  1. Nancy walks into the living room and see's Tom on the floor moving from his back to his stomach. Nancy freaks out asking what wrong and asks if she should call 911. Tom looks up and says, "no, I'm just practicing rolling over in my grave".
  2. When was the last time Neb shut out? Think they are re-setting the clock
  3. The one thing this team has going for them is there is no pressure. If they lose they are supposed to because they are the underdog in this situation and are 0-2 in a rebuild. If they team was 2-0 right now I would guess there is a little more pressure because now they have a chance to be 3-0 with one win coming against a ranked team. Play the underdog role and come in and play inspired and walk out with a W.
  4. If I'm Frost at the podium I just tell everyone AM isn't going to play then under my breath say soccer. Thay way I wont he lying
  5. Pass interference or defensive holding i would accept if a DB is getting torched and would otherwise result in a TD. Of course our DB's dont have the craftiness that I used to have with an accidental leg entanglement..... I was slow so I had lots of tricks
  6. yes the pitch relationship was bad from the start. at first he is too close and then once AM hits the corner and heads up field he is way behind. Of course this takes quite a bit of practice to get really good at doing. I think if AM attacks the outside of Morgan's block it forces the safety to have to go over the top and the MLB to take a different angle probably taking him out of the play. Then if Speilman keeps good pitch relationship he is off to the races (if AM pitches).
  7. I think if someone on the defensive side started pulling his weight the defense would be a lot better
  8. I grew up in the midwest and thought I knew what humidity was until I moved to the south. I'm telling you it's different. Hot is hot but with the humidity its nuts. When I go back home and people complain about the humidity I laugh. I had asked in another post what the weather was all week in Lincoln last week. If the weather was like that all week then they should have been prepared. If it was high 70's all week then jumped to 100 that's a big difference
  9. Troy is in the south. Not only is it hot but the humidity is on another level. I'ld compare it to high altitude training. There's also a difference between practice shape and game shape. Ild say it takes at least 2 or 3 games to get in full game shape
  10. also true. I think he has to adjust to the speed of the game at this level and the strength of the players. I watched some of his highlights from Juco and i think i remember him making a few arm tackles. Now guys are just running through those.
  11. Michigan if I remember correctly squeaked by in a few games that year.
  12. he had a nice solo tackle for a loss where he shot the gap and popped the RB. Had another tackle for a loss but he had to reach and ended up grabbing a leg and getting lucky
  13. I remember my first trip to Lincoln. It made me depressed that I missed out on so much for so long and instead I had to watch countless games at Ross-Ade stadium with all 500 fans there in attendance. Tailgates on the golf course were fun tho
  14. I'ld be all for Neb playing NC A&T if they were coming to A&T. I live right down the road.
  15. Well because as Michigan had Heisman winner Charles Woodson who with all his interceptions would have shut us down. Even tho we probably threw the ball about 5 times a game
  16. I learned Troy probably watched a ton of film on Frosts offense. Willing to bet they may have spent more than a week looking at it. At least 3 time I could pick out when the defense definitely knew what was coming just by watching what players at each level did right after the snap
  17. If I'm Michigan's O, I line up, find #21 and run or throw his way 90% of the time. The other 10% is just to keep the other defenders honest. Just rewatched the Troy game. Holy cow.
  18. Wish Aaron Rodgers cared enough about his career to sit out last Sunday. My bears would be 2-0
  19. What was the weather like all week in Lincoln? I'm not making excuses for them but I saw it was 100 degrees on Sat. Obviously people from Alabama are used to that plus some humidity. I remember a few times in college it being nice all week and then on Saturday it being un-godly hot and it just zaps the energy out of you.
  20. I kinda said "hmm" when they called it an INT. But they gave it to him. If the QB puts a little more stank on it, its a TD
  21. I mentioned both these plays in another thread. It was pretty obvious watching it live that he had no clue what was going on
  22. The first game was losing the turnover battle and making stupid mistakes i.e. penalties. Troy was some of the latter but it looked to me Frost and crew were out coached. Troy had a good game plan on both sides of the ball. I was disappointed with the defense. Dedrick Young made two pretty obvious mistakes while watching. I believe they were both in the redzone and one led to a score. He had no idea what he was doing on both plays and was out of position. Lamar Jackson, even tho he got on interception, played poorly again. He was beat on the INT and was bailed out by an under thrown ball. He was continuously beat and got lucky a few times. He was also being owned by the Wr on the play that led to the first down being reviewed. O line looked like hot trash. kept getting beat off the ball and missing blitzers.
