  1. Yep. Even with the title of worst 9-2 team, they are still better than us most days. That margin is thin though, so you never know.
  2. Worked out well with this schedule. Next year and beyond we will see different styles of offense and more throw ball plays for sure.
  3. I'll throw out a hot take and say Iowa is the worst 9-2 team of all time. I'm willing to bet no other 9-2 team in history has the worst ranked offense in college football.
  4. I think the point is one of something, be it a coaching decision or a ref call, costs the game all by itself. It has an impact of course, but collectively lots of things make up the outcome. E.G. The kicker who misses a last second FG did not lose his team the game, he contributes but is not 100% at fault, on and on. We also benefit from missed calls, whether the people who love to complain about the refs acknowledge that or not.
  5. I don't think Iowa is going to coast, they are the last school that would do that. They only play one way. However, an improbable game means both teams scoring just 14ish points in this case, so while I have made money betting the under on them all year, I am taking the over on this one. It is just too low, but I won't be shocked at all if we see a 9-5 final score.
  6. I noticed similar head bobbing a few times for the Chefs tonight and it wasn't flagged either.
  7. Yes. I don't quite understand the RB rotation. Maybe extra concerned about injuries with no depth?
  8. Personally I would laugh at this, only for the fact that they just paid $75 million to buy out a coach, then they go looking for the guy with probably the highest buyout possible they would have to pay to hire. One coaching change and some $150 million paid to do it would be hilarious. We would have to start over again, but would have a lot of coin available to go do it I suppose.
  9. The defense did plenty for us to win, and they have in basically every game but Michigan and Colorado probably (Colorado being questionable as the first half was still really good). The issue was we did not score at all from the 6 minute mark in the first quarter until 4 seconds to go in the game.
  10. The refs miss calls on both sides, not just on Nebraska. That is click bait, plain and simple.
  11. Hidden yards, turnover battle, and they simply do not beat themselves. They make you drive to score, very few big plays given up. The hidden yards, and overall special teams, continue to have more of an effect on games than most realize.
  12. The last one was, but the first half turnover on downs up 14 syre wasn't.
  13. I'll make you a friendly wager that Raiola is not fired, and my guess is no one will be after one year.
  14. A lot of capital letterss and bolded font around here after last night. The internet only has so much ink to go around!
  15. I love a good conspiracy as much as the next person!
  16. You a "nazis on the moon" sort of guy or more of a "5G in my covid shot from the secret lab" kind of guy?
  17. It's very heavily run oriented, and it breaks down if you get off schedule. It is a better version of what the academies run for sure, but I truly doubt you will ever see a Power 5 school run it, and there's a reason for that.
  18. He was injured, isn't that what I just said and you highlighted? I was agreeing.
  19. I don't think anyone is saying this is the offense we want, I simply don't think that one works either. We have to be able to function both running and passing, when the situation calls for it. It's too easy for P5 defenses if you are one dimensional, as we have seen all year.
  20. Solich. He started this all by existing without really being an OC, getting old Tom to make him coach in waiting to not leave (wouldn't have missed a beat without him I suspect), and not letting the AD hire Bob Stoops when we had the chance. All downhill from there with a continued series of poor decisions and some not so great OCs.
  21. We have been trotting out a bloody TE to play QB, so on the bench for injuries? That's where. Sims is a head case, but I understand wanting to try him. Haarberg is not a QB, round peg in a square hole.
  22. That will never work in P5 football consistently.
  23. In the first half? I agree. Turnover on downs was huge for their mindset and momentum.
