  1. Yes. Anyone that says otherwise...well...I guess is entitled to their opinion.
  2. The OP is hilarious. How is "option D" equal to "Door #3"? Wouldn't that be "Door #4" as you had three options that preceded it? In reality, these questions need no answers as @Cdog923 provided the best and really only reaction possible...
  3. Exactly. When they are in the middle of their average, mediocre seasons, Iowa does not enter my mind until game week. Now that they are 5-1 and ranked and Nebraska is winless, why do you as an Iowan fan care to even make fun? It's like the little brother that finally won a game and will never let you forget.
  4. Keep your posts focused on the topic, not the poster.
  5. Imo, there are five issues that have lead to lots of yards with less points than expected: 1. Offensive penalties: This is a no brainer that penalties kill drives. 2. Weak 3rd and short conversion: I don't know the exact number of 3rd & 1 or 3rd & 2 that Nebraska has failed to convert, but it's a lot. 3-5. Net punting resulting from ST penalities, poor punting average, and poor punt coverage. These combined lead to long fields for Nebraska (I think the average is starting somewhere around the 20-25 yard line) which means always having to run the length of the field to score. Constant long drives is not realistic. Watching Nebraska's offense makes me want to call it a 'boom-or-bust' offense. Partially because you see them get a big run or pass, and if it's not a house call, the drive sputters. This results in yardage without points. However, I think a lot of the other factors I listed have such a big impact, I hesitate to call it a true 'boom-or-bust' offense.
  6. All I know is Eckrich Smoked Sausage is a crowd pleaser.
  7. What is going on here? 21 is really struggling to play defense.
  8. I was looking at when Martinez motions to move out of the pocket and when #43 started to break toward Ozigbo. It seems almost at the same time. #43 then hits Ozigbo while Martinez is still in the pocket (definitely still between the hashes) and motioning to throw to Spielman. I am surprised its not PI or some sort of illegal contact.
  9. To me, Frost was saying that they need better players but are going to go with guys that are dependable and do the right things. He uses Weinmaster as an example of a guy they think they can depend on but may not be an elite talent. Full context:
  10. How is this not PI on #43 Wisconsin?
  11. He is 6’3”, so maybe undersized for a tackle. Center requires a particular amount of flexibility and football acumen. I wonder how cerebral he is about the game (true question not an accusation)?
  12. So, you don’t really have a criticism of the staff in this case but rather are playing devil’s advocate, or more aptly asking others to play devil’s advocate, for a “fair and balanced” approach? I would argue that not every issue needs to have two sides. It seems there is a clear consensus in this case. You will probably need to provide an actual counterpoint argument, rather than asking for others to do so.
  13. Tell us more stories about the old days, Grandpa StPaul. Really though. Fair point. Criticism of players needs to be devoid of character assassination. It can be challenging when you are criticizing team culture.
  14. Why would you assume they didn’t?
  15. It seems pretty one-sided. No idea how the staff takes any blame.
  16. Dude. This is a really bad non-answer. I am honestly curious what evidence is there that puts blame on this staff for Bell's departure. Is there anything?
  17. Yeah, you can definitely support Frost and want him to be successful, but still point out issues. A 0-4 team has some issues to work out, for sure. My only gripe in your approach to this topic @StPaulHusker is that you say it may not be the player's lack of buy-in, effort, ability, decision-making, etc that led to his departure but rather it is the fault of the staff. However, after 6 pages of discussion (so far), you have not provided an argument that outlines how it is the fault/responsibility of the staff that a player chose to leave. In this case, your argument thus far is simply "blame the coaches".
  18. What responsibilities do the coaching staff have when a player chooses to leave? Draw the narrative.
  19. DB has said multiple times on his show that he wanted to quit the team, but his dad said if you leave Lincoln, don’t come home. I agree with his sentiment but not sure he is being honest about his own situation. I know he visits the board and has an account (though inactive). Maybe he could clarify his experience.
  20. Are you indifferent or just different? I think this sentiment is rather universal for fans. We are Husker fans, not Tyjon Lindsay or Player X fans. If you are a Husker, we are for you; if not, who cares?
  21. This is from the University: Here is a lot more information from the university about how to accommodate disabled patrons at football games. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=100&ATCLID=209623960
  22. Two: #1 JUCO RB and #6 TE (according to 247)
  23. Beyond the PF calls against Dismuke and the Davis twins, which of the three are playing to a standard that allows them to stay in their role and which fall short? All three? I would argue that one mistake will not get you benched with SF (i.e., no fear of failure), but an inability to execute routinely during practice and in game will be the litmus.
  24. Predictable because it is obvious to coaches and fans alike or that you think coaches are failing to see the real problems in the two-deep? How would you change the depth chart?
