Coach, won't get any argument from me on that point, but you can still hug your kids when they walk in the door, feed them, cloth them, give them shelter. It's better than what many have to go without! But I understand your point!

If kids have chemical imbalances that cause depression, that's legitimate. If kids have situational depression over something they're having a hard time dealing with, that's also legitimate. I understand a lot of people have this mindset of 'suck it up', but by actually saying that, you're working against the end goal you'd prefer. They're actually trying to get better. Do we want them to deal with their problems, or do we want to ridicule them for having them?
