@ZRod No one is denying it’s not about slavery, but I don’t suggest omitting timelines to make this war about nobility of the north in regard to slavery,  when the first and foremost cause of the war was to preserve the Union.

For as much bashing on the confederate states, the Union could have as easily freed the slaves prior to any secession or battle, instead they waited and used them as a political ally to win the war through recruitment with the promise of being freed. Does that not raise concern to you that their freedom was contingent on winning the war? 

@whateveritis1224 I have read that quote mentioned at the end of the article and I understand why people feel the way they do about Lee, then again, that sentiment was held by the majority of people at the time, even Lincoln didn’t think black people deserved the same rights as whites, ie. voting, serving as jurors, etc. So when do we cancel Lincoln?

Lisa’s Radial is great too. I am big Shirley’s Diner fan though. Prior to moving into the Pizza Hut, their prices could not be beat, but it’s still my go-to.

General Lee was the definition of a statesman. He was committed to fighting for whichever side his state of Virginia chose to align with, which was decided by a vote that he had nothing to do with. Unless informed of specific examples of racism, most evidence (from letters) would show he disagreed with slavery

@funhusker I hear ya and with that, to each their own, respectfully. I want the option to be available for those who want to dine-in and return to daily activities. I am not jumping at going out, but we needed it for our sanity, and I’ve been gauging my activities from there, still primarily just groceries and Lowe’s.

There are things I agree with and things I disagree with and before I go political, I’ll leave it at that.

Yeah I hope they can get back to normal soon and that more people start returning to old routines as it permits. Hopefully others overtip to help make up for the lack of volume 

Went to The Drover two weekends ago. So damn good and felt great to take the fiancé out on a date again. 

That was a great game with a lively crowd that night, of course the fireworks on the field helped stir the fans. One of the best tailgates and games I’ve been to. 

I don’t even know anyone that can confirm they’ve gotten it, only that in the last 2-3 months I know two people who have said they “had something that wasn’t the flu and not like a cold.”

Whoa. I’ve never heard of that story before, I’m going to have to shame my dad for not relating the story. My arm was effed before and especially effed after but made due. Wish I had the x-ray though :/

I was at a 5 day baseball camp in middle school and on opening night testing, I was at the speed gun and tried stopping my arm mid throw which resulted in a spiral fractured humerus. Snapped in half and sounded like the loudest cracked knuckle you could imagine. Ended up discovering a unicameral bone cyst.

I make cappuccino daily and Green Beans espresso beans are my go to blend. I like the flavor and I like their business model, the franchise owner in Omaha is a good person and like to support his cause. If I add any sweetener to the cappuccino, then I like Monin’s dark chocolate syrup and their white chocolate powder, sometimes I’ll add cinnamon too...if I’m feeling really wild!!!
