If 11 or 12 wins is your minimum acceptable, let me prematurely welcome you to the darkside. You'll be one of us by this time next year. How do I know? I was where you are less than a year ago.

That is precisely the problem, these players are better than the record indicates. Bo may very well have their backs but he would be doing them better service if he was putting them in position and situations to win. Beck isn't cutting it and never will. Our punt game strategy is a complete joke. Whatever they are doing in practice as far as tackling and fumble prevention is not working but can fully be expected to continue as is. Bo will continue treating the media with disdain and no respect, so you can bet your ass they will not cut him any slack and we will only see more of the circus we were treated to this year. Sideline cameras will remain focused on Bo in anticipation of his next exhibit of lack of control. Game officials, as impartial as they are, will enter every game with Bo like his next move will be the straw that pushes them over the edge and this will translate to less benefit of the doubt for our whole team. I've got more but I'm preaching to the choir and everyone else doesn't seem to care.

And towards the end of next season, when we are unranked and sitting at home for the ccg, we will be offered excuses, asked to give it one more year, and those of us who already recognize the writing on the wall will be castigated as bad fans and told how rotten we are because we're not on the Boridge to nowhere. Oh yeah, I'm looking forward to next season.

Just wanted to point something out. Just because we are discovering in years 5 & 6 that Bo probably isn't the guy to return us to greatness, does not mean a mistake was made in hiring him. IMO the mistake is now being made by keeping him. I wanted Bo when he was hired and that continued up until this season. Everyone has a differing tolerance level for the Pelini issues.

I understand people being upset. I'm at best surprised myself. But give it a rest. This is pure butthurt. How are three of our losses to "lesser" opponents if they are two teams are currently ranked #11 and #22 and the other two have the same record we do? Can't be because they have an easier schedule because ours is about as easy as they come, right? This isn't "butthurt" unlike many of my recent posts. This is actually how I think Bo responds based on what Ivewseen from him so far. As far as three lesser teams, let me explain. Yes, we are not good ourselves so it is difficult to say any team is leaser, but I sure don't believe Nebraska belongs in the same company as Iowa or Minnesota. And although MSU is ranked and has good defensive stats, I base my assessment of them on their game with us. That was an easily winnable game in which they played worse than we did except for five turnovers. They sure didn't play us like a team that deserved to be ranked. We win that game easily, playing our usual half assed brand of football, if we just hang on to the ball. On the day we played them, they were a lesser opponent. The butthurt comes from being a middling team in a weak ass B1G conference. I will never accept that kind of irrelevance and can't "give it a rest". There are already enough people accepting it and giving it a rest.

If I'm Bo I make no changes. I just got a vote of confidence from my boss, nobody that matters cares how I behave, and enough of the fanbase is content with losing four games, three to lesser opponents. Why should I change anything for these f'ing fans? Screw em, they'll miss me when I'm gone.

Let's be realistic, the only reason that atreak has not ended already is because the people have more expendable entertainment dollars than there are places for them to spend them in Nebraska. The gap may be extremely widde but don't make the mistake of thinking it could never happen. If the product remains poor and some other viable options pop up, it could happen. That sellout streak still exists because of a lack of alternatives.

We officially just became Iowa. Great. I would go on a rant.......if I cared anymore, but I don't. It would be extremely counter-productive for me to care more than our AD or HC. They aren't changing so I will. #apathy

Has anybody considered that his actions yesterday may have been scripted and performed for a purpose? It was rumored two weeks ago that he would resign following the Iowa game. Is it possible they had to create an event to lend credence to his ouster? I know many of us have legitimate concerns about the job he has done but there are a lot of people who are stuck on the 9-10 win thing. Did they create an event to make it more palatable for those folks? Did Bo go along with it to keep the rumored dirt buried? Probably a bit farfetched.....

I want this settled as soon as possible also, but if yesterdays actions by PeLLLLini changed the plan from one more year to no more, then it could take a few extra hours make an announcement. My gut is that they will want to name the new HC simultaneous with his ouster rather than simply stating they are conducting a search. After all that has transpired, I have to believe SE already has a very short list of some prospects ready to step in. Maybe they're just tying up some contract issues.

I just don't look at it like that at all. I cannot view the outcome of any game without considering multiple factors. That has been extremely problematic this year primarily because our competition has been so weak. Yes, we've had plenty of challenges placed in our path due to a ridiculous amount of devastating injuries but, even considering those, I feel a program like Nebraska should be able to overcome against most of the teams we played. That just drives me nuts. Basically we over acheived in one game (Michigan) and under achieved in most of the other games, not necessarily by result but by performance and execution. I am just absolutely exhausted with wanting this team to perform up to their capabilities and being let down for at least half of every game. I am convinced it is not my expectations that are at fault. Back in the day I didn't like losing to OU, but at least they beat us and we didn't beat ourselves. There is a huge difference between losing a game and getting beat. I will take getting beat any day. We didn't get beat once this year, but we sure have lost four times.

Please clarify this for me. Are you saying there is no difference between losing by 1 point or by 40 because either way results in an L? And therefore it also shouldn't matter how well we play because the only thing that matters is a W or an L? I'm not saying this is what you think but I would like it explained.

I'm curious. What is the point of this question? Reading between the lines, I assume we are not supposed to get upset over losses. For that to be expected, I think it would require a great amount of apathy. Basically an attitude that any outcome is ok and were all just excited to watch them play and cheer them on, win or lose. Being a fan that is invested in a program just doesn't work that way. Now for my answer. I don't mind losing, if it comes at the hands of a team we couldn't beat even though we did all in our power. And therin lies the rub, we are losing to lesser opponents and not doing all we can to play well. Personally it doesn't affect my life at all. I like to watch well played football and my favorite team is Nebraska, a team that used to play the game well. I am only guilty of wanting them to play well again.

No, I think the problem is obviously me. I have never seen the Huskers lose, in person, at Memorial Stadium. It must be that I am not attending enough games. It's on me fellas.
