  1. Once the refs (for both sides) decided to swallow their whistles we actually had a good game to watch. So many “play is under review” and “upon replay” it was boring and sucked any play by actual f’ing players out of the game. Glad the refs made 2nd half adjustments and let them play. defense is so aggressive and good but only can be asked to do so much. The other team had it really dialed in and out-called us a few times 2nd half. But we responded well also. we are finally f’ing competitive. Finally. 3 top 10 teams to the wire which we could’ve (should’ve) won. These games woulda been blowouts in yrs prior. we absolutely have turned the corner. With AM back next season and fully depthed out, I honestly feel like we could be in the playoffs w a conference championship to show for it.
  2. Every game this season we been competitive, win or lose the game before. Illinois really stings now, but our team has been competitive against 3 top 10 teams. Coulda maybe won each one. Been a long long time since we were in these games. I’m so confident of our team right now.
  3. We good. Patience is a virtue
  4. He comes back next year for sure.
  5. No one should shank a punt 7 yds. That’s player no one should false two times in row. That’s player. no one should punt it against coverage. That’s player. This was not a poorly called game, there were terrible gaffes by players. do I think Frost needs to make changes? Yes. But this one wasn’t on him. Several plays by players on the field to do their job didn’t do them. We did NOT get outcoached.
  6. This wasn’t on Frost. He called a good game. Players have to execute. The last route by #3 was bad. The punt was bad. Guys shouldn’t false start. I’m not “blaming” players but this wasn’t a Frost bad game. we balled out tonight and it was player execution/player mental mistakes. the special teams totally lost us this game. That absolutely was player execution. The 7yd punt and the wrong side field punt is players. edit: only coaching that is reallllly bad is o-line
  7. 2 returners back. coverage goes right. Ball kicked left. Touchdown. what in the actual f#&%
  8. o-line/special teams Rinse repeat we have a good team. A real fine team. But those two areas need a f’ing adjustment
  9. Don’t go chasing Wan’dale falls, please stick to the Toure’s and the Omar’s you’re used to. I know you’re that you’re gonna have it Wan’dale or nothin at all, Betts I think you’re Martin too fast.
  10. I’d buy it!! been waiting for his lil ‘breakout’, hopefully AM trusts him more and he has some strut going into B1G where he is very very needed. C’mon AM, throw him the damn ball! He looks like a pro guy but gotta prove it, and only AM and Frost can help that. where is our next very polished Toure or #1 juco Manning coming from? just read on espn Kiffin is throwing shade to the “Free Agency” of the Alabama’s of the world, Saban doesn’t deny. I know Omar has one more year but we got damn lucky w Toure this season. Betts looks to be rounding out and there is some talent on board tho none proving anything yet. Martin gets healthy and has 1 more? can Omar finish with 40 catches and 700 more yds over the last 8 games? His season would seem successful if we can win some of those games. Then finish w 60-65 catches and 900-1100 yds his senior year (espc if AM returns) and show that receivers can come here and be successful? Don’t want to think to far ahead but he had a “ break” year and is showing now, but really gotta turn it on and show up EACH game the rest of this year and totally ball out for us to attract future talent. Seems poised to do that.

The idea of getting into a 3 point stance and just asserting some will on teams would go a long long way to getting these boys some confidence and learn how to strong arm opponents. I like our scheme, but man…sometimes you have to be able to get low in a stance and crack some skulls. Show some Power and knock some heads around.
  12. one. This season could be a losing season then next better not be. 5 yrs would tell the full story. Not 3.75 seasons.
  13. I want to give him 5 full yrs. the covid year barely even counts to me, what a National but especially a B1G disgrace. I have patience. If after 5 yrs we haven’t gone to a bowl I can deal with what they decide.
