  1. It looked more back shoulder when I first saw it live, his head definitely was not "across the bow," but more legit and closer to Bell than I initially thought. Like I said, I love the aggression, but I guess Bells block and how football is being dumbed down makes me question if it was worth it.
  2. Westerkamp. I don't think it was necessary. I like the aggression, but it's a risky block 5 yards away from ball and crossing the end zone. Just my opinion.
  3. Carlos Hyde just scores and flexes at the crowd, on the road, where's the flag for that?
  4. Where's this steroid slander come from? Other than the kid recently kicked off the team, what makes him slip that in? I was born in '85 and earliest accusations I heard were Peter's deal and of course Phillips. My Dad doesn't recall any proof either. Can anybody fill me in?
  5. Is the process similar for smartphone/tablet users? I'm sure I've been guilty of this (and really didn't care).
  6. At least Brian Kelly has been to a National Championship, Urban's and Saban's records speaks for its self, and Will...don't care. Is yelling the modus operandi for coaches above? Do recruits want to come here so they can get yelled at on national TV? So you can only yell if you've won a national title or been there? Oh, ok.
  7. I though Bo actually kept his calm really well during the UCLA game even with the terrible officiating. He really only chewed them out once and it was extremely tame compared to his history. It doesn't help that two of the three games were not B1G refs. These home-and-away series need to end, IMO.
  8. If it should just be dropped, then why is everyone discussing it, even the guy NEEDING to put his 12minutes in?
  9. You think they decide to announce starter on Saturday? Let them get a good night rest and fresh for action?
  10. Turman as far as I can remember. That's a miller lite "good call." There's been something different about TM all season, no doubt. Whether injury or coaches new orders. If he's banged up, let him mend and come back full strength down the stretch. Another shoddy offensive performance and loss with TM "toughing it out," obviously won't go over well.
  11. I know he's on schollie this year, but when's the last time a walk-on QB started for NU? Tommy's the future, but RKIII starting would be a neat storyline and I'm in favor of seeing it happen. But, then let those two duke it out and see who performs best. We need these two game ready if TMs injury lingers.
  12. Did we run Callahan out? No his W&L record did that to him. Are we running Bo out? No his epic blowout losses on national TV and telling the fans to F' off did that. The only person who has any gripe would be Solich and there are plenty of rumors surrounding his demise. Cosgrove? Watson? Bohl? Carl? Callahan? These guys won't even talk about their experience at NU, why is that? It's not just W/L. My dad met Cosgroves brother a couple years back, said some actions by the fanbase toward his brother were in the nature of rumors that Dan Beabe vocalized from his experience. Were those coaches successful here? Nope, not really, but why won't they talk about their time here? We're going on 12 seasons of inconsistent mediocre teams and every offseason a group of fans want the HC gone. 12 years of overrated teams is a trend that is far separating us from any elite status and is making an already difficult program (which I'm proud of) look less and less appealing for any coach to consider us a "dream job," except maybe Scott Frost. Look at Texas Tech, Kansas, and USF after their coaching debacle, programs that may never recover and were on the cusp. I just see this getting worse before getting better. That goes with high end football, college or Pro. People wanted Les Miles fired for going 13-1. Can't stand the heat, keep out of the kitchen. Dealing with/ignoring this type of thing is part of why they make several million dollars a year. And seriously, you are really putting NEBRASKA in comparision with TT, KU and USF?!? And TT looks like they might have hit it good with Kingsburry. What has NU done in the last decade? TT and KU each had a shot at a natty more recently.

  14. University of Nebraska Football, where coaches get run out of town.
  15. Right or wrong, this will do more harm to the program than to Pelini.
  16. I agree, I don't think Xs and Os was the major issue. They don't have a "take charge" leader. They don't have a player on either side of the ball that is a game changer or one that is consistently reliable, not yet. And I also don't think they play the right talent at the right positions or time of game. TM not being 100%, I don't care if he is tough, if he is limiting his playmaking ability, get RK3 or TA in there. Why was a 6-7 string WR in at a critical time of game, Wullanwaber's dropped pass. The coaches are holding kids back and not getting them in the game, as they did with Lavonte and Phillip Dillard, off the top of my head. This coaching staff reminds me of my late high school baseball coach, he knew the game so well but was not good at coaching players up, did a good job of bringing them down.
  17. You're describing "paralysis of perfection," and I think you're correct. It's why we see the defense scrambling around to get plays and personnel in when they should just be out there, ready to play. At least one of UCLA's blitz of 3rd-quarter TDs came on a short-yardage play near the goal line where they got the play in, snapped the ball and scored before half of our defenders were within 2 yards of their correct position. All I can picture is Benny telling Smalls, "Man, you think too much!"
  18. Guess Bo finally sees this, hope he knows how to make it happen now and right the ship. He doesn't have to be Pete Carroll, but he needs to loosen up and have fun himself, like the hip checks he gave his LSU players.
  19. He called, I think Ciante's, "pick-six" a "six-pick" on air. I'm hoping he was making fun of himself by repeating that phrase again. It was awkward. He has been better than last year on Fox, he still shows little personality, but hope he continues to develop.
  20. No then maybe UW could lure away you're favorite coach Bo Pelini away from the Huskers if Sark goes back to USC. We know how much you love old BO Considering UWs AD and Bo have history, enough to call Bo up and ask about Sark before hiring him, that's not too outlandish of a statement.
  21. If a cow laughed hard enough, would it squirt milk out of its nose?
