  1. Someone needs to light a fire under the D's ass. I think they've heard how good they are all off season that they bought into it. Also, let's not forget that we're breaking in 2 new coaches and that may be leading to some issues as the coaches themselves adjust to the scheme.
  2. Come on guys, the logistics are simple: Freson St beat North Dakota who beat South Dakota in 2009 who beat Minnesota in 2010 who beat Iowa in 2010 who beat Michigan in 2010 who beat Notre Dame in 2011 who beat Utah in 2010 who beat BYU in 2010 who beat Wyoming in 2010. Therefore, we beat Wyoming this Saturday.
  3. That when we're up by 20 with 10 minutes left the coaches call the game like it's already over. Had a chance to finish the game and the coaches blew it.
  4. What happened to do doing the Husker Power cheer in between 3rd and 4th quarters? That always seemed to get the crowd going.

Yeah, nobody likes that chant...it would've been a cool idea if they didn't think of something as stupid as Can't be Beat...won't be beat crap

  5. Those directions from The Maudfather sound like they get you to Omaha, not Lincoln, From what I gathered to go to Lincoln, take I-29 to St. Joe, take 36 HWY west to Hiawatha (there's road construction on 36 west of there) take 73 north to Falls City, then take 75 to NE City, then 2 west to Lincoln. I've heard two different accounts of the construction on 36, one bad and one said no big deal. KDOT says it is working on two bridges and traffic is down to one lane on each bridge so you are likely to have to wait some. How long that is, I have no idea. If 75 is that bad, you could take I-70 to Manhattan and take 77 north to Lincoln, though there is construction on 70 too. I've never come in from the south on 77 so I don't have any idea how game day traffic will be. Though I think you said you were coming up earlier so that may not matter. Hope this helps. I'd be tempted to take 75 to 136 to Ne-50 to Ne-2. Maudfather's way is the best to Omaha.
  6. I hated the long commercial breaks. Could just be me, and I was fortunate enough to be at the game, but between series it seemed the TV guy was standing on the field forever.
  7. Did anyone else notice Johnny Rodgers wearing a hat signed by Johnny Rodgers?

Hahaha I wondered about that! I got a sig from him for my Dad a few years back, and when I saw him on the sidelines, I thought...is that his?! Good observation!

  8. This is your best and closet place to go. The pizza is amazing.
  9. Well since everyone has mentioned the O-line and running backs I'll say something different: I want to see what our receivers can do. If they can block, run good routes, get open and catch the damn football.
  10. Try it. For the price it's a very good vodka. My buddy is a wine distributor and loves the stuff.

  12. Golf. Won't watch golf or tennis, but I find myself checking more tennis scores.
  13. 31st and Troost, around 1:30am. Not a good place to be.
  14. Not sure it's the best way, but this is the route I took: 1. Ne-50 South to US-136 (in Tecumseh) 2. US-136 to US-75 South (in Auburn) 3. US-75 to US-73 4. US-73 to US-36 5. US-36 to I-229 6. I-229 to I-29 I took this route for several reasons: 1. Obviously I-29 being closed north of Rock Port 2. Construction on US-75 between Omaha and Nebraska City 3. Bridge down to one lane on US-136 in Brownville 4. US-159 closed east of Rulo Drive time was 3h40m, leaving from west Omaha to Olathe. There was no construction and very little traffic until US-36 (that's where you'll run into dumb Missouri and JoCo KS drivers who can't drive a two lane highway). Speed limits were either 60 or 65 mph.
  15. Any word on baseball assistant coaches? Heard Bolt's name last week.
