  1. Matt Campbell. Aims is a 3.5 hour drive from Lincoln. When Frost gets fired, we will not be paying him a dime. NU has enough evidence of 'breach of contract' with Frost to cut ties with him and never have to send him a single cent (will be tied up in the courts for a while and most likely settled for an anonymous nominal amount to end the lawyer fees). We then can back up the money truck to Matt and offer him 6-7 million a year easy and I highly doubt he turns it down. The Big 12 is going to soon lose its power conference standing and Matt Campbell will want to play in the big leagues. The dude can coach up a very solid team. Solid pass.
  2. Would love to get another shot at Colorado. Would be a nice 7th or 8th win for the season!
  3. 5 or less penalties. 1 or less turnovers. Throwing out to the flat 5 or less times. Running the ball when on the 5 yard-line or closer. Strategic use of TOs. Seeing new plays on offense.
  4. Once thought to be a phantom of our imagination, this newly formed Alliance will give the B1G, ACC and PAC new hope in defeating the ESPN/SEC empire menace. They must come up with a plan of attack quickly before ESPN/SEC strikes back with revenge.
  5. And a difference of 40+ million per year when our contract is renewed. The schools that are missing out on that kind of money will eventually be way behind the top programs.
  6. Because Vegas wants to hedge their bets and not lose a dime on this game.
  7. Just think if we had never left the Big 12 where we would be right now? OU and TX leave us in a destroyed conference (that they destroyed) and move onto a super conference while we are stuck in a lower tier conference akin to the MAC or American. Thank you again TO!
  8. Looks like the tables have turned in the monopoly game that has become College Football. I believe this gives The Alliance (SEC/ESPN are the Empire no doubt lol) a slight edge over the SEC (including OU and TX) in money and exposure. It is a very safe bet for these three conferences to come together without them having to fight to add more teams to compete individually with the Empire. We have also positioned ourselves to make the most money when it comes to renegotiating the TV contracts for the B1G and PAC. ACC will have to be stuck with their current contract for the near future. The Big 12 has been totally and completely skunked. A check in on how they are doing:
  9. https://bigten.org/sports/2021/8/23/GEN_0823214746.aspx "If a team is unable to participate in a scheduled Conference competition due to COVID-19 and as a result the competition is unable to occur on the calendar day on which it is scheduled, the competition shall be considered a forfeit by the team unable to participate and shall not be rescheduled. In such case, the team unable to participate shall be assessed a “loss,” its opponent a “win,” and Conference standings shall be adjusted accordingly." "If both of the two competing teams are unable to participate in a scheduled Conference competition due to COVID-19 and as a result the competition is unable to occur on the calendar day on which it is scheduled, and is unable to be rescheduled, the competition shall be considered a “no contest.”" Should of been the policy from the get go.
  10. I am just glad I don't have to write in the scores any more. Perhaps some insight into who is going to get the starting gig?
  11. You like losing? Please run me down a list of accomplishments by Scott Frost since he arrived at NU in 2018.
  12. I have a sinking feeling that this is all being done at the behest of the tippy top of NU. Moos being pushed out not to long ago reaks of a timely agenda. This now coming out weeks before the season starts via 'self reporting'. Why now? Why not wait until the season starts to minimize media/fan focus? Starting to look like this is all pre-planned by the uppers. They may very well have enough evidence to void their contract with Frost and not pay him a penny after letting him go. Would of had this evidence when they got video of him practicing with the team last summer at High School field during the covid lock-down. Breaking both NCAA rules and University rules would easily void his contract and would be bullet proof in court. Was probably a calculated move to see how Frost would fair in the covid season and as things were pretty much the same as the prior two years, the decision was made to move on. The only question now being when. I don't think this is just a Frost problem, but an athletic program problem as well. Trev was hired to clean house and clean house he will. Notice how nobody was proclaiming Trev was going to be the next AD? Perhaps the leakers were feed false info (Edward Stewart) to flush them out? If Trev was pre-selected long ago, you can bet your backside our next HC is also pretty much a done deal. With Frost trying to get out of the OU game and a wood shed experience coming whether we have Frost or not, I am willing to bet the top brass slow feed the fanbase the details of this scandal until the OU blowout loss and then after that game announce Frost is being let go. An interim coach would be selected to run the show the rest of the season and the newly already selected HC will be announced in the final week of the season.
