  1. CAlL pLayS thAt W0rK!>??!! -drunk Nebraska fans tonight
  2. What the average fan doesn't realize with all of these changes in NIL, recruiting, money, etc. All of this was already happening. Now it is just legal and out in the open.
  3. Not to mention incoming BIG Washington and Oregon are 5th and 6th respectively. 4 out of the top 6. woof!
  4. His he talking specifically Utah? Because if he is talking overall NIL deals. Some of the highest paid athletes in the NIL are women. Albeit for reasons not necessarily because of the sport they compete in.
  5. To the bolded. Is it coaching though? (yes, I know there are drills and reinforcements, etc) We have seen it now over how many coaches starting with Solich in 99. I know everyone was kind of joking, but I am starting to wonder if it really does have something to do with the Adidas football, or something systemic within the program.
  6. Just because I was curious. The 1999 team fumbled a total of 49 times over the course of 12 games, or basically an average of 4 fumbles a game. The 2023 team has fumbled a total of 26 times over the course of 9 games, or less than 3 a game. So, while this year seems like a LOT of fumbles we aren't even close to that 99 team. Also, for those curious the 1999 team had a total of 5 interceptions. the 2023 team has had 7.
  7. The problem with this is. Teams aren’t keeping 8 in the box. They are dropping 7 and handling everything up front with 4. That is not a recipe for success.
  8. Was it 99 when we had 40+ fumbles on the season? We've fumbled a lot this year, but I'm not sure we are even close to that particular year. Dan Alexander and his micro tiny hands.
  9. It is going to be very interesting to me to see how these free flowing Pac 12 teams do when they have to start playing BIG 10 defenses week in and week out. Will they suffer the same way Nebraska did coming from the free flowing Big 12? No matter what anyone says this league is definitely "different" in how they play football, and the ones that jump on that sooner rather than later will flourish. (I tried to compare how Rutgers and Maryland have done since they came in, but they have never adjusted, nor where they really all that great to begin with)
  10. Seems interesting that there are no late November games they have to travel east for (last 3 weeks of the season). Oregon to Wisconsin will be interesting, as the only late season travel.
  11. and while it doesn't get talked about. He almost snapped the ball into the motion guy again. His timing is way off.
  12. Wow dude. Enjoy what we have. There are a lot of things going well for Nebraska right now.
  13. Jeff sims was in for four plays and one was a near catastrophe for snapping the ball into the motion guy (I mean really??). And another other was a catastrophe he will never see the field again this year. (I hope)
  14. pretty crazy to think that 2 out of our first 6 plays have had to be QB sneak because we start on our own 1 yard line.
  15. He also went into way more depth than that on how powerful that medium can be, and all of the cool stuff that comes out of it. I wouldn't be surprised that he doesn't continue to do it next year after they sit down in the off season and see the positive effects of it. The entire sound bite was pretty good. He also said that the infamous Sunday practice had way more content in it, but they cut quite a bit out. BUT we will probably see some of that once we get into the off season.
  16. He also mentioned in that interview that he believes the reason Nebraska has been on that side was because of roster sizes in the 70s and 80s. When you have 180 players suited up, you need the room. For the old timers, as Nebraska always been on the East side, or did they move over there at some point in the 50s, 60s, 70s?
  17. Doesn't the BIG historically have very good records in bowl games against those West, South, and East teams? I'm still of the belief that the BIG is and always will be a "3 yards and a cloud of dust" type conference. If you aren't the defenses in this league will eat you alive. (See Scott Frost, "they'll adjust to us") The only way you are pulling off anything other than that type offense consistently is if you have major league talent. ie Ohio State.
  18. Rhule has said this specifically in press conferences. How are we going to get a better passing attack if we don’t try to pass it. that’s why I said in another post. Some of you would gain a lot of valuable insight into actually listening to at least Rhules press conferences.
  19. I know you are being sarcastic but I’m curious why the offense is having so many injuries but the defense isn’t? (Seems like a “normal” injury year) because of that I rule out S&C. If it was SC then it should be hitting both sides of the ball. Right?
  20. Ok 2nd time they’ve had a winning record in 1,455 days.
  21. So is Iowa considered a “non-OG” team since they benefited from a terrible call at a crucial moment today? or maybe the refs in these days just aren’t that good
  22. Did the drop snap happen before or after the center went out with an injury?
  23. I’ve learned that Nebraska can win 4 out of the last 5 games. Which they haven’t done since????? and Husker fans will still b!^@h. Some of you all need to enjoy this winning thing. This team hasn’t done it for awhile. also. Please for the love some of you need to listen to the press conferences and listen to what these coaches are saying. All of your “complaints” are recognized by the staff. But they have flat out admitted it’s not the style it’s the substance. And wins and the mental learning for this team this year are priority nbr 1
  24. Or, the best defenses in P5. heh..... ;-)
  25. For the record. If you listen to the Nebraska Athletics version you can hear and see the questions and folks asking the questions.
