  1. I just feel bad for AM. He has been strung along for 4 years, it was Frost's job to bring in someone to legit challenge him, or replace him. Frost has cornered himself with zero other options and in turn has f#&%ed AM and himself.
  2. GAME WINNING DRIVE FROM AM, TD TO BETTS AS TIME EXPIRES. FIGHT ME.
  3. I'd rather win by one score at this point. Like a shooter on a cold spell watching a 3 go in. We gotta see a close game go our way. Gotta learn to win some dog fights.
  4. I think it came out that the kids were in a young democrats group. Major level of "oof" if true. That would take some next level stupidity.
  5. Trev didn't want to produce a sound clip of him saying "Scott is coaching for his job". I also think many people assumed 6+ wins and a bowl was a foregone conclusion. The media and all our fans thought this would be a 7-5 type team. The people in the pre-season prediction thread that we're calling for a loss to Illinois or a losing season were told to not be so pessimistic. I think people are still holding out hope for 6 wins, but 3-4 wins would create an insane amount of pressure for Trev to make a move. We aren't living in the same world when Trev made that original quote.
  6. I think the only thing worse than being 3-5, are the people trying to convince me it's not bad.
  7. I don't miss the bowls. Playing top PAC12, SEC, ACC teams in sunny warm places. I much prefer to re-watch one of our close losses again.
  8. Yikes. A MAGA rally, turned mob, egged on by Trump attacked the capital and this f#&% stick calls it a false flag less than a year later. Absolutely staggering how dumb some people are.
  9. So you think winning 5 games in year 4 is too high of a bar to clear.
  10. I think you're doing what everyone else is doing. People that say he should be fired are assuming the worst. People that say he should be retained are assuming 2+ wins down the stretch. If we go 1-3 or 0-4 with blowout losses to Iowa and OSU - just about everyone will understand a move has to be made. If we beat Purdue, Iowa, Wisconsin - just about everyone will see the progress. Just have to let it play out!
  11. Waiting is really the only option. I think 2-2 or better you give him another shot. More importantly that's probably 2-1 against Purdue, Wisconsin, Iowa. 1-3, or 0-4 it's time to cut bait. At the end of the day, my barometer is where are we compared to the 6 teams we play every year - all of our goals go through those 6 teams. 2018: 2-4 2019: 2-4 2020: 1-4 2021: 1-5 OR 2-4. If we are consistently losing to Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota - and trading punches with Purdue, NW and Illinois - that is not progress, and that gets us no closer to any of our goals.
  12. Fascinating. Well that's one mystery solved.
  13. He told me true stuff, but it was also obvious enough to me where I didn't know if I should give him credit or not haha.
  14. My buddy used to tell me of a message board where all the connected people go to trade insider secrets. He told me it was password protected, and you had to know someone to get in, not like Red Sea Scrolls or 247 or anything. Never knew if it was a myth or it actually existed. He would always feed me info from a friend who was on that "board". Always took what he said with a massive grain of salt, but not gonna lie it always made me curious if such a place existed.
  15. Yep, Trev is smart enough to not paint himself into a corner with quotes. The probability of going 4-8 or 3-9 with 2 beatdowns is low, but hardly impossible. And if that happens, Trev will want options.
  16. Has me a little worried. In Purdue's two best wins they averaged 33 carries for like 110 yard, so they don't really need to get the ground game going. Our pass D has managed to make Morgan and Sitkowski look more efficient than they have all season. Two 50%-60% passers connected at an 80+% rate against us. They'll test our secondary down Williams, and test our LBs in coverage. I'd imagine Chins is getting creative on how to bring a pass rush, because like I said, Purdue's QBs are very effective if given time.
  17. And I'll take the team that beat s#!tty Illinois by 19, not the team that lost to s#!tty Illinois. BTW that '18 OSU team had proved way more than this year's Michigan, MSU or Oklahoma. MSU/UM currently haven't played any teams even receiving a vote in either poll. So '18 had better wins, and a more impressive moral victory.
  18. Yes the OSU blowouts featuring 3 punts the last 2 years, on national TV, have been such a breath of fresh air.
  19. If all of Frosts past teams played, it would probably look like Illinois/Penn St. Each possession less clutch than the one prior.
  20. I'd take end of the year 2018 squad hands down. Hung with that 13-1 OSU team on the road. Hung with 9-4 Iowa on the road. Beat the only two winning teams in Frost's entire tenure.
  21. I've heard many former players say "I didn't play because I loved it, I played because I'm good at it" - JD seemed to fit that mold. Ultra talented, but never seemed like that was what he wanted to do with his life.
  22. Wild to me that the low bar to clear in year 1, has become out high bar to clear in year 4.
