How about this for a rule change in major sports - if you injure a player by performing an illegal move, you sit out as long as they do.

He sticks his leg out on his shot several times because he shoots several fadeaways - 99% of basketball players kick their leg out when they fadeaway from the basket. It's a natural body movement to generate power. I could literally link to dozens of videos to prove this.
No "could it have been"; it was. According to the league, and every commentator that had something to say. It was unnecessary, and Jones has a history of intentionally flagrant fouls against Kobe.
