I actually feel like last season was 1991 and this season is shaping up to be 1992 where we're underrated and have a good but not great season leading into 1993's title run. It also matches up by years 1991=2011, 1992=2012, 1993=2013.

Coincidentally (rolling eyes) that was the last time we won a conference title. We actually had attacking defenses until 2007 by my recollection. They just weren't always good at it.

Coach Kaz never says we're going away from the 2-gap system: “We try not even to say two-gap anymore.” Sounds to me like we're still running Bo's 2-gap scheme but trying to be more aggressive while doing it.

I'm guessing Bo is upset with the recent stories of blaming Cotton by reading between the lines of what Moore's father is and isn't saying. Here's one by Sip entitled "Fair or not, scrutiny on Cotton intensifies" where he speculates that Klachko leaving wasn't Barney's fault but Moore leaving was Cotton. Nothing more in there than the Moore thread from this board.

The guys he hires, he trusts, he feels like they make great choices, like they are "all that and a bag of chips" he wants to find out if their wives are the "total package" hot and have a great personality. He is implying that he already knows they will have great personalities and be great people, he just wants to find out if they are hot too. Yeah, I don't think that's what he was saying based on before he decides. Either way, it's still completely stupid. Think about him hiring or not hiring a young Tom Osborne based on how Nancy looks. yes I doubt Bo runs the 3-4 as more than a specialty package (e.g. the Spinner). I think we're heading towards what USC ran under Carroll with the hybrid DE/LB which allowed them to run a base 4-3 with elements of the 3-4 without changing personnel. Bo essentially did the same thing with the Peso as a LB/DB hybrid running the 4-3 with elements of the 4-2-5.

I think the talk of TM's improved passing is both overly optimistic and overly valued. I agree with the BTN crew that we'll win and lose based on his running much more than his passing.
