I refuse to bet on Nebraska game to game because it stresses me out too much. I do place a $20 "fun bet" yearly for them to win the national title. I have the tickets hanging in my man cave. There are been some nice odds the last few years. Maybe it will pay off some day

I just looked up the BTN TV schedule. It says our episode will air Saturday at 5pm Central. It will also air several more times later in the evening if you can't catch it then- 7:30pm, 9pm, and 11pm all on Saturday. It also looks like it will air Sunday morning several times.

I would imagine that no matter who is picked, there will be starting players that were hoping it went the other way. It takes a little time mentally to get past those issues so for our benefit and theirs, I hope we get word soon.

Where does TB fit in at RB if 100% healthy? If those 3 are honestly better, we are in amazing shape at RB.

A new concern just hit me... a lot of us with office jobs may be fired before the first game because we spend way too much time online waiting for the next tidbit of news.

So many conclusion will be falsely made this week based on 25 minutes of media availability... humorous. The media is just really hungry for news because they know we are all clicking everything they put out there right now. Take it all with a grain of salt and wait for official words from the coaching staff in a about 10 days.

My biggest fear is that my kegerator won't be delivered to my man cave for the first game- seriously it is 2 weeks past due! In all seriousness, I have no fears about the season other than the fan issues already mentioned. I will be cautiously optimistic about the season but really don't have high expectations. I think it is very possible that we lose to CU or Troy. To me, that wouldn't be that big of a deal this early on in the rebuild.

I think it's good to frequently remember how bad it has been so we can keep our expectations in check over the next few months. We are moving out of a deep and dark place... it may take a minute to pull out of that shadow.

I remember being so frustrated with the play calling in those games. It was almost like he had a quota of pass attempts he was required to hit each game.

Not there...yet. I believe next year at this time the gap will be much smaller.

Me too- I'm always expecting to open it and see the bad news. I hope he can have a great season with no drama.

From the sounds of things we need to start Washington's Heisman campaign before he ever touches the field... The kid has impressed the heck out of everyone it sounds like.

Going against those defenses I don't believe we have much chance even averaging 30 points per game. If we win a lot this year, it will be because our defense improved tremendously.

No matter who is picked I think we are going to have a ton of second guessing by our fan base as the season goes on. It's our nature to always think the next guy can do better. I would like to see both get playing time early but I agree that a clear cut starter should be named as early as possible so the core of the offense can gel. They bring different strengths to the table imo so I don't see them being completely interchangeable- play calling would need to be adjusted.

Martinez's running ability captured our minds in the spring game but that should be taken with a grain of salt. It was a spring game where QBs were protected... Things can change when the green jersey's come off. I think it's crazy but I get the feeling a good portion of the fan base will be disappointed if Gebbia starts. I'm going to sit back and trust the coaches... if they put him in the number 1 spot it's for good reason imo.

I like the tough schedules as they leave no doubt as to the teams worthiness when they are in consideration for the playoff.

I like that they are coming here after stops at most of the top B1G schools. You can't always trust their perspective but I do think they offer some insight as to how we stack up.

I'm not surprised where we are at. I think most of us felt that Frost was the right hire and knew what he would bring to the table. I do think that buy in was going to be fairly easy compared to the Riley change. Riley was replacing a coach that the team was very loyal to- almost to a fault. Frost is replacing a coach that was soft and didn't produce on the field- every competitive kid in the world wants to win and they have all been shown with past results that Scott knows how to win. Surprised not at all- but very happy with where we are at. Can't wait for 9/1.

IMO the only way a Frost led team is going to beat a Meyer led team is in the NFL. Maybe Frost will get bored winning nattys here in ten years. Meyer will be coaching the Browns within the next 12 months...

The media isn't going to drop this one for some time. Urban is too big of a story for them at a time when they don't have any other drama to chase. I also can see where the NCAA could take issue with the title IX violations with him and his wife. Ohio State could be held accountable as an organization. I honestly have a hard time seeing Urban coaching a major program again in the future. Maybe Youngstown needs an assistant...

This game just got more interesting... Buckle up for another Ohio State scandal and coach firing.

For me, the top 5 or 6 are pretty easy but the water gets a little muddy around spots 7, 8 and 9.

For a good discussion point, those of you in favor of an 8 team playoff should list who you would have included over the past 3 seasons. I'm curious how much these will differ just from us here.

I sure hope you are right. Expecting 30 every game seems pretty lofty when you view who and where we play this year, the rookie under center, and trying to learn a new system.
