  1. Nice! I keep hoping RK will put a 'donate' button on his site (in case I'm missing it). This guy does terrific work.
  2. So much this. The only counting stat I really pay attention to anymore is some type of net yards per pay/adjusted yards per play. Surprise surprise, UCF was near the top of the heap last year. https://thepowerrank.com/2017/10/18/3-surprising-college-football-teams-adjusted-yards-per-play/
  3. I initially voted for Gebbia but agree with the other posters that we see multiple starting QBs this year.
  4. I thought I saw something about KETV having a pregame show on Facebook. EDIT, yup here you go. http://www.ketv.com/article/everything-you-need-to-know-for-the-nebraska-spring-game/19842372 Pregame Facebook Live Join Andy Kendeigh and Sean Callahan at 9 a.m. for a live chat on the KETV Husker Football Updates Facebook page. They'll tackle your questions for around 30 minutes.
  5. Tie between Track, wrestling or lacrosse. I think you develop a special kind of mental toughness in individual sports that you don't necessarily get with team ones. I can only speak for wrestling but you need some serious stones to go out there and physically dominate another human being. As for lacrosse, you need to be pretty athletic and kinda crazy to let people whack you with sticks and that ball is no joke!
  6. I hadn't seen Idiocracy until about a year ago. Pretty funny stuff.
  7. To me the show really hasn't missed a beat because a Jin Ying storyline emerged that has been absolutely hilarious. Naturally, the show kinda rises and falls with Richard and his neurotic behavior can make it awkward to watch at times. That being said, while Erlich was great, getting Jared and Gilfoyle more screen time is never a bad thing.
  8. Jin Yang is rapidly becoming my favorite character on the show.
  9. This is accurate based on the stories I've read.
  10. That line by Mertes was a solid zinger. I don't know what to make of Mertes. He comes across like a completely self involved douchebag in both his reviews and when he's on the radio with Severe but I can't tell if that's how he actually is as a person or if he's deliberately trying to be a troll. Dickson is just plain unfunny most of the time.
  11. Husker Chalk Talk does great work and did a terrific breakdown of the Frost offense last year. Highly recommend. https://huskerchalktalk.com/
  12. Burrow is in a 4 horse race at Ohio State as well, it just so happens that 3 of the 4 horses are named Dwayne Haskins.
  13. The moral part of me wants no part of Pitino. The competitive part of me absolutely wants Pitino. He's such a good coach. Frankly, I'm not sure how Nebraska fans would react to such amazing in game coaching. I know @seaofred92's face would probably melt like in the Indiana Jones movies.
  14. The maddening thing when it came to Beck is the lack of consistency, he'd roll out games where Nebraska would be hanging 40+ and other times they would just lay an egg. The epitome of it for me was the last game he coached against USC in the Holiday Bowl. That USC team was loaded with playmakers and Nebraska rolled all over the field against them. I know BP did Beck zero favors when he was the HC but I couldn't help but think when I was watching that game was, "Good grief, where the heck has THIS offense been all year?"
  15. I'm pretty much ok with walk-ons being starters at your specialist spots (K/P/LS), and occasionally OL/DL/LB. You should never have a walk on at WR/QB/RB/Secondary unless something truly crazy happens/you absolutely whiff at recruiting. OL/DL can be tricky to predict and sometimes you get a guy that just makes huge strides and pushes his way into earning some playing time. For whatever reason Nebraska seems to get a pretty good LB out of a walk on every few years or so. Weber being the latest example.
  16. I'm more optimistic about someone like Burrow considering he was at Ohio State and has spent a couple years under Urban learning outstanding work/practice habits and playing at a place where a legitimate goal is CFP or bust. Plus, you might get a nostalgia bump with Burrow getting the chance to play where his family has a lot of history. Now, I fully admit that I'm a pretty big fan of Burrow and was ticked at Beck/Pelini when they didn't offer him. I would have been far less enthused about a guy like Dawkins.
  17. Ugh, unfortunate news to say the least. Johnson is a stud.
