Watching the game last night, it felt to me that the Spartans stole McNeese St.'s defensive game plan, executed it just as well, and because MSU has better talent than McNeese, it worked all the better. So here is my question. The McNeese game showed how to stop our offense. It was bound to be imitated at some point. Don't you think as a coach, you'd think, "wow, they really stopped us, lets devise a plan to counter that defensive plan should it show it's ugly head again?" They should have had an offensive plan to counter it in their back pocket regardless. The quotes from the players showed that not only did the players not know what and how to do, but Beck, had no clue at all. No plan B. He expected to show up, work the run game and go from there. Lots of flack on the O-line, but when the defense was loading the box and blitzing every down, there's only so much they can do. Where was the middle screen, why can't Tommy read through progressions, why does Tommy not read the defensive end on the zone read plays? Why wasn't there a plan in place to counter their over aggressiveness. We left so much out there. It felt just like last year only our offense went inept instead of turnover crazy. We are more than capable talent-wise of beating them. Why the heck can't our OC adjust?

Imani Cross is faster than many have ever given him credit for. He runs very upright when he gets to the second level leaving him open to big hits and getting stripped.

Well we've held them to their lowest point total for the year and scored the most on them this year... not too shabby

Can we call the game now so our players quit getting hurt the week before Michigan State??? 11:30 at night with the game well in hand is a bad time for injuries, focus is dying, fatigue is setting in, people aren't going full speed. Get the starters out!

I agree with whoever said it before. Why do our linemen always get ticky tacky holding calls, but Gregory, McMullen, and Valentine get stopped from getting in the backfield and there is NEVER a hold on the opposing team.

The starting offense has lost all focus with the exception of Imani. They should be benched, this game is decided. Give the second string time. The starters will get injured not going full speed.

What we saw was a direct reflection of all the injuries and personnel losses we've had, players we were playing without today. Let's list them all here shall we? On Defense 5/11 would be starters Avery Moss Randy Gregory Michael Rose-Ivey Charles Jackson LeRoy Alexander David Santos Marcus Newby On Offense 3 starters 2 expected major contributors Jamal Turner Kenny Bell Brandon Reily Sam Burtch Adam Taylor Cethan Carter On Special Teams Mauro Bondi And that is probably not all. Others have to step up and learn. This was a learning experience. Hopefully they'll take it as a lesson and grow. Our we good enough that our second string is head and shoulders better than one of the best teams FCS schools, though we'd all like to think so, probably not.

Knapplc, I agree with you here. He should show that warm and cuddly side of himself more. Where I disagree is that I very much think he has. Team Jack, all the youtube pranks we see behind the scenes, and the many, many interviews he's done where he seems relaxed and accepting, even joked! He's dropped his tough guy facade many times in front of fans. Where I see the problem is, is after every single loss, no matter who the loss comes to, no matter the injury status of key players, no matter any other contributing factor within the loss. Half of our fanbase turn into rabid dogs tearing into Bo and his players performances, and even worse with PERSONAL ATTACKS. How many times do you let your guard down to people like that? It's like being married to the most bi-polar B**ch in the world. Win and your loved (well sorta, some still find reasons to hate after a win) Lose and you, your players, your staff, and all the good you've done for the program is dog crap. You married her because you enjoyed her company, she was supportive, fun, and exciting. Little did you know she married you because she expected you to hit the lottery every year, turn into George Clooney, and answer her every wants and needs without question. Any disappointment and you're supposed to eat sh*t with a smile, any response to the shaft you're getting only digs a deeper hole. Eventually you just shut yourself off. If fans want warm and cuddly Bo, stay Suzie homemaker and quit going Loraina Bobbit. Might just make a difference.
