  1. As an ASU grad, if you have been there and think its a crappy school you had some serious blinders on Exactly. I'm not sure how anyone that has spent any time on campus can call ASU a crappy school.
  2. I missed the game. Do any of you happen to know if it is being replayed?
  3. That's awesome! I am so impressed with everything I hear about Darlington.
  4. Lots of talk about Mora and Gruden on the Dan Patrick show this morning. I thought Gruden had said that he does not want to get back into coaching and that he loves his Monday night gig, but his name keeps coming up. I think Mora is a great coach, but is that the splash that Texas was looking for?
  5. Crap, that's right. Totally spaced on those; thanks!
  6. Stupid question, but was Taylor at the game? The reason I ask is because they were sure to do a nice, long interview with Murray to discuss his injuries and NFL future (sounds like a pretty good kid, by the way), and only mentioned Taylor's injury late in the 3rd or early in the 4th, with no interview of him at all, unless I missed it. That had me pretty pissed off; it was blatant favoritism. Even if Taylor wasn't there, he deserved more recognition than the tiny bit they gave him.
  7. I was happy with the defensive performance yesterday, especially against the running game. I had one question about our offensive play calling though. Can someone explain to me why TA didn't, at least once (unless I missed it), actually hand the ball off to the WR on the fake Jet Sweep plays? I understand that it's a decoy for the read option, but it seemed like it could have really worked towards the end of the game, because the Georgia defense wasn't paying any attention to the motion man. Just a thought. Overall, great to get a Husker bowl win!
  8. While Bo brings a lot of that on himself, you're mostly upset about the way the various channels choose to portray him with this. He is not entirely drama-filled, that's a story line they're pushing. ESPN/ABC have a vested interest in portraying Bo this way, and they do, frequently. It's not inaccurate, it's just not the whole picture. Could not agree with you more. My wife was watching the game with me (she's trying to become a Husker fan to support my team, which I appreciate) when they showed Bo "yelling" at one of the players. Her take on it was that it's what most coaches do; we've seen that at the high school level personally. She actually asked me why they don't talk more about the good things that Bo does, specifically mentioning Jack in the Spring game. I told her about Bo's offer to keep Darlington on scholarship even if he never plays a down for the Huskers, and she was really touched by that. That's the type of stuff that the casual fan does not know about and the media could run with, yet they still portray him as a guy with a temper first, coach second. Granted, he's brought it on himself, but there are two sides to the coin. Just look at how much his players support him; that speaks for itself.
  9. Agreed. I think he has proven himself to be a very good coach and could certainly help in recruiting. If we want to keep Nebraska connections, why let a proven one go?
  10. This would be a huge get for the Huskers. Sabino is a powerhouse in AZ, and getting him away from the UofA to Nebraska would be a steal. I highly doubt ASU has much of a chance; they have a tough time getting kids from Tucson.
  11. Graham did an interview with the media again yesterday and confirmed that he's not going anywhere. That of course could always change, but I don't think he's a big enough name for Texass.
  12. Exactly, they are considering him to be a hard commit at this point, which I believe only happened recently, therefore the breaking news update.
  13. According to the main AZ newspaper, Ballage has committed to ASU. They are now at 25 commits. http://www.azcentral.com/insiders/douglashaller/2013/12/17/asu-keeps-rolling-adds-two-more-commitments/
  14. The Devils are on fire! I'm bummed for the Huskers but proud of my Devils! Coach Graham has really got something special building here.
  15. You watch your dirty mouf! ASU an Amish school; that freaks me out. ASU...good times, good times...(walks down memory lane).
  16. Wow, how did I miss the news about Eubanks getting his release by ASU? This might have a serious impact here. Taylor Kelly will be coming back for his last season, but I could see the opportunity to play QB coming back at ASU for Gerhart. ASU's class is looking very strong, but I'd love to seem him come to the Huskers. As for Graham, there's no way that he goes to Texass. Former AD agreed not to take any ASU employees with him to his new gig with Texass. And Graham is not a big enough name yet for that hire.
  17. ASU has a fairly solid QB set up for the next few years. I thought he was going to be part of it, but they definitely need athletes in the secondary, that's for sure. Moving him to S makes sense if he's cool with it.
  18. Don't forget, at Clemson you get to rub a rock after cruising around the stadium in a bus before each home game. All joking aside, it is a pretty awesome ritual and a great football environment.
  19. ASU would not be happy losing him, that's for sure. They are sold on this kid at QB, and they have a prestigious baseball program to offer as well. I'll be curious to see how this one shakes out.
  20. Wow, so it's not just Husker fans drinking the Frosty Kool Aid?
