  1. I don't know if it's the way he is coached or if it's completely on him but there were quite a few times when you would have thought Lee thought Morgan was the only rec on the field
  2. Seemed like the d was much better when Reed was playing. I don't really remember but didnt he cause the fumble as Well?
  3. I'm pretty sure I said he locked on to his target st Tulane and in the spring game and people thought I was crazy. He made some mistakes last week and I went to bat for him. He for some reason thought Morgan was his only option today. I still think by the time big ten play rolls around he will look better. Ps... We have terrible team speed
  4. Quick someone remind Parsons that Nebraska started the game day sign tradition
  5. I think one of the plays I was most impressed with was when he was being dragged down and on his way down he fires a bullet to IIRC DPE. Just shows the arm strength he has because that's not an easy task
  6. Maybe this is why Riley said they are close to playing Jaimes. He might be the best option at right tackle
  7. Is thinking your team that has a lot to prove can beat another team that has a lot to prove being over confident???
  8. Is this like Michigan saying the team down south?.. ND is in South Bend, IN.
  9. I wonder if the UNC vs Louisville will get cancelled. NC has been put under a state of emergency because of Irma
  10. Also you can't base much on what happened last year. Different coaches, different players etc.
  11. Oregon played a team in a lower division and gave up 21 points in the first half. Nebraska's defense gave up 27 total. Yes they gave up a sh#t load of yards but last time I checked yards alone don't win a game. Arky state has multiple power 5 and Juco transfers that are talented. Should we have beat them by more? Yes. Does all of this mean we can't beat Oregon? No. If you watched any of Oregon's highlights you can tell Utah school for the ungifted is not very good on defense. They were scoring from 20 yards + without even being touched. The defense was over pursuing and out of position and unathletic. Is our defense great? Nope. But I'm willing to bet they will be more prepared for Oregon and this game will be closer than most think...... in our favor
  12. Unless the stadium catches fire this game will be played. "We will monitor the situation", means we are going to play regardless but want to make it look like we care about air quality
  13. My thought exactly. Better not play any games this year because we didn't win the CC last year so there is no way we will win it this year
  14. Yeah if we represent the west in the CCG nobody will remember this game
  15. Riley says Diaco will talk to the press from now on so everyone can quit their crying
  16. Fine won't go in the books as a drop. But it hit him in chest and then in the hands and the score board operator didn't have to change a 0 to a 6. He dropped it and that's a ball that should have been caught.
  17. What I will assume is that either Lee or Hoppes was not where they were supposed to be. Either Lee isn't supposed to roll that far or Hoppes held his block too long and didn't get enough depth or far enough outside. Lee probably should have just thrown the ball away
  18. Is this in the voice of the kids from Mad Max
  19. I agree that he forced some throws and by no means was perfect. I just don't agree that Hoppes was a better option in this play. Was he open? Yes. But he was behind Lee and Lee was already in his wind up before Hoppes even threw his hands up.
  20. Yeah your right Knevel didn't wiff on his block and 25 wasn't giving chase to Lee. I'm familiar with with the concept most people would call it a flood. The only problem was Hoppes was not headed to the sideline. I guess technically he was but he took like 3 steps. If Lee is supposed to look Hoppes way this play needs to be struck from the playbook. Brett Farve wouldn't try to make that throw
  21. Agree..... If Lee wasn't flused out of the pocket. I find it hard to believe he was supposed to be out of the pocket that far and look back to his left for an outlet. It's called the golden rule of quarterbacking for a reason. More often than not it results in an INT. Looks like it was supposed to be a play action with a half roll but there was a defender in the backfield right away and Lee took off. If you were watching the end zone view of this play I don't think you would expect him to throw to Hoppes
  22. That was last year. We beat Oregon last year and someone now according to some there is no chance we will win next week
  23. Yeah five yards behind where Lee is and Lee is on the move with guys coming at him. He would have made the same mistake he did on his very first throw. You don't throw across your body. It's also easy for Sam to say it's a better option but I can guarantee Lee can't even see Hoppes on this play. Unless he stops turns his entire body and throws, thats not a throw you want. Plus if he does that he's taking one in the chops. Unfortunately he had two options on that play.. it was Reimers and whoever was the short route on the sideline.
