  1. No I’m saying they had elite athleticism but their shortcomings prevented them from being elite players.
  2. They’re certainly -our- most athletic, but when you look around the college football landscape it’s clear they’re not in the same echelon of other talents at skill position. Look at Ameer. Great player. Great Husker. But he had problems with ball control that probably led to him being a “diamond in the rough” find. Taylor. One of my more favorite players in Nebraska history. Electric talent and great potential. But there’s a reason why there were question marks around him. Some teams can can afford not to play the risk/reward game. We can’t and we haven’t much payoff
  3. Because they continually recruit and play lesser talent.
  4. Anything we say is a guess. Maybe those are all the plays they have in that scheme. Maybe its was just a mix in to set up something else. Maybe it was scripted in the whole time. Maybe they knew the game was over. I did know the minute I saw those plays that there would be much discussion.
  5. That’s exactly what they did. Day finally decided play time was over, called timeout and the drive ended the next play because they put pressure on Martinez
  6. Says the guy who put Minnesota in a tier below us
  7. Well nothing lasts forever, and we both know hearts can change. Nothing lasts forever, even cold April Wine rain
  8. What about Roughly Speaking?
  9. So I’m curious about how the actual band thinks, is your favorite album Nature of The Beast? Because personally I’m a fan of Electric Jewels
  10. I believe they were rationed in the War. Some never re-adjusted
  11. Can’t wait for the first time a tackle wrecks their announcing table
  12. It's a heartwarming story but it's just not believable, which is why I don’t support this California bill and why I gave E.T. one and a half stars
  13. Tier three includes an undefeated team that will likely still be undefeated and favored against us when we go to Minneapolis to play them. I declare these tiers faulty at best.
  14. I for one think we should continue to pay our coach in the top three of the conference and scoff that we should expect that to mean we are a top three team in our conference.
  15. If they can recruit, I want them here, also I don’t think Napier is long for the head coaching world. But that’s my point. Find people like him.
  16. I mean I have a few sure. Kendall Briles, Billy Napier, but maybe the guy knocking down five million should have a list?
  17. Uh, no. Just one on the line. And the way this staff talked, well they shouldn’t have regressed. And they have.
  18. We should hire Chris Ash

Maybe we can get Ryan Day?

Can we do the Saban thing and just hire him as an analyst? I swear Bama is the School for Wayward coaches, but it works for them!

And pay him$100,000 and make Rutgers pay the $7.9 million balance

  19. Completely agree that development is important. But it isn’t like Ohio st is teeming with seniors up front or even starting.
  20. This is part of the problem. Thats a lie. I saw tweets, footage, and posts on other boards about how the s&c was different now under the past regime. Like you always do. The “THEY WERENT EVEN DOING SQUATS LOL” narrative was utterly false. The accountability was certainly substandard, but to pretend that Nebraska was basically a 40’s team conditioning wise is a convenient lie
  21. Look if we’re bad I guess I can deal but if they start peeing themselves out there it’s a bad look.
  22. Nebraska hasn’t recruited at a level they’ve needed to for a chance to meet our expectations for the better part of two decades. The reason why is because outside of a few outliers in the Callahan era, it hasn’t been a priority. That absolutely has to end. As of right now we still have a G5 staff that aren’t all closers. We need to follow the Dabo Sweeney model and get a group of assistants and coordinators who are worth their money and all nails at getting kids to sign. Once that happens, we can talk development. Until then expect more of the same, middling teams that get crushed against the big boys while we look wistfully at the good times.
  23. Taylor was always faster than Adrian, it was Adrian’s other attributes that potentially made him elite. They appear to have gone away
