  1. Runs up the middle can concede immediate yards to soften the Defense for a bigger play. We keep running up the middle and then doing nothing to counter it...
  2. The energy in Memorial for NU was unbelievable. Michigan will be a new decibel level. If the Wolverines come in cocky, they're going to get punched in the mouth hard.
  3. Riley never went 13-0 in a season in his career. He’s a poor coach and was a terrible fit for us. How about we enjoy one of the most dominant wins from a Husker team in a long time? We all get the history and what is at stake. But when is the last time we looked this dominant where we can look to next week with real hope against a will-be top 10 (Michigan) squad? Enjoy what happened Saturday. The D has played 5 straight good games. The O played lights out against the Wildcats. We kicked an 84 yard punt?! Culp made 8 extra points (seeing the ball go through that many times can not be overstated as value for a struggling kicker). One step at a time. Saturday was a big one.
  4. Just watched every play after being out with the Mrs tonight missing it live. I AM SO DAMN PROUD OF THIS TEAM. This was the best game of Frost's NU tenure. The Offense was crisp. No mistakes. Best game from the O Line in a long time. Outstanding. Adrian was decisive, sharp through the air and running. Yant is smooth and powerful. Johnson is a beast of a blocker and is a nice compliment to Yant's power. Johnson as a lead block to Adrian as a keeper from the shotgun is a great play for guaranteed yards. The D was stout throughout. 37 yards given up on the ground. 84 yard punt. What?!? Penalties? What penalties? Very well done in the discipline department. Nothing killed us. My two favorite moments, however. 1. Frost at half, up 35-7, wasn't pleased. YES. NW isn't the goal. Championships are. Scott had fire. It carried over from recent prior games. Build. From. This. 2. Trev's and Scott's post game embrace. I want a unified office and team from here on out. Beat Michigan.
  5. That Luke to Kade combo would've been killer. To coaching careers and home sellouts.
  6. Watch Adrian turn out to be an All Pro once coach FUdusco is out of the way.
  7. He still needs to work on accuracy and quick decisions. League windows are tight with compressed time due to higher talent parity at elevated levels. Adrian's issues are more around how's he's been coached and headspace vs his raw abilities.
  8. I feel good about this one. Two performances in the last two weeks show me this team can show up in consecutive weeks. NW is not as good as MSU or OU, I see us winning by 10+. The O Line will look better in pass protect but the run may struggle some more. ST is like a bunch of drunk sorority girls so who knows.
  9. He doesn't really operate as a true CEO though. He neglects Special Teams, and his 3+ years have also shown he doesn't pay much attention the the D...that's Chin. Him focusing on the O Line is no problem with me. He's been oversight MIA on key team aspects already.
  10. We're so bad the difference between #1 and #3 is -16. The difference between #3 and #10 is -7. I've said it before, it's the worst ST I have ever seen in college. Any team. Ever.
  11. It would set us back $20 million. However, continued losing seasons will set us back similarly with empty seats and upset boosters. I'm torn as I see progress but also see the same issues. I really wanted Scott to be here for a long time and become a mainstay of dominance. We see the same issues over and over, however, and bad themes are coaching issues ultimately, not the players...systemic problems animate from the HC and staff. I wish it weren't the case but it's simply unavoidable.
  12. O Line and ST are horrendous. Absolutely trash. People look to Adrian for bail outs. Many times he can. Sometimes he can't and shouldn't. To be objective, Adrian missed some easy throws high to his Goliath TE, and he missed Levi on a seam route to score a TD the first play of OT. He needed to throw it. Our D would've kept them out of the end zone and we win. With a Jr High special teams we're not even in OT. With an O Line coach better than Austin, we're probably 4-1.
  13. Frost tried to keep him too happy by attempted manslaughter running him up the middle so much. Wandale decided he likes to live and transferred.
  14. With this ST unit, the amount of FG's, extra points, FIELD POSITION we lose, the O needs to score 30+ per game. Our D is doing well, the ST starts us in a 10-12 point deficit before the game starts. Trust me, they're good for it. It's the worst I have ever seen.
  15. Greg Austin breathes a sigh of relief with this take. The O Line is almost as bad as ST.
  16. You made my point. With Special Teams this horrendous, and you cannot overstate how bad they are, 20 and 16 points respectively is not enough to win. You need more points, especially when the D BALLED OUT today. We had a chance to win in regulation. Scott was scared. We had a chance to go up two scores when their D was completely demoralized. We could not do it. The O was simply not enough.
  17. No, with an all time terrible Special Teams, 20 points on the road is not enough. It is not. Stop saying it is. 16 points last week was not enough. It just isn't.
  18. He ended with 61 yards. 23 of them on their first run in OT.
  19. Up seven with the ball, their Defense tired. We needed to go down and score. We didn't and Special Teams made it special for the fans yet again. The O was not good.
  20. He had a good game. But being objective, he missed key reads including a 1st down TD in OT where Levi ran a seam route and was WIDE open. No throw.
  21. My point is the OU game clearly gave them next level confidence to play well enough to win. We lost, yes, but OU being "overrated' was a clear boost to our team.
  22. - The defense gave up 36 yards in the 2nd half and Overtime. Read that again. 36 yards. They were amazing. Chin is really earning his check. So are the other D coaches. - 2AM has a lot of heart, but his missed reads killed us today. And a few overthrows hurt too. I have grown to be a huge fan; I love his fight. But his play reflects... - Every coach not on the Defensive side is simply bad. Play calling, discipline, toughness, development...they're bad. - O Line is just awful. Couple that with Adrian struggling to read and fire fast...bad combo - Worst ST I've ever seen. Ever. Simply absolute atrocity. This team is better than last year. They fight hard. They just can't do it with this Staff. This loss was devastating, frankly. Unless they can build and win a couple they should not, there's no bowl chance. EDIT: I'm torn on the people that are calling for Frost's head. I liked the fire on the sideline today. And we are so damn close. Ambivalence is a b@#%!
