  1. Not only will this hurt for recruiting in the south but it also hurts us in Colorado. Warren was responsable for landing Eric Lee and Avery Anderson.
  2. https://twitter.com/thayerevanssi/status/566221527255773186 Looks like coach Warren is leaving for North Carolina. Hopefully we move fast on his replacement and get a good one.
  3. Oh trust me the bad loses we had against quality programs meant something. Getting 9 wins is good but doing so only against the weak doesn't cut it. Need to beat the big boys. Bo couldn't do that.
  4. Haha got my hopes up but I still think there is a legit chance he comes on staff. If he has expressed interest and Riley has been told of his interest... it could very likely happen.
  5. I think he would be best served as DL coach and recruiting coordinator.
  6. Why I hate people asking about the players reactions after coaching changes immediately. Of course they will be unreasonable and emotional.
  7. Ed O would be huge for recruiting!!! Not sure he is nothing more than a DL coach though.
  8. Never thought for a moment that the fanbase wouldn't be won over by him quickly. He's an extremely nice and easy person to deal with. Sure in the end it will all come down to wins and loses but from a figurehead/face of a program aspect, he is perfect for Nebraska. In all honesty he will remind some of TO. This is a man that has a lot of experience and knows how to coach.
  9. As most expected, we will see a completely different staff that fits to his likings. No square pegs in a round hole. Will be interesting if any Pelini staff members are retained. There are a couple I hope stay but they may not be fits now.
  10. Wow a very good head coach but completely out of left field!!!
  11. Would've been right near the top of the list I would assume but none the less a very good hire for Florida.
  12. Was just going to state that myself, not enough people talking about Wittingham as an legit option. Very good hard nosed head coach that has great ties to both Texas and Florida. Much like Patterson at TCU, he had to move his program from the MWC to a P-5 conference. Took some adjusting but he is getting it back up to the top again. Wisconsin made a similar hire in going out to Utah and grabbing Gary Anderson (was Wittingham's DC when they went 13-0). They are very similar type of coaches in make-up.
  13. That is the interesting thing about Bielema... we may not care for him as a person but we do realize he fits exactly the type of football coach we are looking for. His style of offense and defense is a great fit for Nebraska and the B1G.
  14. Bert is a darn good coach but his personality is just tough to swallow. He is a classic case of if he wins, it doesn't matter how much of a prick he is. His brand of football is a great fit for Nebraska though.
  15. Good ol' Bert! lol I'll admit Bielema is a darn good coach and he did very well at Wisconsin. He is just now starting to get Arkansas turned around but he may feel he is a better fit for Nebraska. Bielema is not the "best" human being out there but his job is to win ball games plain and simple. He definitely plays a style of football I very much enjoy and him being at Nebraska would definitely make the rivilary against Wisconsin blow up. The SE connections to Wisconsin/Bielema make sense.
  16. Splash hire, experienced winning coach, high moral character.... David Shaw
  17. Shaw would be a absouletly GREAT hire! Love his style of football, the type of man he is and his ability to run a football program. Sure Stanford is 7-5 this year but they are a few breaks from being 10-2 as mentioned. Again the type of coach and man Shaw is would go over extremely well with the Nebraska faithful.
  18. One can not truely judge Craig Bohl off his record at Wyoming this year. Even Wyoming fans will tell you he was facing a major uphill battle to start with the shape the roster was in. They won 4 games this year and the fans still love him like crazy there... that says a lot right there. Will be very interesting to continue to follow Bohl and his rebuild of Wyoming.
  19. Bingo Elf!!!! If SE wants TO's opinion, he will seek it but in the end it will be SE's decision on who the next head coach will be. It is his job, not TO's anymore.
  20. Sure you can always try but he is never going to leave Texas unless he tried his hand in the NFL. He is as Texan as you get when it comes to football coaches. If he isn't going to take the Texas job, why would he take the Nebraska job?
  21. Some of the best news I've heard in a long time! Welcome back Boyd! :-)
  22. Always great but that was AWESOME!!! Thanks for sharing.
  23. I like that we as a fan base stay classy but in a game like last night against a program like Miami, it is ok to show our displeasure. They are "Thug U" for a reason and how much grief our players this week and in the distant past have received from them warrants displeasure from our fan base. How often has Miami ever played Nebraska in Lincoln? We generally always get them in the Orange Bowl with their fan base riding our players. I agree the team fed off the energy last night. The physical nature of our offense/defense was very old school Husker football!
  24. FB Luke Sellers (6'1", 230-pounds) out of Papillion La Vista South has been offered by Wyoming today. Would not surprise me to see him commit there relatively soon. Definitely someone that would've been a Husker back in the Osborne/Solich era with the emphasis on the fullback.
  25. I think Iowa has the potential to be something. Location and culture is the key. Sadly with OU we are likely 3rd on their list behind Texas and Okie State. They frankly don't miss us like we miss them. In all honesty the rivalry was one of respect, not hate. With Wisconsin the problem is they have Minnesota they dearly hate. I have family up there and they just deem us a big game and nothing more. No different than facing Michigan, Penn State or Ohio State. They have more hate currently for Michigan State when it comes to a rivalry. Iowa is the school the B1G sees as the best fit fighting. Time will tell if our fanbase feels the same.
