  1. I just hope maybe we can get the kid an NIL deal and talk him into sticking around. Most exciting freshman we've had here in 4-5 years.
  2. It is rather unfortunate we let the NW game slip away. We would at least have a chance (albeit very unlikely) to make a run in the west if we could win these next couple games. At least gives us some straws to grasp at for a while.
  3. I agree that this year was almost setup to be a failure. Although I don't blame Alberts because I believe his hands were tied and didn't have a lot of options. As you said this season is already completely screwed which is incredibly frustrating as a fan. I also wouldn't blame the players for feeling a little betrayed at this point, it could be a real challenge to keep these guys on board the rest of the way.
  4. Probably somebody like Sean Dillon would be my guess as he’s been with Frost since he was at UCF. A lot of the others that would report to Mickey are fairly new to the program so not sure who else is on the chopping block.
  5. Steve Taylor on 93.7- “There are some more decisions that need to be made, with people that are toxic down there from my conversations with him (Mickey) and have been toxic for a long time and we’ll see if a Mickey makes those decisions as well…” It seems that more changes are definitely possible. Not sure that it’s going to translate to the win column this year but Mickey may just clean house now and try to flip the culture sooner rather than later.
  6. Probably going to get rough on the recruiting front until a head coach is named.
  7. Love his posts of guys squatting 800 pounds of guys squatting with crappy form. It translates really well to the field.
  8. Agree, was never a fan of bringing Dawson back either.
  9. Thank god!! Duval is trash
  10. Nice points. I didn’t realize Temple had strung together some good seasons before he got there.
  11. Rhule has turned around not one, but two programs that were in the absolute $s#!tter, similar to where we are now. Campbell seems that he may have peaked at Iowa State. Contrarily, Rhule won 10 games with Temple and left for a better job, then did the same at Baylor. I think it’s reasonable to believe Rhule may have surpassed the accomplishments Campbell had at ISU had he stayed there. For the record I’m not saying I personally prefer one to the other but I could see how Rhule would be viewed as the better hire.
  12. My gut feeling is Rhule is our #1 realistic target.
  13. Might have a chance to beat Indiana, Rutgers, and Iowa I don’t see any other wins on the schedule. Even those are hopeful at best but surely we can pull at least one or two out.
  14. Thank you for the answer. So would you say that despite some deficiencies along the line, that with proper coaching and preparation that we could play much better offensively? When I look at how quick Nick Gates and Farniok were able to play in the NFL after not looking that great here tells me that even though our line looks putrid that the right coach could make them look night and day better.
  15. Is it that or is it possibly the execution is that much better on the initial drive?
  16. With Frost as coach we’ve scored on our first drive of the games high percentage of the time. Why do we do so well on our “scripted drives” but often stumble the rest of the game. To me that tells me we have athletes but other teams simply do a better job of a adjusting than we do but I’m curious how others interpret it. Just blows my mind that we can look so good on the first drive and then not sniff the end zone again.
  17. I think we should change the thread title to "who could we convince to be our next HC".
  18. I thought we'd be able to sell a team with a lot of quality players that haven't been getting put in position to win. After the last two games I'm more convinced that this is basically a complete rebuild. We're possibly going to have to convince a coach to try and come and take over a 2-10 team with horrible lines on both sides of the ball. Which sucks because I'd argue it'd be easier to pluck a couple skill players from the portal but it takes years to build quality and depth on the lines. It just seems that the extra year of keeping Frost and this staff is going to set us back for years regardless of who comes in next.
  19. I only caught a little bit of the game. Enough to see a classic Adrian fumble and another chance for a 4th quarter drive to be a hero that fell short. Classic Adrian. I truly feel that we got an upgrade with Thompson at the most important position yet we're so much worse. Although a QB run game might have at least kept the defense on their toes a bit, they just teed of on CT.
  20. Chinander is probably checked out. He knows he’ll never be retained and will have to take a major step down to get another job.
  21. Disagree. He provides a ton of good insight and got kicked off for not being a sunshine pumper. He has questioned Frost and his staff for years alluding to numerous issues along the way but nobody wanted to hear it. He spoke his opinion and in my opinion has been right about pretty much everything all the way. All while never diving into any of the off the field rumor crap, which is what he specified that he never said anything about. You’re twisting his words
