Would +2 if possible. It looks like someone was finally able to use the blueprint that The National put down decades ago and make it work digitally. They have some serious firepower.

Agreed. No argument there.

I'm rolling! I was able to spell milquetoast right the first time without spell check. It must've been that extra cup of coffee!

Netflix & streaming video stuff worth watching

Glad to hear you enjoyed Luther. It was one of those 'blink and you miss it' shows that showed up on AMC a few years ago after being on BBC America. I was stoked when I stumbled upon it on Netflix a few months ago. Black Mirror is just a really interesting show, try to think of it terms of The Twilight Zone as each episode is completely stand alone of the other (although there are a few tie ins that you'll be able to pick up). As a friend did for me, under no circumstances should you start with the first episode of season 1.- 2,816 replies

I love a good Dirk bash as much as the next person. That being said, he's far and away the best columnist the OWH (and probably the state) has. His long form pieces and non Husker football related stuff is usually pretty excellent. His article about the Kansas basketball friends with one of them dying of cancer was gut wrenching, thought provoking and beautiful.

+1 Jason Peter should take some notes from what Carriker is doing, it would help him in a media sense as they're essentially saying the same thing. The only difference is Peter comes across like a stark raving madman and Carriker come across like a milquetoast former athlete with banal insight.

Heaven forbid these guys actually have to work at developing sources again versus having carte blanche to stroll about. The line about bi$%^ing about wanting more access to quell the message board rumors is hysterical to me. The media could have 100% access and we would still go nuts speculating on things. We're insane people and we all know it.

That would be good. This has to be a make or break year for Erstad.

Ahh come one, Greg Austin would totally say, "WE NEED A BIG TIME TURNPIKE FROM THE GARDEN STATE"

Man...it's going to suck once Spring football is done. Nebraska baseball appears to a vacuous black hole when it comes to offense and my beloved Mariners are essentially a slow pitch softball rotation after the top couple guys. It's going to be a long summer...might be time to dust off the golf clubs.

One of the great 'What Ifs' of Husker football history. At the same time, I do wonder if the fact that the offense was so average actually forced the defense to elevate their play that they otherwise might not have. Knowing that in big games you had virtually zero room for error and still delivering nearly every time was awesome. It's hard to describe how awesome that '09 defense was if you didn't see it live. The best thing I can come up with was it was like playing someone in Tecmo Bowl who guesses your play right every time on defense and you don't have Bo Jackson to bail you out.

I'm really hard pressed to see a scenario in which Copeland comes back. He's 23, has his degree and a history of back issues. Also, Gill is gone too which removes his probable best friend from the team. I just see Copeland going the pro ball route. JPJ, I'm just not sure. I hope he comes back.

Duval's conditioning starts Monday. UCF players share.

That was a really good listen. Duval is a really interesting guy. -
All really intriguing choices. Altman getting hired would be hysterical and would also jack the Nebraska/CU rivalry to new, exciting levels of hatred. I've espoused plenty on my love of Musselman. Martin is a junkyard dog and knows how to max his teams out. All 3 would be quantum leaps over Miles.

Netflix & streaming video stuff worth watching

Started up Black Mirror about a week ago. Holy geez...I feel like I need 30 minutes in between episodes to unpack what the heck I just saw. I skipped S1E1 because literally 5 people told me to not bother watching it. All the episodes have been pretty good so far that I've seen. I haven't gotten into S4 or most of S3 yet. So far White Bear and San Junipero are top top. Other stuff I've watched/re watched... Master of None..super clever series by Aziz Ansari that kinda focused around relationships, modern dating, etc. Also has a kick a$$ soundtrack. Luther...BBC crime drama from a few years ago that stars Idris Elba (Stringer Bell for those that love The Wire) Luther plays a police detective with psychological issues. Really good, pretty dark stuff. Non Netflix It's really hard to try and get into much else as I'm also watching McMafia (pretty good so far), Designated Survivor and American Greed. Plus HBO is going to be dropping the hammer again with Silicon Valley and the new Bill Hader show 'Barry' which looks awesome. Also...BILLIONS IS BACKKKKKK- 2,816 replies
