Crusader Husker

So on the eve of another Husker loss, I read stuff from people who say Frost needs time. I see a bunch of excuses of why he couldn't get to bowl, again. I will try to be objective and see if there is any improvement in the areas that have killed us. OL play QB decisions I really want to see if HCSF is coaching or reacting. I would be curious to know from people who go to the games. Is he actually coaching?

Too bad my body, my choice, doesn't work with everything.

It looks like we are barely big enough to make this mandate. Like most places I guess, we are probably somewhere around 80% vaccinated. I wonder if this will be the next wave that of stuff that effects the economy?

I think we spend too much time as fans worry about the best, or popular, choice. I think, and hope, Trev makes the right choice. HCSF was the best choice. The choice that made the most people happy. The choice we all thought was the right choice. It was not the right choice. Trev needs to spend the time, using all of his resources making the right choice. It may in the short term not be what I like or what others like. It may take time to know for sure. It may be a choice that makes us say WTF. I will be patient. I just hope Trev makes the right choice.

One of my track coaching friends here in Ohio is a big Husker fan and a Bengals fan. The Husker fan in him wants Zac Taylor to come to Nebraska. The Bengals fan in him said he wants him in Cincinnati.

I am lucky. My son's game is during this one. I won't have to watch. I may glance at the score when his game is over.

It is time for a new Coach and and a new QB. Anyone who doesn't think so at this point is delusional!!!

The article is good, BUT (insert whiny Midwestern voice) Scott needs more time, he is one of us, but Riley, but Callahan, but.....

He should stay until every, "Scott deserves more time" people admit that he has made us a perennial B1G west bottom dweller.

Husker should join the MAC

I honestly think Trev is waiting to see what the next 4 games look like. I think he has a bunch of scenarios in his head, but doesn't know yet. I think the only thing he knows for sure, is if he can afford a buyout or not.

I don't like PJ Fleck, a lot of people don't like PJ Fleck. BUT, PJ Fleck has done better than Frost and also has continued to kick around the Huskers. I would take PJ to run our program. I like wins more than I dislike Fleck. Fleck won't be our next coach, but I will remember to deal with any coach who pisses me off but wins. (like Bo)

When Scott says he needs to go to the portal to find guys, he is admitting to sucking at recruiting and/or development of players.

The problem is that to get the entire Husker nation to get behind a new hire, Scott has to lose the rest of his games. It could happen. I am still around a few people that think Scott is the guy to get us back. I don't think there is any evidence of that in these 4 seasons. I thought he would get it done, I was wrong.

When we look at a new coach I am looking for certain traits. *Instill the type of toughness that makes SEC and B1G programs great *Establish relationships with their athletes and instill greatness during their time and UNL and in life. *a coach that develop athletes into top level players with a chance at a NFL career *A coach that can instill a culture of accountability and winning driven by the athletes *I don't care if they have any ties to the program. Our 2 best coaches played at small colleges. One was a Bronco and the other was a Scotty. We don't have to have a Husker tie. Trev will let them know about the traditions.

Wow, we are still 10 days out and they are nervous. Can you imagine the response if this would have happened under Riley?

Wow, I go off to FB practice and the place blows up! Winning cures every thing, but if we don't win?? In other news we put the wishbone in today. (just a set to give teams something to think about) Somewhere Barry Switzer is smiling....
