  1. The matchup predictor is based mostly off of record. Using the eyeball test, Nebraska is trending up and Iowa is trending down. I would put that game as at least 50-50 because Iowa's offense is pitiful. MSU has a pretty bad offense also, and with that game in Lincoln I would put that at a minimum of 50-50 also. So the chance of 5-7 is much better than 5%. However, since you are talking bowls, the chance of that is very low, as even if the team finishes 5-7, there are several schools with better APR's than us this year I believe.
  2. He needs players, our LBs are terrible right now. I am giving the defense another year to take a leap forward. Spot on here. I think Brohm will leave and Purdue will fall back. I think Wisconsin's streak of being at the top is over, their D is no longer elite. If Nebraska gets a bit better on D they should rule the West in the coming years.
  3. The dude runs out of bounds as fast as he can. I hope a winter of weight training will help with his fear of contact, otherwise that kid won't be getting a majority of the carries next year and will always just be a change of pace.
  4. I would hope they force AJ to win by throwing the ball and that Illinois is forced to play from behind. I see the D getting a couple timely turnovers, so I will say 56-35. Still give up some rushing yards, but NU covers because of how many points the O scores.
  5. Which I took for granted until I visited Ohio State. For food, I just discovered Hop Cat in the Railyard downtown. The food was superb, and the beer was excellent. The Railyard is a great place to hang out Friday/Saturday night in general. I live in Denver also, the drive is about 7 hours, not bad at all. I typically like to stay within walking distance of the stadium/downtown if possible to enjoy the atmosphere the most.
  6. Conner Lillig Robert Pattinson Alec McEachern Conan
  7. I would keep an eye on Louisville. If they fire Petrino, Jeff Brohm would be candidate #1 since he was born there and it is his alma mater.
  8. I would agree with the statement of apathy in OSU fans this year. There was very little crowd involvement at the shoe Saturday. They were more interested in playing volleyball with a beachball early in the fourth with a one score lead. When NU took at lead at half, most just shrugged and Urban had to plead for noise on defense late in the game. No idea what will happen at the end of the year, but definitely felt like transition to me too.
  9. He is correct. The "The" is silent, just like their domestic abuse reporting policy.
  10. +50 to whoever suggested this, I already forgot who it was.
  11. I'm not worried about the offense in the slightest, I think Wandale is N. DB is a concern, but we are actually fairly deep on DL. Lose Newell who hasn't played, and Stolt who has been hurt. Defense is a concern yes, but Chin let it slip at half in a comment to reporter that they can't run what he wants to yet with where the kids are. Stuck in more zone than he'd like. A full year in the system and some new blood should help.
  12. I'm pretty sure you just jinxed Minny too. 14 points for IU in first 5 min of 4th.
  13. Why don't you just go with... we lost to Purdue by 14, and they crushed Ohio State by 29?
  14. It is not possible, no. Go back and hit the kool aid bottle some more.
  15. I understand the argument you are trying to make, but that describes a team award, or even a leadership award. They tout it as an award for the best college football player overall, but if you aren't surrounded by an undefeated team you have no chance. A guy might be a great leader, but didn't go to one of ten schools who can go undefeated. I agree gaudy stats don't simply mean best player. Does anyone outside of Alabama think Mark Ingram was really a better college football player than Suh in 2009?
  16. The Heisman is the biggest joke of an award college football has. It has nothing to do with the best player in the country these days, only who is good on the best team, and most of the time it's a quarterback even if they aren't the best player on their own team.
  17. I am with Mavric on this one. He opened himself up to questioing with his track record and behavior.
  18. If they drop a couple more games, lose to Michigan...he will have health issues and retire again for sure I believe. The preseason stuff just startes the snowball.
  19. NCAA tournament? What has that ever had to do with Nebraska?
