    If you could pick anywhere to live in the U.S. where would that be and why? Wife and I are kinda thinking of moving, right now we're looking at Colorado, but aren't really set on anything.

      Colorado is gorgeous and you can't go wrong just about anywhere you go. 

       

      If I had my choice, I'd live in the Bay Area, on the peninsula.  But cost of living is absurd, which is why we left.

       

      Nebraska is nice, especially in one of the smaller communities not too far from Omaha or Lincoln. You have crappy summers, but winters are getting milder and nine months out of the year it's pretty great.

      Colorado is great.

       

      If the job market didn't suck and the cost of living wasn't so high, I would have stayed in Hawaii.

      Assuming everything is equal for cost of living I'd probably go with Lake Tahoe (Nevada side of course for tax purposes) or the Pacific NW (I'm fine with rain over snow).  Hard to argue with Colorado too.
