  1. I noticed that also. So....are they basically doing what we have complained that the SEC teams do? How do you get more than 25 per year average?
  2. Have you heard anything different than this article from yesterday? From this, it sounds like both players will be back for the game. http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/66262/injury-updates-for-b1g-title-game
  3. OK...I know this is nit picking and probably is just a pet peeve of mine. But, I'm sitting here and watching the press conference and am chucking about something it seems like all of our players do during press conferences. Can you please put your book bag down somewhere else then come in? Are you trying to look studious or something? I know it's stupid. But, I have to chuckle.
  4. This is Nebraska's third trip to a CCG in 5 years. However, I have to assume this is the first time out of those three that the conference actually would prefer us to win.
  5. No matter what, we are going to have a very good team to beat in the bowl game. It will either be Stanford (probably) in the Rose Bowl or LSU, Georgia or aTm in the Outback or Capital One bowl. We will have the opportunity to prove to the world we are a top program.
  6. with the B1G site you have to look hard to even find out who is playing. I left my feedback telling them how they suck compared to the PAC12. Maybe not in that harsh of words though. http://www.bigten.or...0-feedback.html This is the football page. http://www.bigten.org/sports/m-footbl/big10-m-footbl-body.html
  7. Why would the polls rank a team higher that can't play in the post season AND it's possible some of the players benefited from what they did to get banned from post season?
  8. Sad...sad news. I'll hug my kids a little harder tonight.
  9. They should be able to compete with the middle of the pack. This also shows that our recruiting has been decent compared to the conference.
  10. Because we are fans. I guess i don't understand fans that constantly have to point our every single fault of our players. See this is what gets me about Nebraska fans. Why can't we just say Taylor's a good QB? Because saying he's a top 5 QB is ridiculous. We're always wearing our red glasses and not being unbiased. Taylor is: 45th in the nation in completion % 57th in the nation in passing yds tied for 31st in the nation in passing TDs 30th in the nation in quarterback rating 7th in the nation in rushing yds by a QB He also has sole possession of lead for the entire country in fumbles for any position, which he's led the previous two seasons. He's a good QB by Nebraska standards, because we've got little experience with QBs who's primary strength was throwing the ball. If you want to claim he's one of the top 5 dual-threat QBs in the country, then I could accept it. Because he'd be in the discussion with Miller, Klein, etc. who all trail Manziel by a long ways stats-wise in pretty much all categories.
  11. If all of our scoring is going to come from just two players. On a good note, those two players are playing better. If Miles can find one or two more that can score it will help out allot.
  12. I would be excited to play either UCLA our Oregon. I want another shot at UCLA and id love to try to beat Oregon.
  13. Win the LOS and we win the game. We Jane the horses behind them to win on both sides if the ball.
  14. It's time for Rome and others to step up. This is what they were recruited for and they have the ability. They just need to prove it. I am a big fan of Jackson's. But, supposedly the competition was really close at the beginning of the year. Time for Pelini to show us why.
  15. I really don't understand your hate for Beck. Tell me, what would you like that he do differently? We ran the ball 53 times today, while throwing the ball 14 times. That's almost 4 run plays for every pass. If we had Chip Kelly as an OC people would still complain. That is so true. They act like our offense is absolutely horrible.
  16. If we lose, do we still go to a BCS game?
  17. What i can't figure out is how their roster is so bad. Art one point they were bringing in some good classes.
  18. 37.5 points per game. 23 rd in the country and second in the conference. Scoring has been pretty good.
  19. 1 cup cold water 3 TBS spoons tender quick 2 tsp mustard seed 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp coarse black pepper 2 tsp liquid smoke 3 LBS ground venison 1 cup cheddar cheese 2 jalapenos Mix first 6 ingredients till tender quick is dissolved. Mix in Venison, cheese and peppers. Divide mixture in half and form into logs 2 inches thick. Wrap in aluminum foil and refrigerate 2 hours. Remove from aluminum foil and put on cookie sheet. Bake for 1.5-2 hours at 300 degrees. Cool on rack till room temperature. You can replace some of the venison with either beef or pork of you like. Sometimes it helps it stay together. Enjoy. I'm looking for a really good jerky recipe. I need one for the oven because I don't have a dehydrator. Thanks.

  21. AFTER a company files for bankruptcy protection - they can obtain special financing that is less risky to the creditor. No doubt the financial climate at the time likely would require them to apply for financing through the US Treasury to cover what couldn't be obtained through private financing. But the GM bailout was backwards. The US Gov "financed" them BEFORE the bankruptcy. There is a very large difference between "bailout" loans and bankruptcy financing. -- back to Twinkies. That's a wonderful post that does nothing to answer the question of who was going to loan GM the money to stay afloat at that time. This revisionist history where the money was just sitting there waiting to be loaned out, but instead the U.S. government swooped in to bail out GM anyway is fanciful, but not true. There was no private capital being made available. Read post BEFORE reply works better. If it's still not clear after all the bold and colors added. The who you are asking for is still likely the US Treasury. I was agreeing with you on that point. The difference is whether the loan is made as part of a bailout package pre-bankrupcy or part of a post-bankruptcy financing loan. Us evil right-wing Republicans weren't against the US Gov being a part "saving" GM. It's how it was done that we don't agree with. It's one thing to be the creditor financing a bankruptcy where the courts determine how the company is restructured and what happens to the debt. It's another thing entirely bypassing the bankruptcy process and the Gov taking on the role of a bankruptcy court but without US Law to guide how the debt is handled. And, this is the main difference between what Obama did and what Romney was saying needed done. It should have been allowed to go bankrupt and then restructured through the bankruptcy court with the government financing.

  23. Why is Sagarin so much different than the NCAA SOS?
  24. One of the dumbest decisions in a long time was to take Burkhead out of the wild cat on those lay few plays with the best field goal kicker in the nation.
