  1. the jucos will all play you rarely see jucos redshirt, hart and carter could both play this year since there is no one returning thats proven as a pass catcher, anyone projected to be a wide receiver or corner will probably redshirt since there is a lot of depth at those positions, both D-tackles could play atleast one will, not sure about Gerry he looks the part but the transition from south dakota highschool football to college must be a huge transition and i think i remember reading something about stanton where he said he was gonna redshirt

Could have been a solid role player. IMO not athletic enough at his size to be an impact player.

I think they were working on someone hard and it didn't pan out. Why else would he have been so cryptic in the tweet?

  6. As opposed to getting loose in our secondary in Pasedena? meh, just sayin, better make it Clemson. SEC doesnt go to pasedena, i think they go to the sugar bowl The national championship is in Pasadena. duh my bad
  7. @Coach_TJoseph @CoachJP_NU #stealth That's from Rich Fisher. A huge explosion would not be a 2 star Veii. i hope you're right this would be big

  9. is there any proof besides a tweet that doesnt indicate who its about? TJ and JP seem pumped up after every commit the last few weeks
  10. its sad when there is more conference pride than team pride
  11. It's not about us, it's about what we have to try to recruit against. Of course we aren't going to be strongly considered by any of these SEC kids when they have escalades, boats and ho's, and $100 bills being thrown at them. would Bo want these kind of kids in the first place? he always talks about recruiting the right kind of kids with high character, if a kid is willing to take bribes to loose at Mississippi then they are probably someone Bo wouldnt want If Bo is not going to recruit kids that want hot girls around them...well...its going to not be good i was refering to cash and cars that kind of stuff

  13. why does this matter were even being strongly considered by any of their commits?
  14. how dare our coaches try and steal someone elses commit or is ok when we do it but in all seriousness if he's the real deal sign him up nebraska cant get enough of these southern kids
  15. Nebraska should invade Kentucky and bring Vince Marrow to justice (say with George W Bush voice)
  16. i wish braylon heard the best but please dont transfer to Kentucky HuskerBoard would explode

  17. dont tell me that Bo lie to me and make it seem like you know what the hell is going on
  18. Not really. Heard is an extremely talented back and he very well could have passed Abdullah. He never got enough carries and I don't blame him one bit for wanting to go be a feature back somewhere else. true but he cant pass him now is what i was saying
  19. well i guess all the people that predicted he would pass abdullah look dumb now
  20. good luck to him and i hope we dont loose any more recruits
  21. Nailed just about everything in this post, especially the bolded sentences. After a few days of irrational hysteria at the thought of getting a recruit stolen by Kentucky, I have come back to the realm of reason, realizing that he probably had his own personal reasons for picking them besides prestige. Good luck to the kid, by all accounts he sounded like a high-character, level-headed individual who would have been a positive representative of the program both on and off the field. Won't be surprised if he has an outstanding career at UK. I think we may trump up 'tradition' more than it may be worth ( I know that sounds like blasphemy). Extending the 'tradition' sales-pitch to recruits, like blessed2bahusker alluded to, Old glory stories make us feel warm and cozy inside as fans but it has decreases in impact as a selling point with each year we don't sustain that level, or very near that level, of winning, making the winning of championships a 'tradition'. Our traditions of prior success is long-gone and we had to start back up from scratch after 2007 to hopefully try to get near that level (it was a ridiculous standard of winning that will likely never be replicated again in CFB and unrealistic to expect). As the years go on recruits will be less and less familiar with our prior status unless they catch the occasional reference on ESPN. My perception is that the tradition and the pageantry that elicits the fuzzy feel-good sentiments for fanbases of CFB powerhouses, is becoming less and less of a selling point for top recruits anyway these days. In this hyper-commecialization era, it seems finding the school which gives you the best chance to make yourself into a bona fide marketable, superstar athlete to eventually land in the NFL has increasingly become one of the biggest priorities for many of the nation's top recruits. I could be completely wrong though, I'm not the one visiting recruits in their living room. i agree with what you said about tradition if we dont start winning like we used to these stories of tradition we tell recruits will have happened before they were born kids from this recruiting class were like 3 or 4 the last time NU won a national title it got to be hard to try and sell how good the team was 15 years ago to try and get a kid to play for you today
  22. how upset would some of you be if we hired a assistant coach from a school that was better than nebraska currently is like maybe alabama and he got a couple of the recruits to switch to nebraska? would you call him a snake and say that he is a terrible person or would you be making who can we steal posts and be excited to get a 4 star commit

      The King

A lot of times when a positional ccoaching change happens, out of courtesy for the person "vouching" for them to get the job, they tell recruits that I recruited you to the school, which is still fantastic, even without me. It's a professional courtesy. Just like Terry Joseph didn't rob Tenn of their recruits.

Getting mad at Marrow and mad at the kid is so hilariously bad. Half of that recruiting thread is cringe-worthy and some of you should be ashamed of yourselves
