  1. I actually believe if we traded OL & LBs with Wisconsin we'd be pretty damn good, with a more diverse offensive scheme
  2. I'm no expert at evaluating film, but I'm very excited about this kid. Very well be our best RB from the time he steps foot on campus
  3. Regardless of record, Frost will have had the more successful first 2 seasons, because he's laying a foundation that a competitive program will be built on. Riley did not.
  4. I've been saying this staff deserves at least 1 more year together. After today I'm probably leaning toward canning Chins. How many times today did we let their best WR isolate our LBs and end up wide open... no adjustments... terrible.
  5. I don't disagree with your take. But i will add also that our veteran players learned losing habits & had sh!t S&C for the first 2-3 yrs of their career
  6. It's unreal how bad the NW offense is. We think we're frustrated with our offense.....
  7. We will see Sounds like AM is suited and ready
  8. I agree. He needs to be a bell cow these last 5 games
  9. We've got a banged-up team that is likely very short on confidence at the moment, and Indiana who is playing well this year is coming to town as a couple Point favorite in this game. There are two main ways to win a game. 1) score more points than the other team 2) hold the other team to less points than you score Aside from those, what are going to be the main keys for victory today in your eyes? I'll start. 1. Run the ball well on offense 2. Stop the run on defense - force predictable 3rd downs 3. Be mentally tough - this will likely be a close game, so the guys must be ready to play a full game with intensity I think if we do those three things, we will win the game. To add one more point, I would say it would be nice to win the turnover battle as well.
  10. The offense regressed as a result of graduating 4 productive Sr players (2 OL) and replacing them with young, unproven players who are still figuring things out. As far as defense, until our LBs don't play like crap, that unit will never be very good.
  11. A. Davis and Tannor are rarely asked to cover receivers & TEs. They're basically a 4th DL
  12. Thank God the coaches are less emotional than a majority of the posters here LOL... Good Lord... If this feels like rock bottom and your mental/emotional state is fragile from this season, I'd suggest you take a breath, maybe take a break from football for a bit, spend time with family, maybe puff some reefer... Whatever it will take for you to calm your sh!t and let Frost do the job he was hired to do. This year is far from a product that he wants/is going to put on the field in the near future. NE football has as much upside as it has in almost 20 years right now - it's gonna be a fun ride, so don't get so bent out of shape that you can't enjoy it.
  13. I don't know enough about the coaches, how they operate day to day, what they're asking the players to do, etc to answer that. If you're going off pure on field performance, the biggest positions that worry me would be LB & OL. OL is young with some square pegs, so i think that will get better but will just take time. The LB play deeply concerns me, and if we're seeing the same things in 2 years, Frost will have to make a move on his defensive staff.
  14. I get excited watching Morrison's highlights. That guy could be the best of the bunch down the road
  15. Just went and saw the joker... maybe I'm just not a batman fan, but i don't get the hype...

I thought it was amazing, a real character driven movie about the descent into madness.

Hmmm, the Joker must be a former poster.

  16. Stille is a better option than any of our OLBs outside of maybe JoJo to have on the field anyways...
  17. This team desperately needs the extra month or so of practices that come with making a bowl game. Gotta get 2, and we need to get the first on Saturday
  18. The idea that Michigan fans are dissatisfied with what Jim Harbaugh has done is ridiculous. The 2 coaches before him were complete dumpster fires, and expecting more than what JH has accomplished there each and every year is utterly unreasonable. He hasn't beaten Ohio State yet, but very few teams have... I'm with a few others here. Scott Frost is the guy. He's an exciting young coach, the last QB to win a national title here, and has proven his upside both on the field and in recruiting. If he can't bring this program to 9+ win seasons and compete for conference championships, i don't know if anyone can here anymore...
  19. I remember one thing Bo did every year in fall camp that I liked - about 2-3 wks in, he'd scold them through the media for a bad practice and/or lack of focus. I definitely think things like that can have a boot-in-the-a$$ effect on a team. My observation of Frost is that he has those conversations with the team, but not outwardly through the media.
  20. If Mills can be a work horse and carry the ball 25-30 times a game, that's fine. At this point, I hope the staff realizes that they need to pull the redshirt off Rahmir Johnson. We need that change of pace back to compliment Mills.
  21. Patriots trade a 2nd Rd pick for Mohamed Sanu. Say what you will about the Pats, but the level of football, management, scheme, etc that they exhibit every single year is remarkable
  22. Insufficient evidence to say anything like this, and his story is hopefully not over. I'm pulling for the guy
