  1. I'll just put it this way, if we are commonly worried about how we will fare against Minnesota, we have much larger problems.
  2. Caveman wouldn't do us wrong, I just know it. He'll be there sacking QB's Aug 31.
  3. I hate Iowa football and every fan associated with it, so yes, it's a rival to me.. I want to beat them by 80 every year starting this year.
  4. Then the men can play football if they want a scholarship, as that is where the most scholarships are available for them.
  5. My thought is that its O'Connor. Moos seems to love the Nebraska ties and he was on the short list. The only thing I can't rectify is why O'Connor would be interested in coming here, unless he would just like something new, we throw more money at him, and/or he has any desire to get back to the midwest. He's young enough that the move makes a bit of sense. It's a long shot and I am not sure I would do it if I'm O'Connor, but if there is any truth to the "trifecta of home run hires," rumors, this one seems to fit.
  6. I wonder if it may go hand and hand with the traveling hat idea. It may be more just to get the brand out there. Get kids mentioning Nebraska in their high schools. Maybe they have no interest, maybe they aren't going to come here. But maybe that up and coming sophomore with distant ties that is coming into his own is more apt to listen next year when Nebraska comes calling? And maybe not, maybe we are just shotgunning offers and praying, but it seems this staff definitely has high valued "targets" that they spend a lot of time an resources on, so I do feel there are various tiers of value placed on the offers.
  7. I am not sure, at least for me, if I am less critical because I like the coach better or because I currently have far more faith in him to fill the vacancy while managing to overall roster with competence. I am certain that in the past, these would hurt because it was so difficult to get great athletes here in the first place, there was very little chance of development of sub par athletes once here, therefor losing a great athlete and hoping to fill that spot in the future with a sub par athlete that had really worked hard and developed beyond his initial potential was a losing proposition. I am no longer near as concerned w/ either our ability to get great athletes here nor our ability to develop the less than great ones into something better. In that regard, at this point I still have trust that, while losing a CJ Smith is not ideal and may still hurt, the chances of it not killing us are a lot greater under the current regime, which is probably also why I like them more.
  8. Most of us don't care even now. I understand the "pattern," argument and in 2019 we are all hypervigilant to not overlook early signs of issues and make excuses, I understand that as well. Like it or not, pot is part of many cultures in the US, elite athletic culture included. Like it or not, one of the reasons many coaches don't like coaching at the NCAA level is because they are expected to help "raise" these boys. Our coaches know and gladly accept the responsibility of turning these young men into grown a$$ men while they are here. This is part of it. This is kids not making the best decisions in all situations. This is juvenile lapse in judgement. Scott will talk with him, remind him that this is why it is, "dont smoke at all," instead of, "don't smoke most of the time," assign some sort of punishment and after that it's up to Mo. The porn case will be its own separate issue, if something comes from that Scott will have to come up with his own punishment for that. As far as being a UNL student goes, this minor pot deal is really Mo's first strike. You don't get dismissed for a first strike.
  9. Miles was gone last August. The fact that anybody thinks that the way this season has gone would be enough to force an AD's hand to reconsider that baffles the mind. There is literally no way that it could feasibly go from here that would set in motion any deviation from the plan laid forth the minute the 1 year extension was given. We will lose to Wisconsin today and, hopefully at that point those that are wondering 'if we win an NCAA title would it save Miles?" can finally rest easy knowing that miracle isn't riding in on a white horse this season.
  10. I think my favorite part is that the entire city of Beatrice knows that Cam hates hollandaise, it’s common knowledge to real fans.
  11. Not similar at all. Mo didn't distribute anything. Either way though, if the punishment is to be a % of his income, as a student athlete....
  12. Somebody better tell OTHusker so he can redirect that sweet sweet Beatrice rage.
  13. Pretty sure they will just play in the cold. Mystery solved.
  14. Sorry. No idea what is going in there. I posted at 7:30 this morning on the way out the door and didn’t come back online for over 6 hours so can’t for the life of me figure out the repeat post. I’m guessing the internet thought it was such an incredible thought it had to run it twice.
  15. Serious question. If this was just a picture of the act, would people be as upset about it? I feel like because it was a video it is being judged more harshly. Like, if his friend had sent him a picture of his ex giving a blowie and he had downloaded it to save to his phone and then, when she contacts him 2 years later remembers he has this picture saved in his cloud, grabs it and fires it back at her. Maybe it’s the same. But it feels like the video aspect of this is causing a few more people to pick up a few more stones?
  16. Meh. Tim has always been a different interview than Bo. In fact, this entire season he’s been praised for not shying away from media and being honest and forthcoming about everything from his team, his failures, and his job security. That he continues to be blunt doesn’t surprise me and I’d be hard pressed to take him to task for transparency at this point.

  18. What are you talking about? This isn’t Sweden after all :p
  19. Good to know that having pause about believing this new assault allegation automatically means I probably look at child porn pics. I’ll try to do better to model my character after you.
  20. I never said a blow job couldn’t be assault and I’ve been looking at the whole picture the entire time, and the many reasons to doubt her claim are so substantial that I am confident saying that labeling this as an assault is disingenuous.
