  1. They opened another Runza in Colorado. Longmont this time

  2. Curse these Dots pretzels.

  3. Has anyone gone to a drive-in movie since quarantine kicked in?

  4. Prince would have been 62 today.

  5. Who is the last 2020 scholarship for? Per this article, there's one scholarship left (and it cites Nadab Joseph as a target), but it seems to imply that Spielman's scholarship would be open as well.

Who would that be for? A current walk-on given a final-year scholarship for his hard work? A recruit?

  9. How many masks do you have?

I have three, all made for me by friends/family. One super heavy one with Star Wars art on the front and flannel on the inside, one with some new-age looking art pattern that's mostly orange, and one more bright orange one with ties instead of elastic bands.

  10. Smoked some shrimp today.  Dry rub of your choice.  Then melt about 2 sticks of butter, worcestershire sauce, and lemon...Pour it in the foil pan with the shrimp.  Smoke at 250 for about 25-30 minutes.  Eat the shrimp and get a loaf of French Bread to dip in the sauce...UNREAL

Made pizza from scratch with the kids. Amazing crust. It's a fair amount of work, but with being home so much and needing to entertain the kids, it's a good thing to do right now.

I don't understand why anyone would eat out. Can you not get curbside everywhere at this point?

  13. Why does Ford choose the least friendly design in every capacity when it comes to automotive maintenance in the f150? Good lord.

@ZRod there are of course expensive parts in an electric vehicle, but it's mostly the battery. Motors are not that expensive when compared to an internal combustion engine or transmission.

But in general electric vehicles have fewer maintenance requirements and lower maintenance costs: https://avt.inl.gov/sites/default/files/pdf/fsev/compare.pdf

  14. Is ten thousand smackaroos too many smackaroos to pay for a 2nd story deck (composite decking)?

I think that's a decent deal. If you want an idea of the material costs, I've used this lumber yard that specializes in decks: https://thedecksuperstoreportal.epicoranywhere.com/products.aspx?direction=desc&searchText=&pg=0&sort=Relevance

Just keep in mind that the labor does require some skill and knowledge. I've built a couple decks and it's a lot of work.

The high maintenance requirements and costs of most cars is one of the reasons I think electric vehicles and new companies like Tesla are going to slowly take over the auto market. The legacy dealership model is dependent on charging for repairs, and people just hate that.

  16. Is Chili & Cinnamon Rolls Nebraska's "signature dish?"

    1. RedDenver

      RedDenver

No. I grew up in Omaha and Lincoln and had never heard of cinnamon rolls with chili.

  17. Name a movie that you think should/could be remade, next person agree or disagree and then pick yours.  I will start

I'd be in favor of a satirical Atlas Shrugged remake.

The Last Starfighter!! I loved that movie as a kid. Definitely should remake that, especially since video games are much more common than just the arcade.

I'd like to see a good remake of The Thing. Unfortunately, I think they'd mess it up, but it's got a great plot if someone could do it justice.

  18. Orange juice is superior to apple and grape juice. Come at me, fellow kids.

    1. RedDenver

Apple and grape mixed easily better than orange alone. Orange-mango is better though.

My mother-in-law is a nurse in Denver and she had an antibody test as has most (all?) of the staff at her hospital.
