from Texas in this recruiting class. Neither one of them can play right now so I'm afraid that we're stuck in this holding pattern for at least two years. If that's the case, Frost will default to the run first, pass second type of QB. The problem with that is it makes us one dimensional and the defenses we play know exactly what to do. Furthermore, moving the ball down the field now relies only on the QB and that creates a deficit where the other relevant talent on the field is rendered useless. We're basically playing one against eleven when on offense instead of eleven vs eleven.
  16. How dare you suggest alternatives to my finger pointing. Mind your own business, sir.
  17. Fleck is obviously not Jim Harbaugh, but this rah rah rah stuff gets on my nerves. It wouldn't bother me if NU was winning but they're not and I can't look inward so I point my anger at people who annoy me. PJ Fleck is that person right now. What kind of person goes by PJ anyway. Jesus. "I'm really proud of how good you've gotten"? Give me a break. Who says s#!t like that? People who are too positive.
  18. I learned that I dislike PJ Fleck and Gophers more than I dislike Iowa. The extra long hug and commentary he gave Adrian at the end of the game made me want to puke. What the hell is that BS? God dammit I cannot stand that guy. Adrian is too nice of a kid to push him away and tell him to pound sand. I also remembered that this team has no desire. That's the other thing I learned. I knew in my heart that losing to OU, MSU, and Michigan like they did was going to take the wind out of their sails and that's exactly what they looked like on Saturday. I, like everyone else, knew that game was over when we went down 14-3. Nuff said. The title of these threads should be "____: What do we remember" because everyone seems to remember that we're a bad football team when they lose to teams like Minnesota and Illinois. MSU, OU, and Michigan are just enough to make us think that we might actually be good when in reality we're not. Ugh - I hate watching this team lose like this.
  19. If Frost isn't careful on the sidelines, he's going to get called for intentional grouching.
  20. There are some good ones in there. The Luke Reimer one is the best. He's an awesome football player but he is ugly as sin.
