Conspiracy time! The B1G presidents are so worried about these documents leaking that they'll bring back football to have this lawsuit dropped. Yeah, I don't believe that either. However, in 2020 it also wouldn't surprise me a bit. I'm now wondering whether anything will surprise me again after this year.

Hard questions, so you're saying crunchy. I disagree! Where is the Kevin-o-meter sitting at for confidence in season restoration now? I can't see the south stopping football @mrandyk Come hell, high-water or having to play 4th stringers. Unless the governor ordered it, which good luck with that in Alabama, they'll keep right on. The NFL definitely will, they've had just a handful of positive tests in about 60k during an 8 day stretch. https://www.nfl.com/news/ten-positive-cases-in-latest-covid-19-testing-data-from-nfl-nflpa

California will not be having football anytime soon, so the Pac 14 would have to go on without those teams. I really think they would only start up again if the Big Ten does as well, such is the level of adoration they all have for the Rose Bowl which I just don't get. They care way more about that than National Championships. In any case, I think he just wanted any questions to stop and that you're reading too much into things.

Because they'd have to admit it was wrong.

I don't actually believe anything is going on, that's why there are no leaks. As Frantz just pointed out, Frost says there has been no communication.to coaches. Moos is bearish on fall and expects a try in the spring. I'd love to be wrong but it feels they are just sitting around and hoping the rest have to cancel, which they aren't going to. A buddy of mine thinks Sir Yacht had someone bet him he couldn't get Trump to retweet him, and here we are.

Love it! That 2nd play failed bubble screen made it feel authentic.

SPOILIER ALERT: One of my groomsmen was roommates with a family friend of Nash H. Nash relayed to that friend/roommate that Frost told the team no football in the fall but maybe spring.

The turnover rate we need to go down for a decade is that of the coaching staff. The rest will settle itself out.

No way. These are the most entertaining things we have because there most likely won't be any actual news for weeks. If they voted today, then we have 3 weeks for silence, a lawsuit, then they will release vote info. Duh.

B1G Officially Cancels 2020 Season, What’s Next For NU?

It's not a typical year so I think that's a moot point. Most likely, but who can say? -
B1G Officially Cancels 2020 Season, What’s Next For NU?

I get the joke, and I chuckled but it's smart. Those stars are prepping for their football jobs, the rest have limited time to still play the game and are fighting to do it. Makes a lot of sense. -

What will you be doing on Saturdays this Fall??
runningblind replied to TGHusker's topic in Husker Football
Pretty sure the singing was gonna cost them their careers anyway. To contribute to the thread, I will NOT be listening to the Dixie Chicks on Saturdays this fall. -

Rumors and news of a B1G football season
runningblind replied to Crusader Husker's topic in Husker Football
Here's some discussion, I think starting around Thanksgiving and not in October if playing in the fall is a silly idea. SVP agrees with me. https://247sports.com/Article/Big-Ten-Conference-football-Thanksgiving-start-date-Scott-Van-Pelt-criticizes-Ohio-State-Buckeyes-Michigan-Wolverines-football-150838802/ -
Went to a high school football game last night

Clearly you didn't do it right then. -
I look at it like this. I am going to die in 2 years of cancer, but I just got Covid and died today. Can you say the cancer is my cause of death today? No, that's not the case, I would have lived through the day if it weren't for Covid. Simple as that. Did the cancer contribute? Sure. A thousand things contribute over a lifespan but that cheeseburger I ate 35 years ago shouldn't be listed on my death certificate.

Seriously people, she's a chiropractor. You gonna listen to a dentist about chemotherapy? Similar deal here. If we could get actual info, not biased by people's political beliefs, we could maybe have football still.

Expand on that, high school transfers into Iowa eh? -
I watched a kid break his leg at a Deftones show there once. During the concert, its the phenomenon where everyone is smashed together, the back continues to push forward and the barrier in front falls over. The people in the middle have no choice but to fall over, it's a very strange feeling. Kid near me tried to hold up the crowd and his lower leg snapped.

Eight Husker Football Players Sue the Big Ten
runningblind replied to knapplc's topic in Husker Football
The thing these presidents/chancellors/council/commissioner don't seem to get is a lot of this scrutiny never happens if they just would have been transparent from the start. Here's our reasoning, here are the studies, here's the vote. Any questions? Ok, looking forward to the future. They've brought this all on themselves. -
Eight Husker Football Players Sue the Big Ten

How does this work when the suit is in one jurisdiction but the B1G is in Illinois, then the rest are all spread around?
