  1. Erwin Swiney? What are you smokin'? Swiney was about the worst defender we ever put on the field. He could not defend his grandmother's oversized bloomers hanging on the wash line. Yeah the guy finished his career at Nebraska 3rd on the all time charts in pass break ups with 38. And played in the National Championship game against Tennessee . Clearly, he was our worst ever. Funny though how you mentioned smokin, as he and another dude got busted with a bunch of weed...lol
  2. Do you think we could beat anyone of the top 25 teams that have one lost ? NOT Yeah, I think we could beat Wisconsin
  3. So, any body have any guess. Updates and news were very slow in the recruiting section this week. Probably because of the bad loss and the drama, but we need some new commits bad. After looking over the very few who are high on us as of now, I would say Safety Josh Kalu could be next. Others, Ricky Walker DT RB Madre London QB Quinton Flowers, really like this guy. Has it factor, and we don't know about the future of Darlington. We must get a QB in this class. Armstrong and Stanton, and nothing but walkons behind them then all I can find is a couple of flip possibilitys. Erik Brown WR and Washington commit who visited ,and Marvin Saunders FSU commit. Doubt either switch Who am I missing? and how many are we trying to sign this year. Oh, of course there is super stud Ath Kalen Ballage. We have a good track record of getting Colorado kids, and this kid would be a huge get. What are our chances with him?
  4. I would take D'Vonta Derricott for sure. We offered him. Big and fast LB 6'1 230 runs a 4.3, highly doubt that time is accurate , but the kid is fast for sure. Yes, of course he is a juco out of Garder City Kansas CC
  5. He is going to be an excellent NFL cornerback for sure.
  6. We have always recruited all over the country and will continue to do so. We are hitting California really well over the last few years and need to continue to do so. We will always get a couple from Texas, but we cant focus only on that state. Florida has more division I talent than any state in the country, and for sure the fastest kids anywhere. There is a high school kid down there right now running a 9.9 100 meter. We need to hit Cali, Texas, Florida and Ohio hard every year. And get all the talent in a 500 mile radius ..Nebraska,Missouri and Kansas. I wish we could get some east coast kids like we did in the past with Rozier and the Peter bro's
  7. Me too. I felt the same way about that missed sack. I bitched about it for about 10 minutes straight, and just had a gut feeling that we were doomed after that.
  8. In late on the drama. I was thinking about staff changes this week for sure, but was still in full support for Bo. Now I'm even more in support of him, and I think his players are going to play their hearts out , as they love the man, for the rest of the season. We will see T-Mart really step it up as Bo is a father figure to him. We win 10 again, and this scum who released this will not succeed in his attempt to get Bo fired. GBR
  9. Agreed . This was it for me. He better at least fire JP, but he wont, so its his own damn fault for being loyal to his little buddy grad assistant
  10. Im disgusted. and i have to agree finally. we get out coached by everyone. I just dont think Bo will fire anyone. Remember, he wouldnt trade his staff for anyone in the country.. lmao. His loyalty will be his undoing
  11. I can't help but wonder if he saw all the young talent on the DL and thought to himself that he would likely have to wait a long time to get on the field. I think it is going to be difficult to recruit for the front 7 this year for that reason. Not that we can't find kids who don't care about that but they are going to have to be the right kind of kids to commit into that kind of situation. Yeah, but look at Wisconsin's defense. They are shutting out everyone they play right now. They might have a better D than MSU. There has to be plenty of talent there, and Gary Anderson is a hell of a coach. It may not be easy to get on the field there early either
  12. Well he gave it a 10 and said he was going to talk to his family and coaches about it, I assume he means Nebraska, and might commit before season is over, so I would say it speaks very well of his visit. Why not take some more free visits and do a little traveling . I say this kid is ours for sure
  13. No then maybe UW could lure away you're favorite coach Bo Pelini away from the Huskers if Sark goes back to USC. We know how much you love old BO
  14. WE are still leading the country with the stat of having 2 turnovers or more in 14 straight games
  15. Yes, I was very impressed. He can juke and move . I cant wait to see him bust a 70 yarder and see just how fast he really is
  16. Giving up the big play has to stop. Over half of the 600 yards they had came on 19 plays. They had like 74 total plays.
  17. I cant believe there are 3 players in the state of Kansas rated higher than Peyton.
  18. Stud..I pray that he chooses to play college football and baseball for us
  19. not a drinker anymore my partying card got revoked. I used to have a tradition for many years of pulling bong hits right before kick off. That card has been revoked as well now. So I get high just from the adrenaline of the game now, which is a pretty damn strong rush in its self. Sometimes I wish I had a few zannys in some games however. Everyone else enjoy you'er adult beverages...GBR
  20. not an unreasonable position to take. I place him just below... but placing him at that level is as well quite reasonable. TMart is a very, very good college QB. His teams have been 2nd/3rd tier... but he has been a performer. In answer to your query as to how Crouch or Gill or Frazier would have fared were they on the NU teams of the past few years --- they would have been very good... but probably could not have significantly elevated the team beyond what TMart did. They would likely look a lot like TMart. One man cannot do it all. Agree with all of this. But some people think that Tommie had magic fairy dust in his pocket, sprinkled it on his teammates, and willed them to win. Anyhow, I think I'm somewhat familiar with tfree32. It wasnt fairy dust, but it was something. Mainly athletic skill, but more important, an attitude that Mike Grant did not have when Tommie took over in '92. A play that stands out was one of my favorite all time beat down games I attented, was against Colorado. He keep the ball and just plowed over their all american senior Deon Figures and stood up and just gave him that stare, like thats right not even you can stop me. So I do think he willed them to win, at least made everyone around him better. What was the final score of that game against a very highly ranked Colorado team again, oh yeah 52-7
  21. This kid is a monster ...I cant believe he can squat 700 pounds and run a 4.8 at 280. This could be our next Suh type player for sure
