HFT - It's ok to offer an opinion different from the majority. We do it here all the time. However, the majority of us find a way to do it in a way that isn't so abrasive and over the top. Do you happen to drive a truck for a living? In case you haven't noticed, college football is a business. They are in this to make money... serious money. The only way Nebraska changes conferences in the future is if someone offers us more money and, at a minimum, the same level of conference stability.

It's crazy how panicky people get. We just played a very good team and got beat badly. It happens- even to the best teams in the country. See Alabama Clemson last year. The media would have us believe we are in a position to win it all every year. That's their job- get us all excited so we click a bunch of their articles so they get paid. When it doesn't happen, we are mad at our coach and our team... we should be ticked at the media. Realistic reporting doesn't get many clicks unless your team name is OSU, Alabama, etc. You want realistic, listen to what Frost and BM are saying. Not the media bites but what they actually say. Making a bowl game this year is progress. Winning 6+ games after back to back 4-8 seasons is good. This will take time... I'm still feeling good about my 7-5 prediction. GBR!

Anyone guess Labron James yet? He is a huge OSU supporter and, after all, they are the star of the dog and pony show this week. Game Day is here to see Ohio on their march the the playoffs...not Nebraska.

No delay required- This game is a win/win for Nebraska - no matter the outcome. We aren't supposed to even be competitive according to the national narrative. Nobody thinks we can win so if we lose, no big deal to anyone outside of Nebraska. If we are competitive or even find a way to win, we start to change national perception. OSU on the other hand has everything to lose and nothing really to gain. If they beat us by any less than the spread, it's a bad look for them.

And special teams... guessing their average starting field position is a lot better than ours.

No, that is saved for Florida schools, Colorado, and Texas.

They are amazing college athletes capable of so much... but they are still college kids. Taking this week a little more serious is natural. Coaches try but they can't fully control player emotions or excitement. I'm sure there is a little more focus this week knowing every guy across the line of scrimmage is at minimum an equal in talent.

I can see the eye rolls from recruits now... remember, our future success is directly tied to convincing 17 and 18 year old future stars to play football here. Big nope from me...

The goal of all television programming is to get the most views possible. More views = more advertiser money. Some of us forget this is a business that profits from the number of viewers. Yes, they do occasionally go to quirky places but I guarantee their reasoning behind doing so is to get people to watch. Expanding the audience per say - same reason the B1G tried to get into different population centers. I'm not saying the won't be in Salt Lake next weekend. I have no clue- but my bet is it will be in Lincoln IF the Huskers look impressive against Illinois.

Remember, their goal isn't to cover the game that represents the two highest ranking teams, their goal is to get the most people tuned in. It's hard to find two more involved fans bases that Ohio State and Nebraska. As long as we don't look bad Saturday, I think it will be here.

The game is in SLC so would be mountain time zone - 7am. Still early but beats 6am.

If I remember right, the last time a B1G team won a national title, that same team lost by 14 points in week 2 against a team that they "should have blown out". All the same click bait articles were out about how much "trouble" they were in. I have no idea how this team will finish but I find it comical that a portion of our fan base panics when things don't go according to script. Chill out and let the man work people.

You use the term sexually assaulted pretty loosely. From my understanding she was willingly performing an act with another minor that got video tapped. That is not sexual assault.

There may not be much mention of the case in the news now but you can count on commentators bringing it up during broadcasts for a while, whether he plays or not. I personally think it's crazy to punish someone for something completely unrelated to the university or the team, prior to a court finding him guilty in this case. If the charges were for something violent, and there was sufficient reason for the university to believe it was true, I may feel differently.

2 are from Wyoming, the rest from Nebraska. The biggest are from Nebraska... public land.

1st Husker game of the year we always host a huge fish fry. We have about 70 pounds of fillets (walleye, white bass, crappie, catfish) to fry and a lot people coming. I have a 30x40 man cave with a 75" and another 55" out on the patio... and we will drink- a lot. Kids will play football in the yard, moms will stress and men will drink, cheer, bitch, and in general be happy because it's finally here. Damn I love football season.

This all boils down to a very simple explanation. We have had the wrong person leading our program. I don't care how great your recruiting rankings are (see Florida State for example) you have to have the right guy leading.

Saban has seemed to do ok with high assistant turnover. The offense is Frost- he can train new assistants. With all other positions, who knows, maybe we get an upgrade.

I really like the 2019 jerseys but can't vote them ahead of 2016- those just looked awesome imo.
