I couldn't agree more. Sports psychology is huge when it comes to success. I see it hurting them in this aspect. I also don't see Frost having a huge role in the game. Waters has the team and will be calling the shots.

Frost recruited him and then left for UCF. Wilson redshirted his first year and then sounds like not the best showing at Spring Ball leading to his transfer to JUCO. Never played for Frost. I've also heard the coaching change had something to do with Wilson. Might not fit the role Taggart wanted at OR. Wilson is gettng Div 1 offers. I trust Frost and his QB coach if they do offer him. The QB coach is a Jedi Master with QB's.

Its highly ranked offenses based on sorry strength of schedule by both schools. They play nobody and its the reason they'll never make it to the big dance. I'm sorry but its one of the most pathetic displays of defense by both schools. Roll out junk bombs tossed up. Zero DB's looking back for the ball. I love all the excitement and hype for Frost!!! I'm also excited, but this isn't big time Football.

Yeah only problem unlike the Big 12 the Big 10 actually plays defense and smash mouth FB.

It should anyone coming out of the Oregon Chip Kelly Coaching tree is suspect with Defense. I always thought Oregon's Defensive strategy was for their Offense to score more points. They never won a national title because their defense was awful. I see the same product with UCF.

I'm not impressed with their schedule. They play nobody!!! I like Frost and think its going to be a good hire, but lets not fool ourselves UCF isn't the Big Ten, SEC or PAC 12. I agree with the playoff committee. It's easy to look fast and explosive at that level of competition. Promise you they don't move the ball that way versus the Big Boys.!!!!

5-7 even with Frost. You can't fix that very weak O line and Defense in one year.

The Oregon media reported QB Terry Wilson had dropped down to 3rd/4th string on depth chart after spring ball. One can make the assumption thats why he left for JUCO.

I'm no fan of Mike Leach or any product he puts out. PAC 12 Football and its mentality doesn't work in the Big 10. I think as a fan base we'd have that figured out. The PAC 12 for the most part is a finese conference based on the vertical passing game. I believe Football games are won in the trenches. Run the ball and stop the run. Grinch is focused on speed same as Frost and Chinander. Speed kills, but its no replacement for big mean poweful Defensive and O lineman that come at you for 4 quarters. I'd be very happy with the product the Wisconsin Badgers put out yearly in the Big Ten. Yes WA State has improved and I'll give credit where its due. But WA State will never be the big dogs in the PAC 12.

Great stats line of scrimage both sides of the ball. The trenches have and always will be where football games are won and lost.

Wilson went to Juco because after redshirting a year at Oregon he dropped to like 3rd or 4th string at Oregon on the depth chart. And for the poster who implied I wanted Peterson you failed to see my point. I'm not delusional enough to think Peterson, Saban, Dabo etc etc would come to Nebraska. Nebraska is feared by nobody. The program is in dire need of repair. The repair must start with the offensive and defensive lines. I'll say it again I'm excited about Frost and I believe he is smart enough to adapt to Big ten play. No I don't think his Oregon south offense will work in the Big Ten. I'll also say he makes some very questionsble play calls in short yardage and in the red zone. Some of his calls drove the Oregon fan base nuts when he was with the Ducks. But he is a Chip Kelly mentor. They live or die by misdirection and speed. I myself prefer a Wisconsin meat grinder type of approach.

I can't believe all the hype. 7 wins a lock? Are you all serious. Did you witness the complete softness we call Husker Football. Husker Football is in serious sad shape. We're feared by nobody. Until Frost our whoever we hire fixes the Offensive and Defensive line play expect more losing seasons. Husker Football died when the Offensive line pipe line stopped. The O line is what made Big Red Football.

Bill Callahan is highly respected in the NFL and considered one of the best line coaches in the game. Think what you want, but the man knows Football.

It's only prolific because they play nobody. Sorry but I'll stick with my theory that Big Ten D coordinators will shut it down. Ohio State shut Oregon down each time they played them. Stanford also had their number. Ball control, time of possesion and controlling the line of scrimage wins games. It also shuts that Frost offense down. Sorry I've watched numerous UCF games. Its fun they score points, but lets face it. They're playing Temple, UConn, Navy...... I watched the entire UCF Vs USF game. USF QB best player on the field. He hung like 600 yards of offense on Frost and UCF. Several 4 and 1 calls and UCF throws a pass or shuttle pass for no conversion. Sorry that type of play calling drives me nuts. Its my opinion as well that it won't fly in the Big Ten. Oh and his D coordinator is very Oregon like. Meaning no defense!!! Just hope your offense scores more points. I like Frost and think he's a winner, but I've never been sold on the Oregon model and I've watched most Oregon games the last 20 years. I'd take Washington Huskies Offense and coach any day over Frost and his scheme.

It's recruiting people. The kid is what 18? They hear what they want and people say what they want to hear. I wouldn't put much weight into it.

I'm sorry, I agree lots of offense in that conference. I've watched several of the games. Just not up to the level of play in most power 5 programs. Show me a big win over a big school and I'll be impressed. Cincy, SMU, Austin Peay, Navy, Maryland, etc etc.........Not exactly power house programs.

Do a little research on Kelly you might change your mind. The NE personality not a good fit in Nebraska. No secret about his relations with the media. Also lots of info about relations with players. If he would've been smart at Oregon and actually hired a Defensive Coordinator and stopped going for 2 points after every TD perhaps they would've won a National Title.

I like Frost as a hire. I find the hype over UCF laughable. They play nobody that tough. Several teams in top 20 that would destroy UCF. Frost knows that UCF will never play with the big boys. Just going to come down to what he wants do. Has a very young wife so I'm sure his concern for her and a new baby will also be a big part of the process. I wouldn't expect the Defense to improve that much. Chad Morris is a great coach and he knows how to beat that up tempo offense and almost did it. UCF defensive line smoked and tired. Kept the UCF offense off the field most of the second half. Good coaches know how to adjust and beat that offense. I'll say it again until Nebraska focuses on controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, no coach will bring back championship play until that is fixed.

Big boys to clarify I mean Ohio State and SEC. I'm not impressed with BCS wins over Wisconsin and Kansas St. Why do you think Kelly was a bust in the NFL. Because the speed and size of NFL players shut that offense down. Very simple why Bama wins. They line up and smash you both sides of the ball. They control the clock. They don't turn the ball over and they tackle. All basic smart well coached football. Chip Kelly and crew had a good run and its fun to watch. I'm just saying It was a thing of beauty to watch Ohio State wear them out with good Defense and size. I'm just saying don't think for a minute Big Ten Defensive Coordinators cant slow that offense down.
