  1. Black helmet with red N for this one game sounded tight... cant believe i said that.. but it's all good
  2. You can play hurt... you cannot play injured. If he's banged up, he'll be out there playing Saturday.
  3. No biggie... just total confidence.. the team needs to get behind him on that, have a great week of practice, and play their best on Saturday. The Badgers are real good. They have the W on their helmet.. We'll have the W when the game is over.
  4. Good to hear.. hey whatever happened to Dontrayveous Robinson? I forget if he transfered and where he ended up at...
  5. I think SUH should talk to him, staying turned out better for him. Amen brotha...
  6. The new Chelada (Bud Light & Clamato) is suprisingly good. Its a red beer already mixed. After a few of those tall cans I'll switch over to Coors Light in a pint... everything taste better in a frozen pint glass

    texas game

Any and all fake FG or punts pretty much went out the window after that bizzaro INT during the CU game. Man that sucked eggs. Who knows what UT will try. Mack Brown will def be barking in official's ears all game long. I'd put my money on that.
  8. Pretty sure Texas converted a 4th down against Rice on a tough QB sneak... They could show that clip
  9. Here's what I think: Mack Brown is 12-0 in the first game after OU... Flush that down the toilet Mack Brown is 7-1 against the Huskers... Flush that down the toilet Texas is 3-2 this year and on the verge of an identity crisis, and the Huskers are playing together as well as any of the top three teams in the country. Doesnt matter if UT goes up early 10-0 for whatever reason, when the dust settles the Huskers will win by more than 4 touchdowns. BANK IT
  10. There are things that could be worse beanman.. Just be glad you are not this guy ^^^^^ HA..J/K..No offense BRPWagon.. but bro, WTH?! I know it must be last minute stuff.. Will def watch and have a several cold adult beverages for you and beanman! HUSKER POWER BROTHAS!!!
  11. not a bad RAH RAH article.. +1 to everyone's comments
  12. Oh i get it... this team is really up in arms. I'll take our team, its ability, game plan and swagger over their "back to the drawing board" approach. Should be fun
  13. I dont know about Sam but his brother LB Emmanuel Acho said this about Martinez & the Huskers: "It's another game, it's another team, he's another quarterback. He's a good player, I'll leave it at that, but it's nothing that if we play to Texas standards that we should be too worried about." http://www.chron.com...as/7244085.html
  14. Changing the helmet would be stupid. The example even looks redonculous, and like several said - just like Wisconsin, Missouri, etc.. All reds - I dont mind. Someone can find a pic of Taylor in spring game wearing all red, looked kind of cool.
  15. They did do a great job most definitely. But they had no other choice. Just go back to the previous game against SDSU. The receivers, the o-line, RBs, QB, the focus and effort across the board had to be addressed. So glad it did. Big difference in a matter of one/two weeks. Wake up call served a great purpose
  16. My personal view.. I think we ate a lot of humble pie when we got ripped apart in so many games over the years. Other than die-hard Husker haters, what we went through to get back to national coverage is easier to embrace then if we had a run of 2-3-4 loss seasons. Man I wish I could have hibernated through those years, but thats why it feels so good to win lately. Just have to keep an arms distance from all the hype.