  14. As we’ve seen…when we win there are also fewer mistakes.
  15. I’ll never forget at 9yrs old watching the Boz walk out for pregame warmups and enticing the crowd. He looked like the Warrior from WWF. The boo’s and curses were strong that day lol. What a disappointment that day was but the excitement, fans, energy of that day…whew, I can remember it well. Was on the sideline for a lot of the game and ended up watching the 4th qtr from there. The hitting and intensity was like nothing I’d seen up to that point. It was that day I thought Switzer was the devil and all things OU were his demons. until I was like 20 I hated that maroon corps. I relished our dominance of them in the 90s and their downfall. It was a true, bones in rivalry. The B12 crushed it, along w our downfall. now, sadly it’s just another game I hope we play well in. I have no ill feelings for OU anymore, actually kinda respect what they’ve done. But damn, if for some God like intervention we win…I’ll be teeping my 2 OU buddies houses and texting them every time I feel like it for the next 5 yrs to remind them. im 44 and remember what it felt like to really, nearly, hate another team. I’ve grown to dislike iowa and Wiscy but nothing compared to the N/OU rivalry.
  16. damn. people who know football, know football. Rob is dead on in his assessment. So good… he probly saw those mistakes right at the snap of the ball. Crystal clear and obvious to those who have watched hours upon hours of film. like I was saying when the RB doesn’t carry out his fake…all the details matter. All of them.
  17. Great play and concept but honesty what I see is the RB making a fake and stopping in the hole. Watch it again. He fakes getting the ball, takes a little bump and just stops. Man…. You got RUN THROUGH the fake. You need to be getting tackled hard cuz they think you have the ball. Do it hard all the way. Alllll the way. Then, when you do get the ball, you’ll make the extra yds or break a big one cuz you are always running hard. Those little tiny details matter so much.
  18. Been reading this whole thread since it started. came to this: Does hiring Trev give Frost his full 5 yrs (this year and next) to see what comes of his initial hiring (to “right the ship,” 5-6 yrs) or does Trev have the ability to see just this season no matter what and decide we move on? i was painfully disgusted by the illinoise game. Thought it was pretty abysmal. “More the same under Frost” for sure. Thank god we won this week and have 9 more to play. but after 1 game we calling for the head of the coach who has to turn it all around only to hand the keys to another guy who could struggle or benefit from what Frost has built or sucked at? I’d rather go thru this season, ranked 2nd toughest schedule by most, and see what his final 5th year of judgment (that used to be the norm time given) can bring after next year. we can throw out names and records and accomplishments all day long of coaches from all over all day long. But it don’t mean s#!t. Big name guys who would have to be lured or smaller name guys who’ve “had success” at lesser knowns. I for one want to just watch the damn games this season. Make an unemotional decision about the state of the program at the END OF THE YEAR, and most likely give Frost his 5th year to reality prove it. Why call for firing when it’s been the most bizarre 3 yr start to a coaching career…1st game ever canceled, lockdown BS, 2nd toughest schedule, new AD, terrible cupboard, etc. I say, personally, he gets this yr and next to have his full 5 yrs. Especially if Martinez comes back for his own super 6 PS: espn literal headline today was “is this the beginning of the end of the Clemson dynasty” Are you f#&%ing kidding me?!? Let’s not overreact of where we have been and where we want to be.
  19. Lots of close games/upsets today. Obv Illinoise was supper hyped and at home for us in BB first game then laid an egg today. We crushed our weaker opponent OTOH. LSU, CLEM, OU (win but not great late), UCLA, etc etc. we still have 9 games so let’s just watch them and see
  20. I learned over the first 2 games we actually do have 3-4 “go to” plays that seem to work. There really is a scheme they are pushing and ran plays that were cohesive. The long pitch out of motion, if executed properly is nearly unstoppable the way it’s drawn up (strong side left, slot TE blocks backside LB, DE has to take dive back, safety too far away, good blocking on perimeter by WR etc) if Martinez would be this decisive on a pass to run, he really is dangerous. granted we were much more talented but these are the games the players need to know they can run away from a team or beat someone inside a packed house, against a different team, and build on it. defense looks like it can manage its own if offense does their part. put 2 together and see how it goes v OK
  21. Dear Lord, thank you we won. amen
  22. Stepp interview is so refreshing to hear. All in, all group, compete, be positive, no jealousy. especially from a guy who transferred in (he’s seen a different perspective), he sees a positive thing going on and it sounds like a good culture at least for RBs. everyone plays, critique the bad but got a much needed W
  23. I’m glad I’m in Cabo hopefully when I check back after the 4th margarita we have our s#!t figured out. play like you f#&%ing want it for once
  24. I don’t gamble but I’d bet, I’m gonna die if I don’t get a cigarette… name the band!
