only one way to find out if a guy can play

I don't blame him. Nobody knows his health right now. He could be beat up and battling through something and doesn't want to go through one more game that doesn't mean anything. Maybe he has had conversations with his teammates? Maybe those teammates said "yeah we are cool with it". I might feel different if it was a bowl game and it was the difference between a winning season and a losing season... but its not

Casey and Damion have looked pretty good this year but I didn't mention them because of their limited playing time last year. Yeah Bootle used to give me migraines because he would be right there to make a play on a ball and not be able to and the Rec makes a grab for a big gain. Cam is better but I thought he was pretty solid and you could see flashes of what is to come in the future. He would make some bonehead mistakes but always gave good effort. Now if he could stop getting kicked out of games he could be all-conf. Probably the only corner in the entire college football landscape to kicked out of two games.

guys who have improved a bunch since Frost took over: Collin Miller Will Honas Ben Stille Dicaprio Bootle (some think he still isn't good but he has improved) Austin Allen Cam Jurgens. Even though the high snaps are problem his blocking has improved since he 1st started. Just watch the difference between him and his replacement Dedrick Mills. if you look at his running style before he got here and what he did by the end of last year you can see an improvement. I don't know what his health is like this year but he still runs hard and he holds onto the ball. He's also a hell of a blocker. This team is getting better and I truly believe once they can string a few wins together in a row they will understand what it takes. It's not always the best players but the right players at the right time.

Looks like he has his best results every 3 or 4 years. Probably when he had the right kids come in a recruiting class and are playing as jrs and snrs. Maybe Nebraska will be 9-4 next year

do we know exactly why Flemming was shown the door? I keep seeing instagram. But I also remember reading that he wasn't going to class and showing up to practice late as well as going through teammates lockers. That tells me he doesn't care much for his teammates. Could we have use him, sure, need him, no. Some kids get away from their parents for the 1st time and don't know how to act.

If Nate Gerry can make a NFL roster so can Domann. Honas needs another year but he has been playing much better. Dismuke and Williams might make a practice squad. Williams has the want to, to get in the mix but he never wraps up and has no ball skills. Bootle I could see making it somewhere on special teams but he also lacks ball skills to play NFL corner. That being said Dismuke and Bootle probably need to move on.

I've been pretty impressed with Honas' tackling this year. Might have been a few times he has looked like last year but for the most part he has been laying the wood.

trick plays usually work best off of a play that you run really well... we don't have any of those

Charlotte is only an hour drive for me. I wouldn't mind going to the Duke's Mayo bowl.

for all those Mills haters out there. He's a hard runner and holds onto the ball. He gets yards where there are yards for the most part. I get he's not explosive but if you wonder why they stick with him watch him block. The kid has had quite a few really nice blocks not only in the passing game but in the QB run game as well.

@Crusader Husker I heard if the bears fire Matt Nagy they might go after Fitzpatrick from NW. It would be like a Big 10 rivalry week between the Bears and lions. Also, what else do the Lions have to lose? all the other schticks they have tried haven't worked either.

I'm more of the run down there like your hair is on fire and don't mess with anyone on the other team. run around right or run around left (as far as blocking is concerned) if everyone is on the same page it doesn't leave huge holes.

I just think this proves Frost's statement about Jurgens. The offense goes as he goes. No bad snaps made WR get open and Adrian actually hit them.

I'm Ok with the trash talk. It means they actually have some fight in them. As long as they are smart about it and say s#!t that will get the other team to respond in a negative fashion. There is an art to trash talk. Also Betts needs to be on the field more. He also needs to lift more weights. Doesn't look like he can break a tackle.

I could see Jaimes getting drafted in the later rounds. Everyone else would be a FA. Domann is the only one I would want to come back. One more year in the same position and if he has a good year I see him getting drafted as well. I would like to see the younger talent play behind the Bootle and Williams. Stoll is pretty solid and wouldn't mind him coming back. He's not super flashy but he is dependable.

if he can catch a deep ball or snap a ball 5yrds consistently I say bring him in.