  17. My issue was def IE 6.0, which I have on my work laptop so thats going to suck. But everything running on my personal laptop, Firefox 3 dot whatever-they-keep-upgrading-it-to-these-days.. is working perfectly. So thats awesome news.. Thanks AR/Fellas
  18. I promise you I will! If we're playing you in a 2012 bowl game, it's probably for the championship, or at the least it's in a BCS game. Keep in mind that we're probably going to the freaking Independence Bowl this year. I hate football. You have NO idea (on how bad things really can be). Playing UT in the MCG would be friggin sweet. Doesnt matter who college football fans follow, because everyone would tune in for that game! I just hope we never have to meet in the Holiday or Insight Bowl.. cause that would mean we both underachieved (or "sucked")
  19. True or false: The ball landed out of bounds with one second left. You know it's true. Cornhuskers can't even argue that the wrong call was made. Some of you would rather have had the timekeeper's mistake stand so you could benefit from it, but you all know they got the call right in the end. So it wasn't the Big XII who rigged it, it was the NCAA who rigged it using Big XII officials? That's some conspiracy. When did they decide it would be Texas and Bama in the championship? When both were still unbeaten by midseason? At the beginning? Man, I sure would've expected us to get some calls in College Station when Texas A&M was giving us a hell of a fight. Turns out we got called for 6 penalties to their 5. I guess the NCAA just knew we'd pull that one out. And in the CCG, why did the refs make us take over a possession at the 1 yard line when the returner's knee hit down even though he was muffing the catch and didn't have possession? I guess they have to make it look good, right? Come on. Put the X Files conspiracy stuff away, bro. No fair, that's a trick question! There was .01 left for sure had it been called that way on the field before we thought we actually had finally won. Besides, dude made a high pressure kick and that was all that really mattered in the end. No conspiracy here, it was a great game despite us losing. We represented, yall beat us. Its Texas week man.. I just have to beef up the Huskers/Horns talk some, vent a little 1-8 frustration or whatever its been lately, and take some jabs. Come on hook'em.. I'll buy you a beer. And then I'll buy you a few more once we are up by 14, 21, 28, etc...
  20. i appreciate that. i really do. after all of the helpful, informative responses, i was starting to get annoyed, tired of waiting for a worthless and sarcastic response. thank you for providing that for me. I'll be honest. I have no idea where the love affair with Compton has come from. I can only guess it was because he was supposed to be the field general this year. I don't recall at what point he became this seasoned veteran. A few posts up noted that Dillard was an animal last year and that poster couldn't have been more dead on. Once Dillard established himself against VT last year, Compton rarely saw the field. I felt like the biggest question mark on the defense going into this year was who going to replace Dillard and not who was going to replace Suh. We are now at the point were David has more experience than Compton. Not to mention that David appears to be one of the most explosive line backers on defense in a while. He is clearly one of the best linebackers in the conference. I wish Compton the best of luck and I am happy that he will add depth, but if David comes off the field for anything except an injury, I will have to pull my fist out of my TV. I think Compton adds some depth and that should help. Most players seem to improve from first year to second & maybe that's where some expectations come from. I think its good news he will be out there. Def dont think his legs will be ready for a full game. Should see him out there, maybe a few mistakes like everyone has done in their first game, but overall he will also help make some plays particularly in the run game. He was no hot shot last season, but as I said, the expectation of another year in the system and being his second year and all, he should contribute nicely.
  21. This is the first I've of anyone being upset about Jerryworld being added to the rotation. That was about money, as it seats tens of thousands more people. LOL at Texas being behind that. And as for Austin being a mere three hours from Arlington, so is Norman. So why isn't anyone accusing the conference of "taking care of the Sooners"? I've heard this argument before, but only from people who don't know what they're talking about. ALL of the BCS bowls paid $17 million last year, including the championship game. So if the conference was actually rigging games for the sake of money, they would have rigged it for Nebraska, not us. Then NU gets the auto bid as conference champs and we get an at-large BCS bid as a one-loss team and the conference gets two 17 million dollar paydays instead of one. Hellooooooooo. good points of opinion... Say, wasnt the replay official guy a UT grad? I forget.. because that would be reaching for straws for an unbiased reason to put .01 back on the clock since that stuff happens at the end of most games <cough>. Regardless, say what you will about multi-Big 12 BCS payout days... What really mattered was that little ol' TCU would have been playing Alabama instead of Texas for all the marbles. Its foolish to think that was going to happen.. if there was some way to stop it? Just so happens the replay official made it possible to add the extra .01 for a FG try. Niiice...
  22. Thats cool.. We still do the Visitor clap thing when the team leaves, dont we?