  13. Students hurting other students (Baylor) is a tough thing to pin on the Baylor admin from a legal stand point for the NCAA. University admin hurting or putting into harms way students is much easier for the NCAA to go after and win if it was to go to the courts. In other words, we are low hanging fruit right now compared to the legal nightmare that is the Baylor situation. AND it hits the current hot topic of our times which is covid. Going after NU for this covid violation will make them look like a gleaming white knight in the eyes of many.
  14. When you are pulled over for speeding and 20 cars speed past you. Breaking the law is breaking the law. Are we sorry we broke the rules or are we sorry we got caught?
  15. I would go into detail on how every bit of what you just said is not true, but alas it is not worth my time. (Gen 6:4) There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. (Num 13:33) And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. (Deu 2:11) Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims. (Deu 2:20) (That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims; (Deu 3:11) For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man. (Deu 3:13) And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants. (Jos 12:4) And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei, (Jos 13:12) All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out. (Jos 15:8) And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward: (Jos 17:15) And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee. (Jos 18:16) And the border came down to the end of the mountain that lieth before the valley of the son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the south, and descended to Enrogel,
  16. The Nephilim were the offspring of fallen angels and women. The Bible calls them "renouned men of old" (Genesis 6:4). They were giants (just like the one David killed), they were far physically stronger/bigger than any man. The ones flying around in 'floating saucers' are fallen angels, not Nephilim.
  17. ESPN was reporting they have video of the NU practices that were occurring during the lock-down. Saw this on their bottom screen ticker. No article to reference just yet. I think everyone is underestimating this particular infraction and what the NCAA may do to NU to make everyone else never want to break their COVID restrictions. We could be made an example. On the up-side, IF Frost lays another rotten egg of a season which would be 4-5 wins (80% probability) and IF we have the NCAA make an example of us for "putting our student athletes in danger during the height of a pandemic" (50% probability). THEN we get to basically part ways with Frost and not owe him a dime per his contractual agreement to follow NCAA guidelines/rules.
  18. Agreed. This game is absolutely CRITICAL to our Bowl hopes and any premonition of keeping Frost around. We need to go into the OU game 3-0. The Michigan State and Northwestern games right after are winnable. Going into the home Michigan game 5-1 would be perfect.
  19. Illinois has more starters returning than anyone else in our division. Illinois blew us out AT HOME last year 41-23 (only other blow out loss was OSU). Illinois game is an away game...Frost is 3-10 in B1G away games. Bret Bielema knows how to play B1G football and be successful. Most everybody has been able to out-coach Frost, I am sure Bret will add his name to that list.
  20. Bob just bought a used car for $10,000! The care immediately breaks down while driving off the lot. Bob gets it repaired for the cost of $2,000. Bob tries to drive the car home but it breaks down again, costing Bob another $3,000. Bob then takes the car out for a day trip and after the first mile it stalls. Bob has it towed to the repair shop and the mechanics bill is $5,000 to get it running again. Bob then tries to drive home and it breaks down again and has it towed again. The bill comes in and it is a whopping $3,000. Bob pays the bill. Then Bob takes the car out for a drive around town and it begins to smoke. Bob has it towed and the bill to get it fixed is $4,000. Bob pays the bill and.... Story Key: Bob = NU used car = Frost At what point do you realize you have a LEMON and move on?
  21. I don't think people here understand the severity of this violation in the eyes of the Ministry of COVID. Of which I am sure some of the NCAA brass are a member. I think we could be facing some very serious penalties with practicing when told to stop by the NCAA during the height of COVID. As already pointed out we will be getting a slap on the wrist for the extra analyst at practices, but the other violation....the sky is the limit to these people when it comes to punishment.
