  1. And again you show your propensity for revisionist history. 2008 - Lost to #7 Texas Tech 37-31 in OT 2009 - Lost to #13 Va Tech 16-15, Beat #20 Oklahoma 10-3, Lost to #3 Texas 13-12, Beat #22 Arizona 33-0 2010 - Beat #17 Oklahoma St. 51-41, Beat #7 Missorui 31-17, Lost to #18 Texas A&M 9-6, Lost to #10 Oklahoma 23-20 2011 - Beat #9 Michigan St. 24-3, Beat #12 Penn St. 17-14 2012 - Lost to #22 UCLA 36-30, Beat #20 Michigan 23-9 Oh but what a story there is beneath the cherry picking. how exactly is that cherry picking? you dont need the blowouts to prove the point being made, which is a counterpoint to bo losing against the best teams on the schedule. or are these teams now not considered part of the best teams on the schedule since they dont follow the "bo gets blownout against the best teams" agenda? you can try to paint them as exceptions to the rule but, i dont think there are enough blowouts for them to be considered exceptions.
  2. thought they just slid notes under doors for that.
  3. Dont fool yourself though. 99% of Nebraska fans wanted Bohl gone. 99% of us wanted Watson gone too. That includes you and me. That's the really interesting part in it all, yes? But still, they were successful after leaving Nebraska. Hell look at what Solich has done with Ohio. Just because they weren't successful at Nebraska doesn't mean they won't be successful somewhere else. the solich horse has been beaten way too long so i wont say anything about him other than i feel he would have been fine given more time after overhauling the staff. bohl, it has been stated numerous times that some people arent cut out to be coordinators and some arent cut out to be head coaches. as for watson, he could not have walked into a better situation. he was given a first round qb to use and then he gets to call plays in the acc. we'll see what he does without the golden net.
  4. i want to see video of that play. that is some serious athleticism if he is running full speed then jump that high while turning around. color me impressed either way.
  5. compare and contrast scott frost's OC experience with time beck's. and looking further into your post you just want former NU coaches/players to form the staff.
  6. It's amazing how you waited to come around when the game started going badly.................if you're one of those guys I'm warning ya it isn't gonna last long. he is.
  7. wow, kinda harsh to say he is gonna die on the job. and a little advice, build a bridge and get over it. there's no need to hold so much contempt for the head coach of the supposed school you root for.
  8. I think there's definitely something to this. There's something to be said for Urban Meyer's decision to go for two against Buffalo on their first two TDs. Buffalo was way overmatched so he came up with something to make it interesting. Got the payers' attention and they ended up winning far more comfortably than Nebraska. If you know you're just going out there and going through the motions, motivation can be an issue. oh, that's just classless. all kidding aside, the thinking the other team is just gonna roll over for them has to extend into the coaching ranks as well. how else do you explain the offensive play calling? you dont have to be 100% vanilla and still hide the vast majority of your offense. call the plays to put the game out of reach then use your backups.
  9. What gesture? really? i didnt watch a whole game on saturday and yet in the 73 seconds of highlights i saw, i saw his autograph gesture. or did he have multiple that you wanted clarification on which one?
  10. What's with all the sig pics and avatars of Bo screaming? You'd think as fans of NU we'd want those images to go away and not persist.

    1. NUance

      NUance

That, and he really doesn't scream *that* much any more. About a tenth as much as four or five years ago.

  11. wait, he's classless for trying to build a 16 point lead after just 2 drives? the nerve of that guy trying to basically end the game quickly.
  12. damn, had me excited they finally brought back football.
  13. no green day to listen to while reading?
  14. It's been proven time and again that it is better to lose early than late in college football. This is the reason the SEC schedules games with FCS schools late in the year. So if they lose earlier, they have a cupcake at the end to make up for it while everyone else is playing conference games. playing a cupcake can only hurt you no matter when the game is played. bama beating that cupcake didnt help them move up in the rankings, they only moved because the two teams ahead of them lost. now had they played poorly against cupcake u and teams behind them played well against superior conference or non-con opponents then there is a possibility of being leapfrogged by them. yes, losing early is better than losing late because you can make up the positions you dropped over time whereas late you dont have that luxury and have to rely on teams ahead of you losing to gain the spots back. and it is imperative you continue winning regardless of who you are playing.
  15. they were going to do that regardless unless they dropped down a level.
  16. the coaches also have a year's worth of film instead of one game to work from too. so the players should be better prepared for some of the stuff they'll try.
  17. Iowa. wait, what? i must be missing the sarcasm because they are absolutely horrible after they lose.
  18. aren't they also in the middle of effing up the taxes there, gradually eliminating the income tax? and whatever rock, chalk, gayhawk wants, they get since they are the flagship university of the state of kansas. yes, KU has effed over at least one other university in the state. so doing it again probably wouldnt be a thing.
  19. had he been able to take more partial qualifiers and prop 40-whatevers when they had them, he might not have been as dependent on JUCO's. and when you have one of the better JUCO leagues in the same state, you might as well utilize it.
