  1. Except for the part where ... you know ... it's not helping against fakes either. We even suck at punt safe. I'm not saying we are good at stopping fakes, just saying we stay in our base D to stop them. And so far, none have gone for a TD, so win?
  2. I been watching this the last few games. On 90% of the punt returns. We will sub out a safety and put DPE in. Mostly in our base defense. The last time we did the whole sale subs for a punt return, they ran the fake for the first down. It's not DPE, it's the scheme of preventing fakes and not even worrying about returning it.
  3. It depends if there's a muscle attachment at the portion of the bone that is fractured. That way you can isolate the muscle from moving to prevent a larger fracture. Thanks! I guess I was lucky on where I broke my foot.
  4. Looking at your list, I think Gus and Stoops are safe for another year. I'll add Mora to your list. UCLA is a trainwreck right now. He's had one foot out the door for years, I think the AD gives the nudge and goes in a new direction. You could potentially have these historically significant schools looking for coaches, plus all the other middle of the road P5 schools (Missouri, Tennessee, Kansas, Kansas State (Snyder is going to retire again soon) Georgia Tech and Virginia could all have openings as well) USC UCLA Notre Dame Texas LSU If those 5 are looking, Herman would be stupid to stay at Houston. And you might see someone like Frost only last at UCF for one year before moving up to a bigger level school. Should be a crazy off season starting here in a few weeks.
  5. And to add to your point, I believe Blake Barnett was the starter for game for 'Bama giving him more playing time. I'd do the research, but don't want to, I'd guess most of his stats were in that first game. And Louisville, who's absolutely curb stomped teams this year, and could have benched Jackson for the entire second half, their back up still only has 27 attempts. You're right, no one gets back ups in, it's not how it's done in today's college football.
  6. I've had multiple broken bones in my foot from soccer. I've never had the cast go above my knee for a broken bone in my foot. That seems peculiar.
  7. He wants to play TE or WR wherever he transfers. Not sure how good he is for WR/TE position. If he wants to play RB, he might was well stay at TN and remain the starter.
  8. Not good for Tenn when the starting RB says he wants to transfer mid-season. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/17935186/jalen-hurd-says-plans-transfer-tennessee-volunteers

    NBA 2016-17

Crazy stats last night to get the season started. The Brow is a star, he just needs to leave the Pelicans and find a bigger spotlight
  10. I really wish there was this much emphasis and bitching about the reason of the protest instead of all the focus and bitching about the how they are protesting. Lets start focusing on the issue. Maybe if we can have meaningful dialog (and more than just here) about why there's a protest, the offensive protests would go away. The complaining about how the protests happens is akin to complaining about what color bucket is being used to collect water from a leaking pipe and placing zero effort in actually fixing the leaking pipe.
  11. At about 2,300 likes in roughly 24 hours. I think he challenged Husker fan, I think he'll be pleasantly surprised.
  12. Just skimmed through this beginning part of this thread and it made me sad and disappointed. Too much emphasis on the how people are protesting, not enough about the why people are protesting. More of the same shoot the messenger, ignore the message mentality. As a white, middle aged male, I have no real idea of the systematic racism that MRI and every other minority has to deal with on a daily basis. I can only express empathy and hope that my kids, and all kids, will see a more harmonized future. It saddens me that as culture and a society, we appear to be no farther along in our attitudes and beliefs than we were in the 1960s, we have just done a better job of hiding our racism in the corners, under the rugs, in the outskirts of our society and not doing enough to eradicate the problem. As I pointed out, I am white middle aged male. I am the son of a military veteran, who is 100% disabled due to his service in combat during Vietnam. I respect our military forces, applaud them for the bravery and actions that majority of them portray. I also hear the concerns that CK, MRI and countless others before them have expressed. I see their actions and calls for change, I respect them and their desire to have peaceful dialog in hopes that we can change. Because of all that, while I'm in the stadium Saturday, I will stay seated(and if I had the space to actually kneel, I would) during the anthem as they are unable to do so. I will stand (or in this case sit/kneel) with them and their hope of bringing about change. I also encourage any others that understand and support what these protestors are fighting for join their cause, show them a sign of solidarity. Show them that all people, regardless of gender, orientation, race deserve to be treated equally in both theory and practice. This should no longer be just about a handful of high profile players starting to take a stand, this should be about a ground swelling of support for all people to say "no more". MRI deserves better, CK deserves better, I deserve better, my kids deserve better, your kids deserve better. This isn't about disrespecting the flag or our troops, this is about saying we are all brothers, we are all united, we are all deserving to be free and safe.
  13. Talk to me after the last 5 games of the season. If the Huskers can go 4-1 or 5-0, they've turned a corner. 3-2 they are close. Anything less, they still have a lot of work ahead of them. It'll be 3 tough games, and one (on paper) easy win. I think Wiscy and Iowa are game they should win as well. On the road against OSU, I can see a loss, but it needs to be competitive.
  14. I would think so, I've seen Fabian Washington tweet about Darnay. Not necessarily saying come to Nebraska, but saying how great he would be if he came to Nebraska
  15. He has 2, Ober at LS is his recruit as well. Considering the potential of Caleb and how well Jordan has done so far, I'd bump him to a B+/A-.
  16. Walking out with a few Oregon fans, both were very complimentary. Loved the experience from how they were treated, how engaged the fans were and both said, hands down this was the loudest game they've been too. They compared it favorably to some Seahawks games they have been to in recent years.
  17. I was in the North stadium. First time I've left a game with my ears ringing. This was insanely loud. It was such an amazing atmosphere. When they did the 'Let me Clear my Throat' after Tommy's TD, the place was as loud as I can ever remember it. Colorado 92, OU 01, OU 09, Miami last year. That moment topped them all.
  18. WTF??? NFL has a partnership with Nike right now. Yeezy cleats are Adidas. That'd be my guess The NFL hasn't reviewed and officially approved the Yeezy's yet. That's why they are getting the fine. Shoes need to be reviewed and approved before players can wear them on the field.
  19. I would imagine that the student section will be crazy packed and rocking. What time do they get in for the game? If I remember correctly, student tix are ga, so they usually are standing in line waiting to get in. Stadium opens 90 minutes before kick. Student section is usually filled up right away to get the good seats.
  20. Haha, I go with my Dad to the games, he's got 2 plastic knees and a plastic hip. 100% disabled from his military service. Good luck getting him to stand for anything more than the National Anthem. But he'll be there in red Saturday, sitting like an old curmudgeon.
  21. I learned that these coaches do not care about tradition or streaks. Just intentionally letting a time honored streak end today without even a second thought about it. Infuriates me that level of disrespect to our former players that buitd the streak and for these "coaches" to just flush it away makes me mad and disappointed. #Imisstargetingejections #Keepstreaksalive
  22. Florida St coming back to curb stomp Ole Miss. Just needed a half to figure out it was football season. Tennessee, clearly the most over rated, followed closely by LSU. If Miles could find himself a QB, even just a game manager, they'd be scary good. He just goes for the best Jammal Lord impersonator he can get. All he needs is a pure pocket passer. Forget trying to get that mobile QB. That team is so loaded with talent at every position, the QB just needs to not lose the game, and all he finds is the QB that can lose the game with poor decisions
  23. Is kick catch interference waived off if the punt bounces?
