Who are you going to be the interim coach? Langsdorf? Mr. throw the fade instead of working the clock in regulation? or Fiasco-Mr Rush 3? there is not a good choice.
He wants to keep unity in the team for now. The loss to PSU and Iowa will seal the deal (if it's not already done). He's use to bringing in football coaches and was hired to fix the football mess. I dare say that season ticket demand and sellout streak will go in the toilet if MR is retained. Moos is smarter than that. MR is a dead man walking imo.
Down 17-7. With a few seconds left in the half, NU throws a pass instead of kicking the FG??!!!Somehow they get 1 second left on the clock. Line up to kick and the OL false starts.
....
Defense doesn't want to fill gaps verse Wisc. Rather dive at a guy.
Cant line up correctly. Outflanked.
its crap like that. Coaching 101 mistakes. No killer instinct. missed tackles galore. No pressure on the QB. Wilbon starting verse OSU. Same running play. No imagination. Toss sweep? Weak Oline. Backups better than starters. 60 pound advantage on the Oline verse NIU...let's not run at them.
I wanted MR to win big in Lincoln (as I do all the NU coaches) but it's time to say goodbye. He won't win here. He's lost or already knows he's gone after the season. Bring in someone who can be fundamentally sound and get every ounce of the talent here.
I'm pretty sure I'd throw up immediately if "Bubble Bohl" was brought back. Try to block the pain with alcohol and eventually nature would run its course. So yes and no.
You can run at Purdue and push them around. NU needs tighter coverage on defense.
Nothing in NU's recent history suggest they will do either. I imagine it will be more head scratching, telegraphing offense and Diacos prevent D to start the game.
I may be the only one watching Purdue and Rutgers, but Purdue has been unimpressive imo. Seems NU should be able to line up and run right at them. Rutgers is having some success just dumping the pass off the rbs. Purdue moves the ball but isn't tough in the red zone. lots of finesse and trick plays
Urban Myers coaches and fires up his team during the breaks. MR stands with his hands in his pockets thinking about bicycle rides and if he will ever say "hip hip horray."
