I just look at it as money well worth the investment for getting his ass out of power- he was a hater of Nebraska Football because it made him look exactly what he is: a small fragile and insecure petty man with an ego that'd never match his delusional self image and meretricious act of doucebaggery

easy answer to what went wrong, and the short answer is Riley is a career mess of a coach and should never have been hired based on that fact alone-long answer but still a simple concept is the hiring of Eichorst by Perlman, who hired an aging sub-par coach was basically looking to get out of a mess in Miami, and before that there was Pedo boy replacing another wining coach with a last minute replacement who wasn't a fit in style or substance, were colossal blunders that started this thing- lots of other common threads between the two but hey its been dissected a million times- but the common denominator was old Harv, and while we're at it, you might say if old Harv would have kept his mouth shut on Bo's sideline blow-up and just let the AD at the time handle it in private, maybe that whole situation wouldn't have escalated to the point it did. Harv the destroyer is gone now so at least there is hope

it was pretty easy for me to conclude that by considering the premise is to poo poo the "hot" coach theory- what does that imply? We should stick with the worm hunter because hey these guys don't always work out- now I admit that is just my take on what he was implying, and of course I could be way off base, but you'd have to agree it has a bit of logic to it.- or not, as I've come to understand that this board and the posts here are not always based in logic

im not going to bite on the spreads anymore- my prediction on tOSU was pretty close on (59-6) till they low-balled the spread to 24pts made me think something was up- somehow they knew something that'd make it go that low- it was just to sucker in the betting, like always

which still leads us to the question of, why the relatively low points spread?

Since Riley is basically a nicer version of Callahan, I think he might try and run the ball to shorten the game similar to that Callahan loss to USC the year they played in LA- you know play to not be embarrassed. This would cut down on pick 6 type plays that would, if repeated, result in a score close to, or worse than last years game. If he does that I'd say we only lose by 2-4 TD's not the 6-9 most people expect. maybe that's why the line is at only + 24.5 I happen to think the Dorf doesn't have the capacity to do this, because he suffers from a form of passing Tourette's syndrome that forces him to throw a bubble screen on 3 and 2 But im going to lower my prediction from 59-6 to 41-13 because I think Riley will try to play to not get embarrassed.

sure i see how you could say that, but this isn't the 90's or even 2009, and of course we were competitive with Oregon, and No. Ill. yep no way an undefeated RANKED team should motor boat us, even if if they currently average over 47 points a game and beat Maryland at their house by basically the same score Wisconsin beat us, but I guess you could say we were competitive with Wisconsin too- OK i changed my mind it'd be a competitive game.

too bad they don't play cause I'd take those points to the bank- UCF would destroy us- but I understand that goes against rose-colored logic and simple facts of this seasons results and the evidence of both teams coaches and their perspective records

as we don't have great stats rushing I assumed the first guy was right about TOTAL rushing yards- my bad for not looking it up, however the facts are they are a better coached team and does anyone seriously think UCF would be 3-4 TD favorites if we played them? and I doubt those people who claim to want a running team would reject Frost
