Okay: Your Saturday Itinerary...What does it look like?
Verin replied to teachercd's topic in Husker Football
I work nights, not quite graveyards, but almost, so it's an even guess either way about when I pass out. Here's the optimal gameplan: 8am: college gameday.Might take a nap if they piss me off too much. I'm not a fan of 80% quality of life stories, 20% football. 9:45 start making Brats for breakfast, my first Mojito of the day. 10:00 Pirate the Georgia / UL-M game, start serious drinking. 1:30 Watch the Nebraska game, probably the disappointed since my favorite type of offense is 60%+ rushing, get ranty texts from Moiraine. Rest of the day is going to be hazy. Will watch the Bama Badger game if I'm awake. Not really sure on other games. -
All Westerchamp does is win.

***2015 Game 1 "Expert" Picks: BYU @ Nebraska***
Verin replied to Saunders's topic in Husker Football
Last I saw, the line was seven, so most of these seem like pretty safe predictions. -
Again is Sam being overly negative about this team?
Verin replied to NUinID's topic in Husker Football
Well, on the bright side, Oline shouldn't have any cotton plants this year. I watched that USC game, still trying to figure out how they went form pretty good to world beaters. -
I think if you're starting now, Vodka Gummy Bears for Saturday would be a better bet.
-
Gonna need some honey smacks now.
-
You guys act like top 25 means world beaters. End of the year the bottom tiers of top 25 will be 7-5/8-4. I'm with you though, in some areas. Still getting used to teams from Mississippi having winning records.

Huskerboard's 2015-16 College Football Playoff Predictions
Verin replied to Scratchtown's topic in Other Sports
Too many, boring, realistic, predictions in this thread. 1. TCU. 2. Michigan St. 3. Georgia 4. Nebraska. -
There seems to be a lot of Polynesians on the BYU roster. Any reason for this? A lot of Mormon missions have gone to that part of the world. As a result there are a lot of Mormon Polynesians. That's all I can think of. There's that, but all the Western schools seems to get a lot of them.

All the above, plus BYU's coach is named BRONCO. Closer than the experts think.

Which Husker will be the most supportive of breasts?
Verin replied to Moiraine's topic in Husker Football
I hear they are all dyeing their pubes pink and changing name of the team to Busthuskers. -
Ohio State opens up 5 point favorite. Who ya got?
Verin replied to The Maudfather's topic in Husker Football
51-20 Huskers. B Mill isn't 100% and Urban Meyer is overrated. This won't even be close friends, MSU is on a downward spiral and OSU isn't nearly as good as ESPN would have us believe. 300 for T-Magic, 150 for rex.- 193 replies

Seahawks win vs GB shows the way, Pete Carroll

I think anybody could do it with the corners and safeties he has. Those bros are huge. -

You're always in a huff, Moiraine. -

He's got such a great love for Nebraska that I thought he was going to probably be there forever... I think he's a smart man, one of the greatest football, college football, coaches in the history of the game."

I doubt they were sober. Then again I don't think Nebraska fans are sober when they post either. . The white out will probably work as well as Tennessee's sea of orange.

Well he's from Alabama, what did you expect?

Wisconsin D-End Provides Bulletin Board "Throwing Rocks" Material
Verin replied to Landlord's topic in Husker Football
Yeah, the Badgers are the Mizzou of the Big Ten. Just run it down their throat, and when they can't stop the run, start throwing on first down. They are only allowing 80 yards per game on the ground, but it's not like they've been playing LSU or anything. -
That run was pretty cool.

Hahaha. If you honestly believe what you said right there.... I must respectively say you might be kinda stupid... respectfully of course. Please let me know what Baton Rouge and Tuscaloosa have that Lincoln doesn't. Please tell me. Inbreeding, higher rate of illiteracy, more mosquito and flies. Top five states for recruiting are (by the amount of BCS level talent) are. 1. Texas 2. Florida 3. California 4. Georgia 5. Ohio It's hard to get kids out of the southeast. Besides all the reasons already mentioned, a lot of these kids have grown up wanting to play for the in state school. Georgia hasn't won a NC since 1980 and their 2013 class is top ten, which tells you something. Don't get rid of Pelini, you might end up with Terry Bowden. I think Bo's anger has a certain creative appeal, much like Spurrier's visor tosses. Luckily Ohio state is in the other division, so there's a chance to make it to the Big Ten championship game every year. That's something to build off of. Success will bring recruits. At least Nebraska has California connections, and I doubt the UCLA game will change that. If you really must have another coach, maybe someone can coax T.O. out of retirement (again).
-
LBs, D-Line, O-line, and Martinez are not going to get it done
Verin replied to rationalfan's topic in Husker Football
UCLA's 344 rushing yards were the problem. Abdullah looked good when he was in. -
So what do you think. Punted out of the top 25
Verin replied to BigRedPowerWagon's topic in Husker Football
I wouldn't worry to much about the polls. You'll probably still be ranked. If voters Hammer Nebraska like they did Michigan you'd still be #25. The thing with polls though is you always get the greatest reward/punishment for winning/losing late in the season. Nebraska can still win the big ten and might even be able to crack the top ten by December. No NC probably but probably wasn't going to happen anyways with the press's hard on for UCS/Bama/LSU. Most of the teams in the Big Ten look average. Except Sparty, Bell and the defense are good. Ohio state is average if you can handle miller. Go undefeated the rest of the season. ^^ I'm not a husker, I'm a UGA alum. I was feeling pretty good about tonight before Arkansas embarassed the vaunted SEC. Hahaha. The Mizzou game was closer than the final score would indicate. Our OLB, Jarvis Jones, practically won the game himself. He intercepted Franklin and ran it back for a touchdown, or should have (he was marked down inside the one). Next series he sacked Franklin and forced a fumble in the red zone, which was converted for a touchdown. HIs stats were 8 tackles, sack, interception, forced fumble. That's enough about Georgia though, nice to meet you people. ^^ -
Bama?! You're not the oak poisoner are ya?
-
We're probably ranked a little high, but the real reason for the line is we're missing at least four starters on defense. I wish mizzou were ranked. It's a trap game. Looks like the polls showed Nebraska a little love. Now please beat msu and oOSU. Interesting. A tiger cannot teach a bulldog how to bark. why would you need to teach a bulldog how to bark? /unshun Ask Verin. He's better at getting sayings right. /reshun I think moir's just trying to be witty and Mysterious.
