  1. Hey I'm all for making a bowl game at 5-7 for the extra practice. However, I don't think that is something I'd openly brag about. More practice the better...however I hope it's only something me and u realize instead of bob and joe from South Carolina knows what's going on
  2. Unfortunately, I think this is Tommy's job no matter what. If anything our coaches are very "vanilla," they do not like to rock the boat. As much as I'd like to see Tommy pushed for the starting spot (don't get me wrong...he's a crazy good competitor just don't think he has the mechanics to be a good QB) it won't happen next year with POB only being a freshman. We have Tommy for this year and next. However, after that, Riley's job rides on how well POB can come in and execute as our next QB
  3. Poor guy..he was a good coach. Sad to see him go. A very down-to-earth kind of guy. Really anyone could shoot the bull with him
  4. Mike Riley isn't going to get fired...he's got atleast 2-3 yeara.
  5. If you think we "committed" to the run, I think that says a lot about your own insight. I mean I've lurked for awhile and have always found you to be a straight shooter True but call "a spade a spade." To act like we committed to the run is being deceitful at best.
  6. I'd appreciate it if you could put that into one coherent statement. Otherwise, no one knows what you are saying.

TA throwing the ball over 40 times is way too many. I've seen the OC call some very innovative passing plays. Passing plays I didn't even know existed. However, when he tried to run, they are very basic (exception QB run plays have been somewhat innovative when they are run). When you run very basic run plays where the RB is running straight into the lineman's behind then what do expect. It's almost like they aren't even trying to run the ball effectively. Idk if you want to blame Newby or the OC but it is sad to see.
  8. Want to run back to the Big 12 because you can't handle it in the Big Ten West...come on that makes it look like we are a bunch of sissies and you know that is what everyone one will say....and they are right if we do that
  9. We'd have a nice run on first or second down then we'd run straight ahead into the lineman. That play calling is about as innovative as coming out with an MP3 player after the IPod is released.
  10. TA deserves this season that way he can be responsible for whatever happens but next year IF there is young freshman that is just as good as him then throw him into the fire and use that year to rebuild
  11. This. Tommy will be the starter next year, so I'd stop thinking about the freshman or anyone else. Tommy knows the system the Best, and he's apparently the Best option we have. POB will have to learn the offense, the phrasing, build chemistry with the receivers and OLine. Tommy has all of that. The coaches will not upset that. Mark my words. This is coming from a fan who is silently wishing for Tommy to be benched, all while full-well knowing he won't be. Ya you are probably right but how stupid is that. We know what we are getting with Tommy. I mean I think he has heart and loves to play for NU...don't get me wrong. But, occasionally, you have to look towards the future and some guys get screwed in the process. I'd rather win 6 games with a freshman who could grow into a good QB than win 6-8 games with a senior QB who is flatlining.
  12. It's hard to run the ball on 3rd and 3
  13. He is completing 80% of his throws...nearly double TAs Comp%He's in high school. TA isn't a good thrower or decision maker but we don't know sh#t about how POB will be in college. See Johnny Stanton.Put your support in TA. You may lose your credibility. Watch out! What an idiotic post. I want the best QB to play. I don't care what his/her name is.Well you said it yourself that TA isn't s good thrower and you don't know what POB brings to the table...so you saying it's stupid to think that POB should start is beyond meBecause it is stupid to think he should start. We haven't seen him in a single play against college players, and the coaches won't until spring. If they make him the starter it will be based on actually seeing him play. Everyone here who is saying he should be the starter is basing it on HS stats. Lots of QBs have good HS stats and don't do well in college. Oh so you really don't know until he gets to college just like the rest of us...great insight

  16. Loss of 10 on the play...good decision QB
  17. Our tackling angles are absolutely terrible
  18. Yet after looking good in the first two weeks WILBON NEVER GETS ANOTHER FREAKING CHANCE Why give him a chance when you have a great back like nonexistent Newby
  19. Atleast our defense is pressuring them and forcing sacks and TFL. Their defense is doing nothing to us and we still can't churn out some yards
  20. Game of two piss poor offenses...tough to watch
  21. Collins showing the motor on that play!
