  1. Alright thanks Mav! Let's go Huskers and lets pick up a win!

  4. I believe he wanted to be closer to home. Really wanted this kid and I have hope for Holloman that he is Riled up to commit to us later on. Best of luck to this young man, and I hope he has a great career. One other factor was playing time, Org. State receivers don't compare to the talent level of ours, so he can come in and play right away.
  5. Where are you hearing this from? Like 247 or rivals or are you hearing it from a friend. A combination of 247 and some other message boards. Awesome, I will check into that. Lets hope we land Isaiah so we can replace this stud senior class with new stud Freshman. Also, if we take five Freshman wideouts, we would most likely redshirt two of them and only take about two wrs in 2018.

  7. Houston sacked a mobile quarterback 11 times yesterday, our oline has only given up like 6 since conference play started. So give some credit to our oline cause they have not even given up 11 all year.

Ed Olliver their Freshman DT is going to be a first round pick. That dude was in the backfield all night.

L'Ville had their center picking up the outside rush. Either bad coaching or bad communicating.

Our OL has been decent in pass pro. Run blocking has been another story.

  8. Does Bruce Read even do press conferences? For fo fiddy a year, one would assume he has to stand there and tell the press what the heck he is doing.

  9. WR- Lewis, Calvin, Hodgins OT- Sarrell DT- Elliss CB- Cotton and Hafiz LB -Johnson Safety/RB- Greg Johnson- might play him at both and could be a two for one guy due to the 85 limit- So he would play rb if need be but will primarily play safety and we have to flip him One extra spot for 2018/ really good commit we can't pass up
  10. He is visiting Colorado tomorrow, probably will decide soon, but I have no clue when. If I had to guess it would be late November/early December. We are leading with 9 cbs from 247, the other two are to Okie lite. Would have to assume it is Nebraska, Colorado and Ok St that are in it. Iowa and Colorado both have 0 DT's in their classes, but I don't think that will be a factor in this one. I can't decide if we take this guy or Eliss, but heck I would not mind either of them or both of them. (Highly Unlikely)
  11. If we land Cotton and Calloway/ Hafiz we will be fine. I really like this kid, but unless he visits in December, we won't have a shot at him. Another player that says he will visit but hasn't set anything up yet is Tyler Shelvin. It looks like we will be moving on and taking Eliss or Daniels instead of him, which I am fine with.
  12. SILENT COMMIT! In reality, this would be awe to the some if that happened. Considering he's announcing on Saturday, it would not be surprising at all if he's already told the coaches from all his finalists what his selection is. But pretty unlikely he did a month or so ago when the "silent commit" rumor mill started churning. Yea jumped the gun there on the silent commit comment, probably should have inserted sarcasm lol. I can't disagree either with the silent commit statement, I meant it as a joke because of all the silent commit stuff floating around. We won't know who the silent commit was until they publicly say it of course. Lets hope we land both Hodgins and Cotton and finish the recruiting cycle strong!

  14. As long as we go tied into the fourth/ halftime, we will be good for both. Strength and conditioning is back baby!
  15. I rewatched the play and from what I had seen before, it seemed like Carter pushed him. But after watching it again, it was a friendly tap for the guy to get off his teammate. Lots of times players get away with doing this, and the refs should allow the players to dictate the outcome of a game. Even the announcer said the guy flopped and I missed that the first time watching the game. As I said before, he should have got a talking to or a warning, Minny got a sideline warning and what they did was worse than Carter's love tap. In the end of the game just don't touch anyone because the refs are so trigger happy its getting really out of hand with these soft penalties.
  16. Yea I thought it was a ticky tacky call as well, but in that situation why would you think about pushing someone. Even any light shove could be called for a penalty, so he needed to be smarter than that. I will say it kept Minny in the game and I think the ref should have gave him a talking to rather than throwing the flag in a late game situation. The dude straddle Newby to get up when he coulda just.got up to the side. He didn't need to do thay. I can see why Cethan wanted to push him off. He's protecting his guy.Doesn't this happen at the end of every play? Why was this one called I'll never know. It's time to bring feathers and let the boys have a good old fashioned tickle fight. The guy flopped. The ref never actually saw it though. Just a reactionary flag... I do not remember the guy flopping, but regardless Cethan should be more disciplined than to push a guy off of a teammate. Especially in a late game situation, they will call that, although I still agree they should have kept the flags in their pockets for that call. A talking to or a quick separation of the players would not be bad for the refs to do in that situation. It was a tough call and the refs made the call in a bang bang situation.
  17. Iowa's win last night was like our win vs Sparty last year, they played really well for this game. We should be able to beat them in a close game cause we own Q4!

Iowa also has a terrible offense.

  18. The ST lines up like that to make the opponents have to spend an hour or so preparing for it. If they do not prepare for it we will burn them like we did against fresno that one time. Darlington has some speed and I do not mind it, and elementary kids would not be able to do this that easily. So all in all I do not mind it at all, as long as we are forcing teams to prepare for it.

  20. I learned that Bruce Read continues to amaze us at how disorganized he is. How many years of coaching does he have again? Tommy will play through pain because he is a true hero out there. Defense showed they do not fold under pressure at the end. Cethan Carter's penalty almost cost us the game and Newby would have gotten us another td. Or we could have ran out the clock maybe without giving Minny another possession. Iowa will be a tough game and we will need all hands on deck for that game. OL and DL looked better today, but DL needs to get better pressure and Finish off the qb for a sack.
  21. I predict Ross Dzuris will get two sacks on Saturday and one of them will come from his awesome mustache.

^ An int would be big for him and the announcers would be giving him credit for his awesome mustache as well.

Didn't he get a hand on a pass a couple games ago?

  22. Nebraska- 31 Minnesota- 20 Run- 197 Pass(With Tommy) 205 Pass(Ryker) 183 (If I can only use one I will go with the 205)
  23. Just a note on this: Two of these scenarios would actually be 269-269 (if I can count). And wouldn't that be fun. It'd be a quick vote for Trump by the Republican congress Not that it matters but just curious: Would it be the current congress on the incoming one? Doesn't matter this time - and I'm assuming it would be the current congress - but it could make a difference sometime down the road. Current Congress I believe,
